If Melo REALLY wants to win, and is REALLY willing to take less money, Chicago is clearly the answer.

Rose/Butler/Melo/Gibson/Noah is a championship starting 5, and a lineup like that would attract free agents to play for the vet minimum just to back them up, and get a real shot at beating Miami (which I'm sure is motivation for a LOT of players).

This only works if Melo is willing to play for less than the max. If he wants max money, then Taj is out of there, but even that would still be very fearsome (though that puts more pressure on Rose to still be that guy).

Just caught up to you guys and DAMN that was a lot of reading lol. I'm just as excited about the improved rewards as everyone else on here. Only thing that kinda bugs me out though is the hot streaks situation. Being able to stack them was an advantage against the big $ spenders. I think being able to stash them was a good way to deceive anyone who didn't want to contribute as much time and close the gap(or advance tremendously) by throwing more money on the table. I know NWGD explained that limiting hot streaks to only 3 at a time would keep the standings honest, but imo that's like limiting how many energy cards you can hold during the season/playoffs in order to keep the standings honest. I hope I'm seeing this all wrong, because this event will be very discouraging if it ends up looking more like a 5-day auction, than a straight forward grind out.

I hope I'm seeing this all wrong, because this event will be very discouraging if it ends up looking more like a 5-day auction, than a straight forward grind out.

I dont see how the number of your points from the last game will be beaten though. Most of the "hardcore" players are already on this forum. So it will be similar except for all the people that dont want to do it again.
Oh and i got a little more time on my hands and will actually get competetive this time

No you got it pretty good. 2 players with over 9000 picks compared to your 5000

I am already 3rd for least luck on getting epics. I can easily make 1st with the next rivals event!

What makes you think rose will return to anything more than a mid level all star? Gis biggest advantage was his crazy quickness and athleticism. Well now he got 2 knee injuries in consecutive years and he even took EXTRA time returning from the first one. I love rose (except when he hit yhat game winning floater against the knicks early in the season) and hope he comes back strong but i wouldnt bet my money on it. But yeah if rose returns to old rose than the bulls would be perfect team for melo to thrive in.

False on all counts. Knicks melo is not denver melo. And dont worry about melo going to the heat hes not that type of guy. I wouldnt play team ball either if i had melos supporting cast.

I can't tell. Look at the stats of his team mates. Melo can easily drive to the hole and kick out to someone that's open, because he draws multiple defenders. But does he NO. He'll rather try to force up shots and get mad at the refs when he doesn't get a call. And that's just one example. This is not Syracuse, one man can't win a Championship. LeBron nose is fine just broken, he'll still average 27/7/7 with a broken nose. MVP (And by the way they wear something called HELMETS in the NFL)

Its a damn nose!! He didnt tore his acl. I have broken my nose twice playing basketball took 5min break to stop the bleeding and got back in the game hit a game winning floater the first time. I even had to get surgery. And im never reaching again **** those steals cost me 7,000$.

Havent played ball since the surgery but i think my days of being a pest on the court is over. Gonna polish my jumper and shoot jumpers all the time. Maybe they will invite me to join the knicks since all they do is shoot jumpers

Can our players even hit an open jumper? Felton misses all the shots, i would rather jr shoot contested jumpers than open ones he is weird, prigioni takes 10 seconds to shoot, shumpert shoots 37.7% for the season.

When you don't try to get them involve of course they will and remain inconsistent. (Nobody flops in the NFL) bad analogy. You and Skip Bayless from the same family tree. Just except that the Knicks are done this year and think positive to the future. I hope he leaves the Knicks so ya'll can get better. Ya'll used to be something when ya'll had team players.

Actually, Kevin Durant is making a very strong case for MVP this year. Unless Durant suddenly starts playing terrible/get injured for the rest of the year, I will be very surprised if he doesn't win MVP.

No one is comparing lebron to melo because he is superior at every aspect (except jumpshot) of the game. His flop game is one of the best in league history.
