I've seen this discussed but couldn't find a clear answer. Does starting lineup affect games or no? I have a stacked starting five but my bench isn't so deep so some of my games show the other team having higher ratings overall but lose somehow.

I think at this point the only saving grace would be introducing a new tier of a card. In the PS4 myteam they have the regular gold/silver/bronze from playing normally and packs, then they have Sapphire/Diamond cards which can only be won from special events or elite rewards.

If they can introduce a higher tier where it's slightly upgraded stats of legendary cards, and are extremely hard to get.. then people will continue to play the game and have something to chase. It'd even help their business by making people want to buy packs to strengthen their deck so they have a chance at winning one of these cards.

Summary to save the game:

• Introduce a higher tier of cards that are slightly upgraded versions of Legendaries, which are extremely hard to achieve and can't be purchased.
• Lower the drop rate of legendaries from epic packs, or remove them from epic packs.
• Let users somehow earn credits by legitimately playing the game.

Good points and even if u get one credit for every quick game win and 100 for a finals it would be nice

It was posted by a developer that starting lineup does matter more than bench although in what specific way or how much he didn't say. But yeah we can assume that a stacked starting lineup and a weaker bench will win if values are equal or even behind in total stats I think. There is some luck too depending what categories come up (from what he said season mode games are sort of played like a simulated quick game). I'll see if I can dig up the actual post.

Yea, that would be nice. I don't know if anyone on here has tried it but in the Fifa 14 Ultimate Team app, you get coins by playing games. It doesn't matter if you win or lose, you'll still get some coins which you can save up and buy packs with. So getting credits for winning quick games or the finals in this game would be awesome.

I wish you could trade. To make it where someone couldnt have 2 accounts and trade like epics for commons you could have it where you could only trade the same type of card. Rare for rare/Epic for epic. That way you can get rid of unneeded dupes.

Crazy thing just happened. I don't know if it's happened to anyone before.
I was down 2-1 in the semifinal series and trailing 61-66 at the end of the third quarter. Obviously at this point I was desperate to do something because going down 3-1 in the series would pretty much have ended my season.
Anyways, I quickly trained by level 8 Andrew Bogut to level 15 while the fourth quarter was playing out. He increased in like +9 O, +20 D, +6 BC, and +19 MG. And then miraculously I outscored the other guy 42-18 in the fourth quarter and won the game 103-84! I was actually kinda shocked because I didn't know that you could actually outscore an opponent by that wide of a margin in a single quarter. I was always under the impression that once you had a 15-18 point lead heading into the fourth quarter that the game was pretty much over.
I won game 5 and then later on in game 6, I was winning 96-78 after 3 quarters but I didn't feel as confident as I normally am with that big of a lead heading into the final quarter because I now know that there's a possibility that you could potentially get outscored by 24 points in the final quarter. However I did end up winning the game and now I'm off to the finals.

I have no idea if increasing Bogut's stats during the fourth helped in anyway. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Thanks in advance!

Increasing stats or energy once the playoff game begins doesn't change the outcome. You can see the outcome of other games the moment they start in the playoff bracket, meaning the game is predetermined at start.
