Wat's up fellas. i'm not sure how many of you are keeping an eye out for The Game & JFK Essential Rosters, but they are close to being done. They only have to finish player roles and some minor stuff, but the major stuff is already finish. These play great with the settings on page 1.

    minor tweak:

    pass accuracy - 47(hum) 45(cpu)

      Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)

Hello guys, yesterday I played 3 games and did some major testing. Numbers are really good but in the last games I had a serious issue, my team committing half the CPU fouls, that can be translated also in -> CPU not attacking the basket enough. My average FTA is 30, CPU is 20 and going down. I mean, 20 is not bad, but I feel that going inside often you can exploit the CPU and the CPU doesn't do the same. Even when they post up they eventually do the fadeaway thing. I found that the good balance for human fouls/FTA attempted is to put CPU shooting fouls slider to 62. On the CPU side I had to do something else.

So i decided to do some serious test on some sliders (that's the only way you can learn how sliders work). I put OFF AWA and DEF AWA back to 50 and one game later ATTACK BASKET to 100. The first two sliders make the whole game more "human" and less scripted. I did this trying to disrupt the CPU always shooting off screens and make it "think" more and have some esitation (and also the curiosity to see what changes... again a learning method).

I had two good games with these settings. More fouls commited by my team but still not enough for my taste. Next I'll try with HUM shooting fouls to 65 and then balance. An issue has come out though, in these two games FG% was a bit low for both HUM and CPU. I don't see why OFF AWA should have an effect on the shoots success and that's why this needs more testing.

At the end of it I wanted to suggest to people having serious problems playing at this level to lower OFF and DEF AWA to default and see what happens. From there you can go up and maintain a +5 OFF AWA on DEF AWA (55-50, 72-67, ecc.). Next time I can try leaving OFF and DEF AWA to default and go back to the Purist original set for shoot success sliders. Attack the basket is dangerous. You see CPU making a lot of isomoving, but the fadeaway thing is disappeared. At last I saw Shaq doing the turnaround thing in the post against my C and getting a foul. Never saw this before.

The whole thing needs a lot of testing. You can try at your own risk, eh eh :-D

The turnover/steal thing is really tough. I got the perfect steals (6, 7, 8 per game) and turnovers got a tad low, but I'm happy with that. I can always go down further with pass accuracy, but then it gets almost ridicolous.

      Be careful! ;-)

        Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)

In my side with the original set of first page.

I just put the clutch ON and on 50 in sliders, it work good and change the difficulty, more playable. No need to change anything, I find some good vibration with it. But search the perfect numbers, 27 ? 3 ? 7 ? 35 ? 45 ? 50 ? these numbers are good and change the scoring difference at the end of the game I think.
It make the game Less scripted too, I will maybe try to couple it with Cesco adjustement, don't know yet.

I also understand how to play in D, it change everything, thx to Pabby for his advice.

I'll try the clutch thing as soon as I've finished with my latest tests. Thanks for the advice!

If you are unsure on the number you can always start from the default SIM from 2K, 35 if I remember correctly.

              Yes it's 35. But I put i'm on 50 for a try.

The Clutch ON can made one of the two teams take the leads in the first or in the second QT.

The Numbers in the sliders will play on the difference of scoring in the game and at the end.

I don't know if it give us a sheme of game who was scripted. I haven't made enough game with it. I have the Impression that the team who win the game always started the game correctly with a lot of Basket before the cpu wake up. Cesco if you test it, look something, a team will put something like 10 points before you or the cpu will wake up and one of the two will take lead fast in the start or midlle of the second QT. If the thing are like that when you will test, it's not good. (don't know if you understand what I want tell)

I just know that I'd started two Game with the C's
-The first vs the Clippers, I've take the lead by +15 near the HalfTime
-The Second Vs The Heat, it was them who take the lead in the first.

So the difficulty's move when we play against a good or bad teams. With Clutch Off and at 0 it's really closed and I never make a run like cpu did.

I have clutch at 0 and I often see runs. I think it's exaggerated to say that the whole game is scripted. Maybe some moments are scripted, but only after user errors. Who knows, maybe after too many turnovers or bad shots by the user the CPU takes a run. So the run is a consequence of something done by the user.

After I've settled with my other tests I'll give a try to clutch too.

Cesco, why don't you make your own thread and post your updated sliders in there? Just give the credit to this set and then you can update the first post with any edits/changes that you make along the way.

I've been digging for pages and can't find what the latest set is. Are you guys still editing the coaching profiles/settings as well?

                            Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)

I'm liking these sliders so far. I ran with the new-look NY Knicks at home against the Boston Celtics and lost 98-95.

Ray Allen killed me, scoring 36 points and knocking down 7-of-8 from 3-pt. land. But, that was MY fault for not adjusting my defensive strategy. I'd become a little lazy on PRO, as I didn't really have to worry about adjustments b/c it seemed the CPU would cool itself off without me having to do anything.

I also liked how Boston tried to force the ball out of Melo and Amar'e's hands with almost immediate double-teams in the post. It forced me to really pay attention to floor spacing and look for cutters or guys spotting up for 3, instead of just backing down my man and scoring at will in the paint.

CPU shooting percentages were another reason I was looking for a change in sliders. Boston shot 49% for the game, 10-15% improvement from what I had been seeing on PRO. Very happy with that. I was at 44% for the game, and you'll get no complaints from me about that, either.

Going to run some more games, but really liking what I am seeing so far.

-Sag off the big player and franchise player in defense in coach profil.

                              -Play cool and smart

-Put The clutch ON and put him on 50 in The Sliders

Take a big team vs a midlle or bad team and test

Cesco, could you post the sliders you are using now or the edits you have made to this slider set because i can't stop the CPU from scoring in the paint and everytime i get called a shooting foul on me most of the time the CPU will get the ball in the basket and then they have the AND-1.
