Just to get a fair idea, are you looking to get the final version of the collab sliders out within the next week or two?

Oh it will definitely be posted this week. It's just a question of when it will be posted between now and Thursday.

I always felt like you had the best rosters along with Mkharsh on these boards so even though I'm using PJT's rosters (and I know you'll have a separate set for that roster) I got anxious so I'm going to try out the ones you just posted and leave you some feedback.

        EDIT: Also I'll be using

        Offensive Rebounding - 62/48
        Defensive Rebounding - 58/52
        CPU steal-50
        User Ballhandling-38

as you posted on the last page.

Ok I played a few games with these using PJT's roster and I have some feedback sorry if it gets lengthy.

First of all I actually prefer Real Shooting % so that may have had a little impact on the FG %'s, but probably not that much also I played on Superstar. Now to the Sliders I really don't think you have too much editing to do from roster to roster and I can say one thing you did get right is its fun! The game flows great and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed myself the whole time!

            Offense

Now I feel like the offense was great I think the shooting sliders are perfect for where they are except the 3pt slider for both sides (that may need a 1 point bump for both sides Maybe...) I felt like I was hitting shots that I was supposed to and missing the ones that I should have missed. Also going into the paint I was finishing with stronger players and not so much with the weaker ones. The ratings really showed through in that category. The CPU on the other hand I felt like they could have made more of their shots I may bump the CPU a few clicks we'll see how that plays out.

I think the best thing you did in this slider set was put the on ball steal attempt slider high around 95. I know some people were complaining about it, but me I felt the need to actually be aware of who I was being guarded by, when I played against the Bucks I was very cautious in front of Monta Ellis, because if I wasn't he would try (and sometimes succeed) to rip me. I really felt like the better defenders attacked me as soon as I crossed half court and that is something that I have
Never seen from ANY slider set, so kudos to you for getting creative with that. (Note:I did have User ballhandling at 38 I think thats a great spot)

            Defense

On-Ball defense at 75 is a blast I loved using guys like Jrue Holiday and LeBron James with these sliders defense is actually fun! I felt that there was a good amount of blocks (had one nasty chasedown block on me) and as long as I was smart there wasn't to many turnovers. Another cool thing was there was a lot of loose balls and I like to see that because we all know there are times when we are watching our team and we're just like "man they are playing sloppy right now." So that was cool to see.

Here are the box scores from 2 of the games that I played

            and Game 2

Now for the first game I was the Sixers and for the second game I was the Heat. Now it might seem like I destroyed both of these teams by the score, but I really didn't both of these games were very* close at one point and then usually a few minutes into the third the CPU just vanishes, I would highly suggest giving the CPU a huge boost to their consistency slider maybe to around 50, because I actually think I would have lost that Heat game vs the 76ers.

Now one issue that was present in all the games that I played was the CPU just refused to shoot the 3. (and they didn't shoot a lot from mid-range either) In the first game they shot 8 three's and in the second only 7 and All of these came in buzzerbeater and low shot clock situations and that just won't work. Remember NBA teams average around 18 3PA's a game! I've seen slider sets with the take mid-range tendency around 70 and the 3pt tendency around 75 I would definitely try something along the lines of that.

Last but not least one issue I had when I played as the heat vs the 76ers (btw I played both of these games with no injuries so Bynum was active) the CPU could not score in the post at all. I like having the inside shot slider low, when I used to make sliders I used to do the same thing, but the one major flaw is that it also effects the post moves inside so I would recommend bringing the Inside shot slider up to 42 where the Human is at, maybe even higher.

All in all this is the best base I have seen for a slider set, be it madden or 2k or NCAA I am having a lot of fun and you are doing a lot of things that haven't really been done before great job.

Re: NBA 2k13 "The Eccentric Edition" - All-Star Slider Set

Been playing Association with you 'swagged out' sliders and Rondo's roster. My Bulls are 92 overall with 78% chemistry (made a lot of trades). Our record is 10-1. I just control the SG.

              CHI 105 (48%/36%/82%, 11ORB, 41DRB, 7STLS) - SAC 90 (39%/21%/89%, 11ORB, 33DRB, 9STLS).
              CHI 111 (51/44/86, 6ORB, 39DRB, 11STL) - CLE 83 (38/17/76, 12ORB, 35 DRB, 3 STL).
              CHI 90 (39/37/70, 13 ORB, 39DRB, 9 STL) - NO 92 (46/14/73, 7 ORB, 43DRB, 7 STL)
              CHI 103 (48/20/87, 8ORB/45DRB/14STL/8BLK) - ORL 63 (29/11/64, 12ORB/35DRB/5 STL/0BLK)
              CHI 107 (48/33/86, 11ORB/46DRB/7STL/4BLK) - OKC 78 (39/33/76, 3ORB/30DRB/12STL/5BLK)
              CHI 109 (47/20/85, 10ORB/46DRB/8STL/4BLK) - MIN 80 (34/27/85, 9ORB/33DRB/6STL/4BLK)
              CHI 114 (52/28/81, 12ORB/36DRB/11STL/4BLK) - BOS 90 (42/25/82, 11ORB/33DRB/6STL/0BLK).
              CHI 105 (50/27/81, 5ORB/41DRB/11STL/2BLK) - PHX 86 (42/23/76, 3ORB/32DRB/6STL/2BLK).
              CHI 105 (51/0/95, 5ORB/51DRB/9STL/5BLK) - LAC 81 (36/17/66, 9ORB/31DRB/14STL/5BLK).
              CHI 98 (44/36/84, 9ORB/45DRB/8STL/3BLK) - POR 91 (37/40/73, 10ORB/35DRB/9STL/5BLK).
              CHI 104 (45/16/76, 16ORB/46DRB/5STL/6BLK) - HOU 90 (35/34/86, 8ORB/33DRB/10STL/8BLK).

As you can see, a lot of very comfortable wins. OKC is the most disappointing, as they had a comparable roster. But I put a double-team on Durant late in the first half and he didn't make a shot for the rest of the game. Westbrook only made 3 shots (and a few FT's).

Similar to your other sliders, any contested shot is a miss. Defense gets out way to quick from the paint. And as long as they get a hand up, even if it's at the last moment as it leaves the fingers, it's a miss. I think this needs a tweak. Haven't seen any good shooters nail a shot with the 'D' in their face, which you do in the NBA. Also see a lot of guys driving then pulling up, or stepping back, for the shot and the 'D' always recovers and puts off the shot or blocks it.

Steals... everyone tries and everyone is a good chance of getting one. Ball-handlers waiting for teammates to run a play invariably get stripped. I love the fact that steals are back with your sliders but this goes a step to far, I think. Might use those 'easier' settings, as you suggested in another post.

I've also noticed a lack of post-play. I had Carlos Boozer (who rarely saw the ball but shot well when he did). Same with Pau Gasol, who I traded Boozer for. Then I traded Gasol for Gay, and started Gibson; figuring if I'm not gonna get points there I might as well upgrade elsewhere and boost my D. Both Boozer and Gasol averaged around 7 shots a game (compared to around 20+ for the rest of the starters, including Noah). Maybe this is a problem with the roster but I've played associations with it before and seen good post-play from my PF.

My team is leading the league in OPPG, rebounds and point differential (20.6 - double the next best team!). 2nd in steals, but 23rd in blocks - this is with a front court of Noah and Gibson. They both average 1.5 for their careers but just 0.5 this season (with these sliders).

EDIT: I agree with something mentioned in the post above this one. Many of my games were close until a point, often early in the 3rd, where they just fall apart. Often I thought "wow, this might go down to the wire" then find myself up 15-20 in the 4th.

Re: NBA 2k13 "The Eccentric Edition" - All-Star Slider Set

Yea, that whole "3rd quarter anomaly" as I like to refer to it is annoying. It seems that it is something 2k has scripted into the game so that one of the teams goes on a run (most likely so that they can do that stupid Sprite segment at the beginning of every 4th quarter, gotta plug those sponsors somehow...). I am trying to fix it (and yes, the consistency slider is the only plausible answer), so hopefully I can alleviate enough of the scripted runs so that the game stays competitive.

Now, as for 3PT shots and the lack of a post presence for both of you, I have to attribute SOME of that to the fact that you are using different rosters. The mixtures of differing player tendencies and coach profiles between separate rosters means that every roster will play a little bit differently on the offensive end (ESPECIALLY when throwing in global slider adjustments to those tendencies), so much of that will have to be tweaked on your end. Luckily enough, it's a simply fix. Just increase whichever tendency you need by 5 clicks, play a game or two, and adjust from there.

JrueToTheGame, you suggest bumping the Mid-Range and 3PT tendencies up into the 70s, but I disagree with that. If you do, not only will ball-handlers take way too many (and unnecessary) pull-up jumpers, but they will also rush shots and take too many contested shots as well. AND, increasing offensive tendencies speeds up the offense, meaning more FG attempts per game, higher scores, more rebounds, etc etc. Obviously, that is not what anyone is looking for, so the answer lies elsewhere.

Just try increasing the tendencies that need it by 5 clicks and test from there. You could also try decreasing the Attack the Basket tendency, but I wouldn't advise it. Decreasing it causes a lot of timidity from the CPU, and aggressive PGs (for example) will refuse to drive the lane when they set up a pick 'n roll/fade.

And finally, don't worry too much here guys. I've made quite a few adjustments from the sliders posted in the OP, and I'm still making a few tweaks here and there. The official release of my slider set should fix most (if not all) of these issues.

That's strange.. Are you using the SiM Collab roster? Whenever I play the Heat, Lebron just destroys me on the drive until I force him to dish it out, and then Battier/Allen/Chalmers/Lewis/Bosh/Miller all kill me on 3s. You just have to protect the paint!

That's odd then, because I'm getting plenty of ball-movement from the Heat offense (with Lebron taking over periodically like he does IRL). I'll take a look later tonight and see if I can figure something out.

Dumb question, but did you make sure to LOAD the SiM Collab rosters after you downloaded them? You may be using the 2k Defaults on accident (not likely, but it's all I can think of).

                                Hello

What sliders set to be like in reality in association mode?

                                Thx
