If that was the case, then everyone would be losing games, all the time...which isnt the case. This also goes to everyone losing, dont blame the settings, blame yourselves and step up. This game needs to be played on allstar, because the CPU is a lot smart, but it doesn't cheat you like say HOF.

You should not be looking for post's with W's next to them for "hope", people who win on these settings aren't finding some golden flaw in the CPU...we are playing and giving 100% to get the W. I don't care if you are playing the worst team in the league, GO HARD OR GO HOME. On any given day, any team can win, so don't assume the settings are bad because the nets beat you by 10 or more points, STEP UP!

we are getting realistic stats with these settings, nothing out the ordinary...so if you aren't getting W's it has to be something wrong in your game plan.

    GO HARD OR GO HOME!
WOW!!! Guess I need to go home then, lol. PRO that is.

Tried these out on Pro and I really am shocked how it played out. Used the Lakers vs Knicks and a lot of the things that I was having issues with were toned down. TO's seemed normal, the game seemed to not be pre-determined for me as things happened more natural. Cpu actually missed wide open shots at times and when they did hit or went on a roll I was not "ROLLING MY EYES" saying GTFOH.

AllStar may be the way to go for some but on Pro with these same settings I can again have a fun game without all the BS that I was experiencing on that level.

Thanks to all who have left ideas, thoughts as for me I appreciate it. PEACE!!!

No disrespect taken, of course, but maybe you haven't read the thread from the beginning. If you do you'll realize that you are one of the few people consistently winning here... good for you, but don't say that everyone who sees flaws in how the CPU reacts are simply losers. Everyone has an opinion, but here a lot of people see the same things I see in this game.

Realistic stats come from the losing team too, so they don't mean anything in this contest. As I said before I don't mind losing, but how I lose. I don't mind losing to the Celtics or the the Raptors as long as the Raptors don't play exactly like the Celtics. I'd be curious to make an average of all the point differences between the winning team and the losing team in AS... I'm not expecting more than 10 but way less for sure.

Anyway peace my friend, I'm happy on my PRO game and I'm not asking anyone to change these sliders to please me. I'll try again AS and I'll "step up my game" and "go hard" even if these words won't help much I'm afraid :-(

it's cool, i did'nt mean to offend you or anyone having issues with these sliders. I'm also not saying they are perfect. I'm also not always "winning", but i enjoy the competition more than the Pro sliders.

again, i did not mean to offend anyone, enjoy the game fellas! on whatever settings you please.

However, we are trying to make this "video game" play "realistic basketball", and by that we should not play it like a "video game", meaning we have to think and play like a real life basketball team. Which is why i check the sliders and roster sections daily, as do many of you.

i remember the czar said "stop playing video games and play basketball", if you want to succeed in this game. This is very true.

now lets keep these stats coming so we can get a good idea on what needs tweaking!

I think that the fact the CPU on All-Star keep scores tight and even make you go ice cold is not an abstract idea anymore, and it has been confirmed by many people so far. Or we can see it from another perspective and say that all these people (put me in the group) are not good enough for these sliders and for the All-Star level, and I can accept it. But if the CPU All-Star logic is not measurable by numbers it cannot be said that it doesn't exist. Because the CPU doesn't simply blow you out, but stays with you and gives you a very hard time at some point, using some arguable ways.

I don't want to lead a crusade against the All-Star level, I'm not that person. As I said thousand of times maybe I'm not good enough at this game, but at the same time again I always stressed that these sliders are almost perfect. FOR ME the difficulty thing goes beyond the slider set. Tests are proving that these sliders + All-Star level is the way to go, and that's great. But again for my playing experience, at the moment, this leads to more frustration than fun and I almost quit on this game because of this.

If you're sure that this can be corrected via sliders I'll be the first in line to test for sure, and I really hope this can be done. If it turns out everything is perfect as is then I'll stick on pro and I'll accept the fact that AS is too much for an old player like me :-D
Don't misunderstand me. I am not systematic, despite all appearances. I already have an abstraction in mind, but I don't want to destroy 22 games of research by releasing it into the wild.

If we get to 30, changes will be made. If not, oh well.

My problem with Pro is simple: the CPU does not pass the ball.

That's true. Usually the player intended for shooting does whatever he needs to shoot it, good or bad that is. You mean passing in those situation where the shooter is clearly overwhelmed with defenders and does not try to pass to someone else, right?

Trust me, AK, I feel ya. But, the question is not how good do you have to play to win, but how bad you have to play to lose. There should be some leeway to stink up the gym and still win w/ elite teams-- at least, occasionally.

But, please be respectful and remember that Cesco is half the reason you have the sliders you love so much.

Yup. I mean their court vision is severely hampered (even w/ OFF AWR @ 100). I don't see a way to correct it. In fact, until I played extensively on AS, I didn't even know the game could do these things.

The trick is to not remove this from AS to make it realistic, to not make AS become PRO+.

The majority of passing on PRO is play-based, not court-awareness based. Players seem much more single-minded on PRO. On AS, when a player ends up in a sticky situation, they dish the ball a lot more.

I think the popularity of the NBA will limit us in this regard.

Yesterday vs The Cavs, i've seen a lot of good action with a lot of pass and incrdible action, I've came back in the menu for see if i was not in AS by mistake but I must reconize that the cpu do that when he see he's in the complete Shi**.

I don't understand the gap there is between the two level.

One who is natural like cesco said but with little weird thing
and One who is totally incredible, when I play AS I have impression to be a League One French BBall team Vs The 98 Bulls .

I play on ball D on every player that touches the ball for the CPU. If i see a play developing and a player starts running around screens etc. i will switch to his defender.
