I've been playing some nba today games, which is BEST for trying out sliders because right after the game you can see exactly how close to real life or "realistic" the sliders are. Anyway, the most notable game was Hawks v Timberwolves. I won 113-87 almost DEAD ON real life. I had reasonable stats, FG, AST, TO, ORB-DRB, and so on. Minnesota shot 45% (37/82) and I shot a whopping 63% (49/77). As unrealistic as that might sound the MAIN reason was I had 76 points in the paint. So most were jams and layups which are money and really boost that percentage.

I changed your sliders, because before I hadn't won a game since buying the game. I had a 10 game record of losing by 10 or more. Anyway, I kept all the cpu sliders and human sliders the SAME as your execpt "shooting sliders" for human. I kept them all at 50. That's all, and from that I've been shooting pretty well and not pulling my hair out.

So you raised the shooting %'s? Whatever works for you! I think you'll see higher numbers overall but good luck either way.

can these be used 4 user vs. user.......if not what tweaks would any of u suggest

You can use them in head to head. Use the user shooting %'s. It's essentially what we do in our OS Vets online league.

is defensiven assist at 0 or 50?

That's a per player preference.

I like it on 0-10. I don't really like the AI moving my player into a better position for me.

If I wanted to play user to user u said edit the user sliders right so do I just keep everything cpu at default or use your sliders for the cpu too.

Well if you play user vs. user, it will use the sliders listed in the users section.

If you put them all in, it will only use the CPU sliders to dictate outcomes when playing the CPU, they won't effect user vs. user games.

ive heard these are good sliders im getting the game in a few hours, would these sliders be okay for smaller qtrs ie 3/4 and sim the same?
i want to eradicate the low box scores the cpu gets in sim games compared to my game scores..

would there be anything you would change of you were to play these small qtrs??

That's a tough one Dan. I honestly have no idea how you would be able to get good, realistic stats with less time. They are designed to keep that balance there over the course of a full, long (11-12 min) game.

You can use them with shorter quarters, but I have a feeling you'll end up with lots of extremes, especially in terms of shooting %.

I use these sliders with 6 min quarters and everything is accurate just cut in half (except FG%'s which are accurate)...

However I'm not very good so I made some small changes... mainly the defensive awareness and on-ball defense for both USER/CPU I set to 58.

I also use the following sliders for shooting success (user/cpu the same):

45 Short
45 Close
47 Mid
40 3-PT
47 Dunk
47 Layup
47 Dunk in Traffic

This is also on the PC so pre-patch... not sure how much that matters.

These have been the best sliders i've used, but man Dwight Howard pissed me off with these. using the Nets i could NOT keep him off the offensive boards. Still, not complaining because it still didn't feel like i was cheated out of a win.

thanks guys and happy new year to you all.

Ive been playing a few gamees (went straight into season mode) and i noticed that maybe they have fixed this one over the last 2k09. The sim games were fetching in pretty good scores. Normally by the 2nd or 3rd game ill be dominating the ppg and spg etc leaders, but with 3 min qtrs i was getting 7 points av a game with howard, and wade was on top with 10ppg. Even with howard his offensive rbds avg were 5/6 place on the leaders. I know im not that great at this game yet, but i can def notice a difference, with the sim games. I think ppg the highest was averaging at 29 i was on 22ish i think so im not dominating there anymore.

Pared i used your foul settings, and theres more fouling now to give which imo feels more authentic. I upped the stamina to 75 just to sub out players in the small time im playing as if they were pling longer qtrs.

But whats annoying me at mo is the failed alley oops cpu and myself keep attempting. Ive even got alley oops on 10, what else can i do to stop this ive lost games cos im throwing up dud loops?!?

Yeah Pared I get a lot of missed alley oops also. But mostly on the computer side. Is there anyway to change this?
