Scout during the season, then use the mock draft, do some scouting drills by then you should have more than enough info to guage where he might go. If you like him that much do what most GM's do to get there guy....Trade up

Well I decided he would be worth a 12-15 pick for me. Unfortunately...

Good deal can't fault a move like that. But thats what I been saying for awhile now. We have plenty of good to great players to pick from. It kind of defeats the purpose of us creating 130 page scouting reports 5 full scouting games and all that good info if people only using top 5 guys. I'm waiting for people to find the REAL hidden gems just don't expect to find them in year one basketball don't work like that

Here is the VERY late write up for Fictional Class 4. I was just going to put it on the first post but figured it was worth posting here as well just in case everyone wanted to read it. I'm catching up fellas lol.

          F – Jermaine Harrison - Oklahoma
          F – Ahmad Harmon – Kansas State
          C – Ty Hawkins – NC State

          Point Guard
California point guard James Sterling may honestly be the most relaxed basketball player I have ever been around. He is soft spoken, smart and extremely positive about seemingly everything. Did I mention that he is a terror on the basketball court. In this day and age, a point guard of Sterling’s caliber is usually bolting to the NBA by their sophomore year. Not Sterling though. “If you don’t like that guy than there is just something wrong with you”, troubled California teammate Damon Grant said. “I call him for advice in basketball and life all the time and will continue to do so”. Sterling had a great career at California and posted numbers of 13.1 ppg , 9.7 apg and 1.8 spg last year. Whether he will be an All Star for years to come is up in the air but he appears to be ready to play right now.

          Other Notable Point Guards:
          Casey Wall/Georgetown/Freshman/11.1 ppg – 3.3 rpg – 6.1 apg– 1.6 spg
          Ellis Bridges/UCLA/Freshman/10.9 ppg – 3.9 rpg – 2.9 apg

          Shooting Guard
Where Brooklyn at? I’ll let UNC SG Santonio Graham answer that for you. Graham is no stranger to being in the spotlight whether it’s being a top high school prospect or deciding to go to UNC after verbally committing to Texas. One thing is for sure though, Graham plays a tough kind of ball that is necessary for someone his size. “Graham is small for a 2 but I’ll be damned if he doesn’t attack the rim like he doesn’t care about his body” Wake Forest forward Rasheed Frazier said. “He is the definition of having no fear”. Graham is an explosive, very quick guard that lived up to expectations (in my opinion to the hype). One thing is for sure… fans of any team will be happy to have him. Unless you are a University of Texas fan as well.

          Other Notable Shooting Guards:
          Newly Cox/Army/Freshman/15.1 ppg – 7.8 rpg – 2.0 apg – 2.7 spg – 1.2 bpg
          Brevin Myrick/Auburn/Sophomore/17.7 ppg – 3.4 apg

          Small Forward
Well, Baylor forward Mario Bethea stayed at Baylor so that he could show what he could do. He answered to the tune of 16.9 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 1.8 apg and 1.9 spg. Everyone knew that Bethea was an NBA player but he really showed that he could potentially be the centerpiece of an NBA franchise last year at Baylor. “I don’t really know if there is anything that Bethea can’t do on the basketball court” former teammate and current NBA player Jerome Sims said. “I’m actually glad that he stayed for one more year because I don’t think his performance the previous year did him justice. It would be great to play with him again”. While the possibility of Sims and Bethea hooing up again are unlikely, Bethea’s willingness to put forth 110 percent on defense will be appreciated by any player. “I like scoring, but I get more of a thrill from frustrating an offense” Bethea said when asked about his game. Let’s see if how his talent translates to the NBA game.

          Other Notable Small Forwards:
          Wes Davidson/Nevada/Senior/19.2 ppg – 9.6 rpg – 2.0 bpg
          Anton Urbanek/Slovenia/10.3 ppg – 4.0 rpg – 1.9 bpg – 1.8 spg
          Rasheed Frazier/Wake Forest/Sophomore/16.3 ppg – 5.8 rpg – 4.2 apg

          Power Forward
Who didn’t think that Ahmad Harmon would be gone after his dominating campaign last year? If you raised your hand, take that same hand and slap yourself with it. Harmon is a perfect example of a player that only went to college because it is mandatory. Harmon made it known that he was NBA bound and honestly had the body and the skill to do it. No matter though. He simply went to college and dominated and made himself the consensus number one pick. Harmon has superb skills on both sides of the ball and his stat line showed it (20.4 ppg , 9.6 rpg, 2.9 apg, 2.1 spg, 2.7 bpg). When asked how you guard Ahmad Harmon, Texas Tech forward said “If I had the answer to that, I would be rich). When asked if he could dominate in the NBA the same way he dominated the college game, Harmon simply said, “We are about to find out”. I don’t think anyone will be dumb enough to pass up Harmon at the number one pick.

          Other Notable Power Forwards:
          Nini Gibson/LSU/Sophomore/15.6 ppg – 8.0 rpg
          Sean Dixon/Kentucky/Freshman/9.8 ppg – 8.1 rpg – 3.1 bpg
          Leon Tucker/Louisville/Sophomore/14.1 ppg – 5.7 rpg – 1.8 spg – 1.9 bpg

          Center
Talk about showing up your big brother. North Carolina State center Ty Hawkins decided to go to NC State even after his older brother, Indiana State PF David Hawkins, urged him to come there. The likelihood of the two meeting that season weren’t likely but Ty got his chance and lit his big brother and Indiana State up in a 20 point victory. “He deserved it for all the butt whippings he gave me on the court growing up” Ty Hawkins said with a smile. Hawkins, who averaged 13.7 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 2.9 bpg didn’t have the most consistent season, but has shown flashes of brilliance that has scouts believing that he is worthy of at least a lottery pick. While some believe that Hawkins could have been a top 5 pick if he went back to school, David Hawkins approves of his younger brother’s decision. “I’m just happy for him” David said. “Anything can happen and it would be a shame if he were to suffer a severe injury after coming back. His stock is pretty high and we are both confident about his decision. I will be there to support him on draft night”. If David has another season like he did this season, his younger brother will be able to return the favor sooner than later. Expect to see Ty Hawkins go in the top ten.

          Other Notable Centers:
          Jabari Woodson/Indiana/Freshman/14.8 ppg – 8.6 rpg
          Donnell Hickson/St.Mary’s/Senior/12.4 ppg – 9.9 rpg – 3.2 bpg

Also wanted to let you guys know that I made a mistake on the top 5 high school senior's section as I forgot to change the weight for the prospects from the previous class. I will be correcting that and resending to everyone either later tonight or tomorrow. Sowie!

Actually, i did notice it and enjoyed how players from past draft classes would have storylines that connect to the current draft class. Looking forward to hopefully seeing more of it. You guys are doing a fine job. I enjoy these draft classes thoroughly.

I'm excited about his class. Looks like cincy's going to have a hell of a freshman class! Jacoby ross caught my eye... Now i'm wondering if i pass on braithwaite, hold onto tyson chandler a couple more years and try to land jacoby ross! I know it's risky because braithwaite is a stud and it still remains to be seen whether ross will perform but i i'm intrigued. Awesome job on this hs class.

I'm i love with santonio graham. I plan on taking a couple offseasons to maximize his potential. He's got the d of a gary payton, picking pockets and racking up steals... the approach to the game of an allen iverson, attacking the basket with no fear or regard for his personal saftey... And the size and overall physical attributes reminiscint of a d. Wade. And the fact that my nets got their brooklyn boy makes it all the more exciting.

I emailed me this info to everyone on the list last night but if you are not on he email list, here is the first of the fictional draft class 6 info.

                            Top 5 High School Seniors*

                            1)*Elan Baylor SF/6-9 199 lbs./Bethel (Hampton, VA)
                            Committed: University of Cincinnati*

Here’s a little riddle for you. How many dominoes does it take to make the rest fall… just one and Elan Baylor appears to be that one domino at the front of the line. Elan Baylor is next in the line of high school players that appear to be head and shoulders above the competition. Let’s start from the beginning. Elan Baylor’s older brother Kurtis happens to one of Chris Bishop’s best friends. Kurtis took Elan to many of Chris’ games while he was at Cincy and allowed Elan to become very fond of the campus and school. So much so that Elan committed to Cincinnati before his senior season even started. Elan’s best friend, David Davenport, also happens to be his high school teammate and the fifth overall prospect in this upcoming recruiting class. So, it’s to no surprise that shortly after Elan committed to Cincinnati, Mr. Davenport’s announcement was not far behind. There are more pieces to this puzzle but we will get to that a little later. Ya know, I almost forgot to talk about this kids game. He’s an athletic freak, superior on ball defender, good post defender, smart… etc. etc. Bottom line, he… is… a beast.*

                            2)*Darryl Jones/6-6 194 lbs./Lawndale (Lawndale, CA)
                            Committed: University of Cincinnati*

Remember David Davenport that we talked about earlier? Well, he and the number 2 prospect Darryl Jones have a connection as well. Their fathers played college ball together and although the two live across the country, they remain close. Now, I am not here to say that the relationship between the two played a part in Darryl Jones announcing that he would be attending Cincinnati the same week that David Davenport did but… we all know that it had something to do with it. Darrly Jones is not a great offensive player but he is quick and can hit the mid range jumper with consistency. His bread and butter is his defense. While not as great of a defender as Ryan Stafford was in high school, I would consider Jones to be the best defender coming out of high school this year. Jones will want to develop a more consistent offensive game but this kid is NBA ready on the defensive side as we speak.*

                            3)*Jacoby Ross/PF/6-8 209 lbs./ Wheeler (Marietta, GA)
Top Five Schools: Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, Texas, Syracuse, Georgia*

Before we even jump in to the kids story, let’s talk about what he can do on the court. Jacoby is what I would consider to be a frail kid but he doesn’t play like it. Standing at 6’8 and 209 pounds, Jacoby played a little SF, PF and C. He has surprisingly good handles and a very reliable mid range jumper. But what I love seeing from this kid is his emphatic blocks. Remember how Kenyon Martin used to throw shots when was at Cincinnati? This kid reminds me of that. SPEAKING OF CINCINATTI, that just so happens to be one of the schools that Ross is considering. Cincy was not even on Ross’ radar but what did I tell you about those dominoes. After Darryl Jones, David Davenport and Elan Baylor committed to Cincy, the school quickly appeared on his top 5. Maybe there’s something that we don’t know…. Or maybe he just wants to be part of what appears to be a superstar team in the making. Only time will tell but if he decides on Cincinnati, my goodness watch out.

                            4)*Justin Copeland/PF/6-8 240 lbs./Page (Greensboro, NC)
Top Five Schools: Duke, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Baylor

The North Carolina kid looks to be another in the long line of studs coming out of the area. And before you ask, NO he is not considering Cincinnati. Copeland is a loud mouth kid that will throw you off of your game similar to Joakim Noah. Interestingly enough, he has a similar skill set. Copeland is an excellent post defender and a marvelous rebounder. In his final game as a senior, Copeland pulled down 28 rebounds and tallied 9 blocks. Similar to Darryl Jones, Copeland really needs some work on his offensive game as he struggles to score on a consistent basis against high quality competition when he is not in transition or scoring off of a put back. As it stands, Copeland looks to be attending one of the big time North Carolina schools. I honestly think that he will land at Duke but who knows.*

                            5)*David Davenport/PF/6-9 245 lbs./Bethel (Hampton, VA)
                            Committed: University of Cincinnati*

Well, we have already discussed Mr. Davenport in several other entries so we won’t dive too much in to that. All you need to know is that Davenport was the second in a trio of high school powerhouses to commit to the Bearcats. Davenport has played second fiddle to Elan Baylor for four years but it hasn’t stopped him from being a dominate force when he is able to show his stuff. Davenport is the only recruit that Cincy has scooped up so far that is a legitimate post player. Davenport has the size, power and finesse that has given other high school players nightmares. Davenport will once again more than likely play second fiddle… or maybe third or fourth. I do know this though… he will get his shine if he is given the opportunity.
