I have a feeling they're gonna make a new sub tier of stars (Proven and Potential?) that are better than all stars so people still have an incentive to play

And how will we get those? Buying $50 packs? Attempting to be 1st or 2nd in a season full of cards already better than yours? Like Rookies and RS cards, they'll be too hard to get without money.

What percentage of people took advantage of the glitch? It doesn't seem like a huge percentage just by the response on the forums. 10 percent maybe?

Probably more than 10% and even that is no small percentage. When we are talking about the people last year who drafted special cards that was literally less than 0.5% of the players. If CD doesn't do anything they will lose at least a quarter of their players, at least until playoff tier

Someone should create a separate brainstorming thread for possible solutions to this problem. Hopefully CD will take notes.

There is no solution except to remove the bs cards from people's accounts.

The game is entirely broken otherwise. Even if they released playoff tier tomorrow or something those who glitched as lineups will have a huge advantage in getting them.

If CD can restore accidentally burned cards, they can do the opposite.

Imagine in an mmo if a huge percentage of the game population was leveled from say average of 30 out of 60 to suddenly all 60 with high level gear. The end game is getting as Rs hof cards and now the end game is over, dead.

If you were one of the higher paying players who may have missed out, I'd highly doubt you'd feel the same way. Right now if you're them, you're pissed.

If you're one of the higher paying players I doubt you'd care. Your RC & RS cards still dominate every matchup. I only have 4 RC/RS pros & this has very little effect on me. I still dominate the ALL AS LUs in RC.. Seasons may be a little harder, but with Kawhi + another RS single I have + w/e reward i get from my current Finals matchup, 6-7 top tier pros should be enough to still compete in most seasons. Do feel bad for the normal star users tho.

You're right but they restore on a case by case basis. If they do it like that it could take months. There are probably 300 to 400 thousand player accounts maybe more. Whatever CD does, it's going to cost them.

One of the ideas I thought of as a possible easy fix is to boost HoF/RS card stats a bit, then change the season rewards to give RS to first place, HoF second place, AS to to semis, and Regular star to quarter+. Making AS not quite as appealing.

There's just no way to justify this glitch.

Really funny than the great majority of people justifying the glitch on twitter and global chat actually took advantage of it, it's just pure bs.

I didin't take advantage of it, but what if I did?
I would have a stacked deck right now, with no motivation at all to improve it.
No motivation for grinding (i can t get event star RC cards so why even bother?)
No motivation to improve.

The game is broken, those AS cards out there ruined it, so they must be removed.
No other way.

I think that CD will fix it, because

1)we all know how greedy they are about their money: with this game-breaking glitch NO ONE has the need to buy anything right now.
Big spenders are pissed, people who got the glitch are stacked and people who didn't are even more pissed.

2)They won't renounce to their revenues, no matter what, and they never admitted a "user-friendly" bug (remember the first rttc? GN fill in 2 minutes removed after 15 minutes...)

My advice is: let's focus on what's good for the game.
If they take away your glitched AS cards, you won't lose anything really, 'cos you shouldn't have those in your deck, simple as that.

I see a few possibilities for what cat daddy can do to help make up for this glitch

1. Make AS cards draft able/ auction able to try and help the auction house not die off completely.

2. This one is a little different just think it sounded fun, give out like rewards to whoever got the most AS Stars but take the cards back. Rewards being like 2 days double picks, 5 free wild cards or something.

3. Simply being reset the servers back to how they were before the glitch happened. Even though this could be extremely difficult I'm not really sure.

These ideas might be dumb, but I feel they have to address it someway.
