Read again, I wasn't putting the blame on funzo.
And sure, if the guy fighting for the last place on the tier doesn't stop it has to be a pain in the butt —that's what happened to ecovyoudug. But the fact here is that #51 stopped a couple hours from the end and people didn't shut the door to the tier.

And again, I'm not talking about the moment when the network issues started, I'm talking about what happened way before that. When the servers crashed it was clearly just luck, if you could get in you would get points.

with 2 hours left I had a 600 point lead on number 50th, but 51th was hot streaking. He was twice as fast as us. So i took about a 45 minute break to come back and see that he's within 100 points. So I played, hot streaking, and I play kinda fast without hot streaking, 400 pts per hour. So i was doing double of that. And he was only like 1 second slower than me. It's not all about you. Just cause you finished at top 10, doesn't mean its all about you.

how many hours you put in a day? I averaged about 500 games a day... I'm hoping next event will not be as tough so that I can try to hit top 50 without using HS.

I put in work lol I played like 9 to 13 hours and I won like 700 to 1100 games a day while averaging 350 to 450 points an hourso got like 3.5k to 4.75k a day lol I finished with 27436 point so some days I did better than others

I think I noticed a little lag from 9:30 EST to 10pm, but for the most part it was business as usual securing my spot. Maybe some peeps here are exaggerating they couldn't get in to the app? I still racked up probably 375 points the last hour of Rivals playing semi-casually

I highly doubt someone who put themselves in a position around 90th ALL WEEK would fall out of the top 125 in the last 20 minutes of the event.

I don't think it is that exaggerated. I think people had varying levels of whether they were getting through. Maybe based on what server their load balanced was trying to direct you to. It looked like at least a few were pretty hosed. And that was my original argument to nwgamedad about it not actually being fair/level playing field. There was a chance anybody could have issues but some people were getting worse of it than others.

Yea sounds like some people here got shafted. Seems like extremely varying ends of the spectrum based on what i'm catching up reading, were you one of the lucky ones who only experienced minor lag?

Yea sounds like some people here got shafted. Seems like extremely varying ends of the spectrum based on what i'm catching up reading, were you one of the lucky ones who only experienced minor lag?

I didn't have too much lag but I was only lazily playing the last hour or two. I had a decent buffer so I could afford it but I am aware of the possibility if I didn't which is why I have been pushing about the uneveniness people experienced.

6-7 hours a day?? No way. It takes 2 hours playing really fast just to get 1000 points. 6-7 hours is about 3500 points a day. So, from Tuesday from Friday, you only get 14,000, then you played 11 hours on Saturday which is about 5,500.
So that's only 19,000 total from Tuesday to Saturday. Now, lets say you played 11 hours again on Sunday, that's an extra 5,500 points, which puts you at about 25,000 points total for the event. Sagg placed to spots below me at number 50, he had over 27,000 points and barely made it in. You had to grind at least 8-9 hours a day, then about 11 hours on weekends just to barely make top 50.
To add more, you didn't hot streak right?? Which means you lost a lot of sleep, and put many hours into this.

I think my pace was better than 500 points an hour. Used a 3 Epic Pro/2 common lineup with one of my commons slightly better than the bottom tier commons to combat those that also do the 3/2. I also instantly backed out once I thought I was going to lose (usually after the 2nd quarter) instead of playing it out. Only was keeping ~45 players in my deck so I don't have to train that often. And other than that, I just tapped really fast, often trying to click on one of my cards before even knowing what the round was for assuming it would beat any rare pro out there.

But with that, you're right on the last part. I lost some sleep and did put many hours into this.

So here are the final stats for my rivals event,I took photo every time I drafted rare,epic etc not to lose track.
3269-291 6538 picks
84 rares. 77 picks per rare avg.
7 epics - Garnett , Hawkins ,shumpert (pro now) , Nash , cooper , Bledsoe , D.lee - 934 picks per epic
1 legendary - Magic Johnson -my 1st drafted at pick 30,808 overall.
1 rivals Jordan - 40+ grueling hours
Pretty happy if that epic rate continues for me - won't happen lol

The first even i havent drafted a single one, the second i got like 4 or 5 and this event i got 2
I have played sth like 5k games this event though, so that seems really unlucky.

The thing is you are arguing a fundamentally different thing than most of the other people. You are basically attacking them for being in a position to be passed. Most of them are saying they wish they didn't have server issues at the end. One you could say leads to having to deal with the other, but they are fundamentally different issues you don't seem willing to acknowledge. You are "right" in that yes that individual could have probably avoided their fate, but I also think it's not fair that some people fundamentally got the short end of the stick server wise at the end. If the servers just died for everyone I wouldn't have an issue as much but the fact that there is was an uneven playing field at the end is an issue possibly down the line. If the specific people who got screwed had tried harder earlier you'd just see different names. I'm done with this conversation I think anyway since I don't think we are convincing each other about anything. You are saying the specific players could have played harder earlier and secured their spot which is probably true and I agree, but I am arguing about those server issues that cropped up 15 minutes to 2 hours before in varying amounts and created an uneven playing field based on chance of what server you got.
