re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Just sayin. Sorry you got burned out. But if thats your only concern, and you saw Rivals and said "hey, one time thing, won't ever improve ever"... thats just bad foresight.Moo.

re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
The Knicks aren't gonna make the playoffs.
I think Melo is gone too. I feel like the thinking around the league, and inside the Knicks organization is that, even with the season going as horribly as it is, they're still a team that's good enough to make a late season push through the garbage Eastern Conference, grab a playoff spot, and as long as it isn't the 7th or 8th seed, make a run out of the first round.
I'm pretty sure Melo believes that too, and is a large reason why he's been publicly affirming his loyalty to the team (that, and he remembers being hated in Denver, in his last year there).
I think once reality sets in that the Knicks might just miss the playoffs, Melo's gonna come to the realization that the organization is hopeless, and he's gonna leave. Even watching the game last night... even the Magic have a better core of young players than the Knicks. Could you imagine how good Orlando would be with Oladipo, Afflalo, Melo, Harris and Vucevic out there starting? The Knicks supporting cast pales in comparison.
If he doesn't realize the Knicks lose eternal, he's an idiot.. Or he is willing to trade his legacy and happiness on the court for $30M (and believe me, I wouldn't judge him for that at all!). There's no reason whatsoever that he should believe in the Knicks.
If Melo takes LESS money, to stay in NY so the organization has cap room to build around him, well then he's just an idiot. I'd never give James Dolan money out of my pocket, for him to make decisions with.
If he believes the Knicks are gonna make the right moves come 2015, when they do have cap room... again, he's an idiot. Kevin Love isn't gonna come to NY. Watch Stat have a good April next year, and Dolan will sign him to another max deal.
I'm so glad I'm not a Knicks fan. Life's gotta be so rough is you observe this ****, and have to cry, instead of being able to laugh your *** off.Comment

I wouldn't hate Melo if he left, I hope he gets a ring, just don't go to heat lol. Dolan is the worst owner ever.
Amare's contract is up after next year so it's so much tougher to get people in. Where would Melo go?

We (The Heat) do not want Melo. He doesn't know how to play TEAM basketball. He'll never win a ring playing like that. He'll sink the Heat organization just like he did the Knicks.2k app name: H2H3

I agree with u that melo would be wise to leave the knicks in the summer. Yeah it would hurt us losing him but it wouldnt be the end of the world. He is a 2nd option on a championship team at best and is only getting older so signing him to a max deal to be your #1 would stupid. Basically we r doomed unless lebron grows a set and comes here in 2015. But the chance of that happening is like pulling a legendary card with 5 picks.
And trust me bro i have stopped crying and being upset watching the knicks months ago. When i watch now i just laugh because its the same old sh*t every game. I can accurately tell plays r going to be run in situations but thas not hard they only run like 3 plays. I see random strangers in the park that run more plays than the knicks.Comment

re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
The one year Melo actually had a TEAM around him, and a great coach, he won a National Championship at Syracuse.
Since then, he's played with scrubs and/or terrible coaches his entire career. The best teammate he ever had was a declining Chauncey Billups... and they made it to the Western Conference Finals with that.
People expect him to play "team ball" without a team around him. It's ridiculous.
People said the same thing about Kobe, when he was putting up stupid numbers playing with Kwame Brown and Smush Parker. "He's selfish", "he doesn't make his teammates better"... It's foolish. Kobe shot so much then because there was nobody reliable to pass to. Just like Melo now. A contested Melo shot, in a Mike Woodson offense (remember ISO Joe?), with Raymond Felton running the point, and a ruined I man Shumpert on the wing, is far too often the best shot the Knicks can produce in 24 seconds.
That's not Melo's fault. At all. He's not the point guard. He's not the coach. He's not the GM.
Basketball fans today are spoiled by Lebron. They think every star is supposed to be this crazy mix of Michael, Moses and Magic or they're garbage. If they don't have the greatest combination of speed, strength, size and court vision the game has ever seen, then they're worthless. It's stupid.
Some players make their teammates better, like Magic and Lebron. Others make their teammates better by setting the example, and raising the stakes. That's Jordan. That's Kobe. That's Melo. That model has already proven to be a winner. It just needs complimentary pieces. Smush Parker, Ray Felton, Kwame Brown, and JR Brick aren't those pieces.
None of us would even be having this conversation if Joe Dumars dumb *** had just picked Melo instead of Darko. Melo would have won a ring in his second year, and been part of a winning culture early. Instead we have people questioning him, even though he's clearly a Hall of Fame talent, playing the prime of his career with an inept organization.Last edited by TizOnly1; 02-22-2014, 01:35 PM.Comment
