    Sidenote: the team packs will NOT give out 2 of the same cards
    I like the structure here, in terms of the rewards getting better for making it further.

    IMO however, I would like to see the rewards across the board improved. There should be a chance to get a legendary in season mode, considering it's really the main game mode (a very small chance, and don't even tell me that getting 2 draft picks is a chance!).

    I for instance have played 10+ season and only once gotten an epic when I didn't win the season. That's at least 6 seasons worth of time for no useful rewards. Basically, an entire month of real time worth of rotating players every hour without a reward.

    The more I think out loud about this game, the more I wonder why I ever played it at all. I doubt I'll start playing again without really major increases in the rewards.

      For my 2 cents, I'd rather not wait 4-5 hours to get into a "competitive" season. I'd rather matchmaking stay how it is.

      That being said, I haven't won a season since early December. I just really don't see this game as competitive, when we don't even really know how the games are decided.. so I really don't care if I am in a season where everyone is the exact same, or if there is a clear outlier. To me, you can tell if you're gonna win a season on the first day anyway. Unless somebody drafts something game-changing (and given drop rates, that almost never happens anyway), it's always pretty much the same.

      If there were more of a truly competitive nature to the season games, ex. we actually KNOW the parameters of games, or we know what our opponent is playing (though that would make it too interactive.. which would necessitate slowing down season.. a no-no as far as I'm concerned), if that were the case, then yeah, I'd be all for having completely even competitors. But as it is, I don't fell it's worth the trouble.

      What I DO think really needs to be changed is this: Eliminate the illusion of time passing in season games. For some reason we have to sit through 30 minutes of absolutely nothing happening, with the score updating every 7:30, as if something is actually happening. It isn't. Once a game starts, any changes don't take effect until the next game.. so why bother wasting 30 minutes for every single game? It just makes every season last twice as long as it needs to. I don't think players need an hour to prepare for every game in a season (especially not with the last half hour being some weird, phony suspense building exercise). I don't think most players care about every game in their season. They care to keep their teams up enough to make playoffs, and if they care so much about record, they'll buy the Team Manager.

      As for season prizes, I think they're generally OK. 1st Round exits getting a good prize makes sense, 2nd round's prize maybe being worse than that makes sense too, as long as 3rd round, and finals loss are worth chasing. I don't think they are currently, and as the game works now, you know if you're gonna win or not (generally speaking), so there's nothing motivating continuation of a season past 1st round of playoffs, unless you know you're gonna win the whole thing.

      I understand most players probably haven't thought enough about the game to come to that conclusion, so it may not really matter anyway.

      Lastly.. why all the secrecy with drop rates? The only people who care enough about them, already know they're pretty terrible, so why not just let them be known?

        They work hard on this game, and they're gonna do things to favor players that spend money. That only makes sense. If you like the game so much that you take time to post on a forum about it, maybe it wouldn't hurt to support the developers.

          Agree 200%! Please don't take this away. I know my iPhone 4S can only handle 100 - 200 picks before it has issues but that's so much better than 2. Its just so much more efficient to draft in bulk at least 50 - 100 at a time. Only the experienced people even know how to store draft picks so its not like the average joe is going to accidentally kill his phone.

          Also I'd rather wait a little longer for the seasons to start if it means more balance. Obviously no one wants to wait for days but I think it's worth waiting 2 - 4 hours rather than wasting 4 days.

          Finally game dad thanks for stopping by and keeping us updated. It really makes a difference to us players to feel included.

              The season matchmaking IMO right now is fine. It does seem more real life as some teams are good and some are bad. I do think the rewards at the end needs to be better. If you win the whole thing I do think you should get a legendary or have a much higher rate at getting one. Basically it would be an Epic Pack would be the reward.

                  I agree new players would be fun. I'm sure there are licensing issues or something, but it would be cool to see some new players in the mix.

                    I'm addicted to this game guys lol. It's weird, but it just happened and I can't stop playing. I finally built up a strong enough squad to take into a season and try to get some of these rewards! It's tough waiting for a legendary or epic so I'm going to try and win one through my season. Hopefully I can go into next season with an epic or legendary. Right now I have:

                            Question for nwgamedad or anyone who wants to chime in: At the rare pro/epic level it seems that we wind up at a final number pretty reliably for stats. For instance a properly maxed Jason Kidd will have 304 bc and 276 mg. But does this breakdown for higher epic pros and legendary? One of my friends has a max pro Maurice cheeks that played against another cheeks that had something like 1 higher defense and 2 higher bc. He definitely maxed both cards and combined, and with like 350-480 for each stat, 3 total points is too small IMO to be an actual error in combining. There were no effects used. When the numbers get big does it actually now matter how we train out players? I've seen similar things with say like tiny differences (1-3 pts) for stats on say the 91 Jordan non pro.

                              well, you can see things from that point of view...
                              ...or you can try to think what could happen if they use a better matchmaking.
                              -> users who don't spend money on these games will probably not spend money on this one or, at most, they will spend something for a single epic pack to "see their luck" or "support the developers", as you said.
                              -> so i guess they get the greatest part of their money with users accustomed to spend in these apps and especially on this app. if these users win seasons easily, getting epics from their easy win could have the effect of fulfill them and they may decide to not spend anymore.
                              -> if you put these users in seasons with players like them, they won't win easily, so they will probably manage to improve even more their team to start winning again.
                              -> at the same time, if you match people with low ratings, they will have more chance to win and improve their team with epics and they may be encouraged to try to improve their team with a legendary player, using epic packs. in this way you can create another "basis" of players accustomed to spend.

                              well, maybe i'm wrong, but who knows...


                              about me...

                              1) i wouldn't spend 20 $ for a mobile app and i wouldn't spend 20$ for a virtual card.

                              2) to me the best part of the game is building your team step by step and hoping to find the card you want and speeding up things by paying would just bring me faster to the moment i will say "ok, i'm tired of this stuff"

                              3) if the epic pack cost less, i'd probably take one (not more) just to support the developers. but i'm happy about the cost of epic packs cause if their cost was 5$ a lot of users would have made this game unplayable. anyway, sooner or later, i'll probably buy some team packs with the only aim of supporting the developers with an amount of money that i consider fair for a mobile app.

                                Come on now Josh....
                                Youre calling players with unbought rosters "bad teams".
                                Plus you want better rewards for your set-in-stone season wins to get even further ahead with your already bought team.
                                This matchmaking is not gonna change and its makes alotta sense if they want to make money for their work, thats fine.
                                And youre a good guy, got nothing against you, but what you said is pure bull**** cause its completely against the rest of the 99% community.
