Can anyone explain what the hell combining cards does and how to do it? Also what this talk about rivals is? New to myteam mobile and so confused

When the changes to power fowards and center's stats go live, will it be an ios or android update, will we see an in-game notification, or is it all just random when it happens?

It's done on the server side, so all platforms will get it at the same time. One of our engineers is pushing it from home today, so not sure when he is doing it. There will be no notification in game, but it should coincide with when you see the new Rivals Clash cards in the Card Catalog.

LeBron is guarded by the other teams best defenders as well. That's not an excuse. KD gets tripled team and he still able to get to the rim. You should try out you'll make the team. The Knicks front office is in desperation mode. They don't know what their future is going to look like. Maybe if the Knicks front office had a clear plan and vision they could bring in people like ray, battier, chalmers, etc.) But people to not want to play with Melo and if they did how come the Knicks haven't been able to sign a big time player to play next to Melo? Melo is a scorer, but he has to make an effort to get his team involved early. Not coming out taking 10-12 shots in the first quarter.

If your argument is that Carmelo isn't as good as Lebron.. you're not gonna get an argument from anybody.

KD just learned how to pass, and he's much better for it.. but he's also 6'11", with extra long arms, and shooters at every spot on the floor. Melo has none of that.

And yeah... People would love to play with Melo. The Knicks have all their money tied up in Amare/Bargnani/Melo, and only one of them is productive.

U go to the garden against any scrub team and even if its a blowout either way almost every1 stays till the clock hits 0.

I'm not a fan of any team. I'm from NY, born in '84. My first basketball memories are watching Jordan **** on the Knicks. So... I'm not a Knicks fan (lucky for me). The Bulls are probably my favorite team, from watching Jordan as a kid, and I do enjoy their current team a lot. They're probably my favorite team now (I love Thibodeau, Noah and Gibson's attitude/style of play, and Deng, though he's gone now), but I'm definitely not invested enough to call myself a fan.

I just love basketball, and I think it's a lot more fun to just love the game without the bias and eternal heartbreak of fandom.

EDIT- OK, I'll leave the real NBA talk alone for now. Can't realistically say I won't talk about basketball here again.

Nope never played. Worked since 16. I agree it sounds ludicrous but whatever maybe i am delusional after watching felton too much.

I played vs people div 1 and 2 and i perfectly know the level of skill it takes.
One of my buddies from high school actually went oversees and got a contract in poland. Dude has sick passing skills (half of them r flashy) and court vision but pretty bad jump shot.

I totally feel you on measuring your skill sets in comparison to people you actually play ball with. Obviously makes sense. I'm not doubting you at all, cuz we've never played and I do believe there's a lot of undiscovered talent out there for all types of things. Sports included. Throughout HS though, I played varsity all 4 years and thought the same about myself for the first 2 lol. The varsity team captain was my best friend and coincidentally, also my neighbor, so we practiced/trained together all the time. His name was Raja Boykins. One summer, his cousin came down to visit and play at a local park gym with us for a couple of hours. Turned out his cousin was Earl Boykins, who was playing for Michigan and later for the Nets(or Cavs? I'm not 100% sure and too lazy to look it up right now). He had a great jumper, explosive and could lock you up at the perimeter. Some people we invited out to the gym(from all over LA) could jump higher, run faster, had magnet hands for handles and could shoot off the dribble better than Earl. But Earl could read the floor faster than anyone else there. He harassed you as soon as you touched the ball and made it impossible for you to get to your favorite spots on the court. It literally felt like you had to fight for every inch of movement lol.

If I remember correctly, on the summer, we played at a gym in Venice. It was Raja's friend that invited us out there. His friend was Baron Davis, who was playing for UCLA at the time, later drafted by Charlotte. Raja knew him when he was attending/playing for a HS in Santa Monica. He wasn't as keen on surveying the floor as Earl, but was everything you just mentioned as far as skill set. Before I take up more space on this post than I already have lol, put it this way: he MURDERED everyone in that gym while still wearing his backpack haha.

Anyhow, the point I was trying to make by probably over explaining(lol) is that it takes much more than gauging talent on a street ball level. Organized basketball is a totally different world. Sorry for ranting btw...

When you have two of the same card you are able to combine them together to create a "Pro" version of that card. The Pro version immediately raises the stats and allows you to level it up again. However, the base stats for the Pro card is based on the level of the 2 cards you combined at the time. That means to make the best possible Pro card you need to level up BOTH cards to maximum BEFORE combining them. Typically Pro cards are better than a solo card of the next rarity up.


Rivals Clash is a tournament game mode that appears every other week. You select one of the 2 Rivals teams for the week and you score points as you play. The points result in your receiving a rank on the leaderboard and you win extra prizes based on your rank. Tomorrow morning the next Rivals Clash event will start with the Pre-Game where you'll be able to read the rules and see which two teams are playing in the event (Spurs and Rockets this time).

That's a great question that I'm surprised hasn't been asked yet.

I'd guess yes, since they already went through the trouble of creating it.
