Playing naive after being banned isn't an excuse and you make is seem like "appealing" is a given. I think in the history of the site there has maybe been 3 people that have appealed their ban and been allowed back.

And I can assure you it's never been users that have been here for less than 4 months and can't follow the rules in that small time frame.


I promise you, even had any of your buddies appealed the right way, they would not have been allowed back. You don't just join in January, get banned and then get allowed back.

Okay, that's good to know. I guess I'm aiming for top 25 this time around. Top 10 was just insane last time. Took way too much out of me and I expect it to be a lot worse this time around.

I cant be curious? ive noticed two or three banned people today alone, made me wonder how many people were banned before. No need to get upset its a legit question

Back from my trip and can type out a longer response to all the Season comments...


1. I have said this before, but if you're encountering very long Season start times, please send us an in game Feedback message. We need to look at your deck and figure out why it is taking so long.


2. The Seasons with bots are mainly ones with higher end decks in them. This forum is biased with a lot of avid players that have very good decks. Hence why you guys encounter more of the bots than normal. We had to make a choice between continuing to add "trucks" to a Season in order to matchmake everyone, or to take the high end folks and stick them with bots to give the other players a chance to be in competitive Seasons. It's not a great option, but until we have enough players in the high end to match make every few hours with comparable people it was the less problematic solution. I hear the feedback though, and when I go in Monday we will be looking at the data to see whether it is resulting in better matches or not. If not, we will flip back to the old system and hit the drawing board again.


3. Season rewards - Before we touch Season rewards we wanted to get matchmaking improved. Touching a lot of things in a system like this will not give us the right understanding of why it improved, or not. We have discussed ways to improve the Season rewards that will work for low end and high end decks. Until we get matchmaking the way we like though, we're not going to implement the solutions. It is definitely high on our list of things to do for an update. It will not be in the next update we release though. That update is focused on other improvements (and if you own the console game you'll be really happy).


4. Keep in mind when Seasons show players with much lower stats, it is quite possible they are attempting to game the matchmaker. The last guy that posted an opponent with 300-500 per stat just screams, "I'll beat the matchmaker by putting all Commons," while the guy has Rare+ cards in his Collection. That doesn't mean the matchmaker is failing, it simply means it is working to prevent this type of gaming the system. The other part in "trucks" appearing in your Season still is probably related to players acquiring good cards after their Season has started and subbing them in. A completely valid strategy, and why we allow Sub Ins to begin with. If someone drafts or purchases a new card that is better, it is in their best interest to sub it in and improve their Season. Finally, training can have the same effect in increasing their numbers. Although the matchmaker does take into account the training potential of good cards, when someone does train you will see their numbers jump in a Season for "no good reason". There is a good reason, they trained.


5. 1st Round Playoff Reward - It is still set at a Pro card. If you get different rewards please snap a screenshot and post it in the bug forum please. We have discussed changing this reward, you should always be getting the best reward in a Season from winning, but we were planning on changing it when we do the Season reward overhaul mentioned above.


I hope this helps with any of your recent Season questions. If you're wondering how Seasons work check the FAQ, I answered that there and like 1000 pages ago in this thread.

NWGameDad, can I ask why the season matchmaking takes the ENTIRE collection into account (if I am understanding things correctly based on your explanation, it never mattered too much more but with bots filling in it is starting to). Basically, is there any reason players are penalized for having collections? For having epics laying around at level 25 that are raising their ratings even though they would never get played during the season? Is there any reason we can't have our matchmaking ranking determined by say the top 15 or 20 cards in our collection instead of the total of our whole collection? If you take the top 15/20 that should eliminate still the "gaming" the system with putting lower cards in to start, but still let players continue to collect at least epics so we can hope to make an epic pro.

Also is there any feedback about some of the seasons where the bots aren't recording losses they get? Seen several screenshots of people winning but the bot's record showed a win for them too, leading to bizarre seasons with more wins than losses as a whole.

Where did I say you couldn't be curious? As it isn't relevant to anything you should have just PM'ed me if you were really curious rather than post it in this thread.

I assure you, no one that was banned today was someone that hadn't been previously banned. No one in this thread has been banned for a couple weeks now.

I'm going for bulls top 50, how do you guys get 7500 points without buying hot streaks lol, the most I've done in a day without hot streaks is like 4500 points.
