Right now, the economy markets are gradated into tiers. All PO tier player buy and sell the same PO cards.
I don't know economic terminology, but by creating separate spheres of demand, you ultimately change the overall demand dynamic of which cards people want.Comment

Will start one in about 2 hours - if you are still searching then, I might join you.
Honestly it doesn't matter - will get a HoF card either I play with you or against other trucks

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Definitely agree that if there were more incentives to keep the cards - wether it be collections or what not that it would help with the supply/demand issue...
However CD would need to then look at increasing deck sizes etc to allow for this? Maybe once you get a card if you want to complete the collection you have to lock it in to your catalogue or something? Might be a way to take some of the excess cards out of the game? The Prodigal Son has returned to MyTeam Mobile as of 11th November 2015

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
I have to disagree - you can't compare the market in the forum with the "real market". We are only a few guys, the majority is not using the forum.
Therefore your statement isn't valid - at least in my eyes.
Posting in a forum and offering buybacks just increases your chances to actually sell a card.
CatDaddy is inflating the game with more and more Playoff cards - they are far away from special and making Pros is getting harder and harder with every event.
They want force us into buying credit packs - even if the game is only running 2 more months.
I really thought about it, 100 Euro would guarantee me 7 more Playoff Pros. But honestly? It is a joke and I rather throw the money out of the window than supporting this crap.
The only power we have - is sadly their wallets. So if nobody is spending - they need to change it.
Is it realistic? No!
There are many players with something like 1000 Games and tons of Great Pros (some of them even pro'd improperly) - but you never see those guys playing more games.
They hit the wall pretty soon, after investing some serious cash and then stop playing.
But CatDaddy is calling them more loyal than guys who played way more than 40000 games and stayed up all night to finish an event or energizing for the finals.
Nowadays I could use my PO Cards as training fodder - but actually I don't know what I should train. Generating credits out of the AH is still possible, but honestly I am tired of trying. Most of the time you get a timeout - as there are not enough credits flowing around.
Daily bonus is a drop in the ocean and season can only be won by trucks - or you get lucky. I've played something like 7 or 8 season and still collecting only HoF cards - which are now auction able - but oh wait, nobody wants them as we get 8 new Playoff cards each week. And lower tier players don't have to improve their decks from the scratch, like we did months ago.
This game is dying more - and this is the last try to generate some credits sales.
They know exactly why they don't change season rewards - and by throwing in 8 new PO cards each week, they ensure that the economy is somewhere as healthy as the Greece economy

You're obviously right about CD flooding the market. They've given up on AH this year. That's clear. The market was dead before they folded the market with POs anyway.
Hopefully they've learned their own lesson about how to regulate the market, but the player base needs to learn theirs too (and I'm sure they won't).Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
GD you're on a roll, Hardyz! Limited edition cards create smaller sub-economies. I love the idea because not only do you vary the cards, but you vary which cards are sold on the market and which are bought.
Right now, the economy markets are gradated into tiers. All PO tier player buy and sell the same PO cards.
I don't know economic terminology, but by creating separate spheres of demand, you ultimately change the overall demand dynamic of which cards people want.
What if this were a thing?
Create 96 Bulls lineup at Legendary tier, and get a 'free' Star tier Bulls card.
Crate a 01 Lakers lineup at Epic tier, and get a 'free' Leg tier Lakers card.
You see, ultimately the point is to:
1. Limit AH supply by...
2. Encouraging players to keep cards
3. Increase diversity of player decks
A simple system like this means that fans of separate teams seek to collect their historical team lineup.
In doing so, people withhold their cards, and new sub-economies are created for those cards.
I'd only be competing with other Bulls fans to build my 96 lineup. This would also mean that non-Bulls fans could reliably sell their Bulls cards.
I know this idea isn't perfect. Only a handful of teams have the most fans.
But what I'm trying to get across is that CD could design a system which operates on the same principle: Creating multiple economy 'spheres' rather than just one gigantic pool.
In fact, having to pick your favorite team should actually mean something past a logo, anyway. It would enhance the quality of the game.Comment

Low risk, High reward signing though... Evans has all the tools to be an elite defender with his athleticism and length and also started to flash a 3 point shot last year albeit in limit sample size. The Prodigal Son has returned to MyTeam Mobile as of 11th November 2015

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Why is everyone complaining about credit pack pricing? It's fine, the value if cards needs to be adjusted. Last year the best pack was 2500 credits which wasn't so bad. PO cards should be around the same price point. This would fix alot.

I just want to say that I appreciate the conversation going around right now. Everyone's bringing up some real good thought provoking points about the game, it's shortcomings, and possible improvement ideas. It's a breath of fresh air compared to the usual trolling and flaming out in the normal interwebs. Makes me appreciate the maturity of our community that much more.Comment

By decreasing the value of cards, you increase the value of credit packs. By increasing the value of credit packs, you decrease the value of cards.
That is to say if cards are cheaper, credit packs are 'worth' more, and if credit packs are cheaper, cards are 'worth' less.
PO cards being 2500 credits would mean that you can get 6 for $100 (15k credits). That breaks down to roughyl $16 per PO card.
What if you could just pay $16 for 7500 credits?
Edit: I would almost certainly buy a 7500 credit pack for 16, and likely more than once.Last edited by CedricFP; 07-06-2015, 01:52 AM.Comment
