Re: MyNBA2K16 Dev Diary 1
It's highly depending on drop rates and the amount of cards etc. but if I transfer those "improvements" to the current game, I would say it is a cash grab similar to Greece (sorry Apos)
Contracts which you only get in packs - if you use the free ones enjoy grinding, as you need 6 similar cards.
Regular cards are only
good for one Stat - wow.
Foil ones will be hard to acquire - and we all know the definition -> $, € and £.
Foil cards will have random stats - this could be funny. Depending on the stats. I expect the worst :P
So far:
We thought 800 Euro for a Michael Jordan card is the end? Actually is just the beginning.

- Nah. It won't. A foil is the same card as it's basic counterpart with a cooler look and more specializations. If you want to Pro a foil, you can use basic cards in the contract of the same player. The card will come out as a foil then.
- If you're referring to guaranteed pull numbers, they may be the same or shorter depending on internal play-testing of the Pro'ing system overall. That is ongoing ATM.
- They will be rare. Still play-testing.

Re: MyNBA2K16 Dev Diary 1
this looks like CDs way of
1. making progression slower, as you need more of the same card to pro it (as well as a contract card)
2. making AH healthy, as demand for cards will be more.
3. encouraging players to keep the special 'foil' cards
4. encourage players to buy contract cards to ensure the most powerful version of it
that's my initial thoughts so far.
I like this so far, personally. It really depends on how expensive contract packs are.Comment

Re: MyNBA2K16 Dev Diary 1
I don't really blame CD for making this game cost a lot of money if you want to be at the top. People still bought the Jordan POTG pack (twice), i'm sure people have bought the Warriors RTTC pack, people have bought RTTC Iggys at high BID/BIN amounts and many greats packs...
We all complain because it's not catered to the free player, but we adapt. Hopefully...this new version won't be a nightmare to adapt to, but we shall see. It might end up solving some problems (while probably creating new ones) that we had in this year's game
Hopefully most importantly though:
We won't end up with 500 versions of Steph Curry.IGN: MrDavison

brad:
will a pro from a rookie contract be the same strength as a pro from a star contract? the only difference between contracts is the number of cards it takes to pro?IGN for My2k17: vince217

Re: MyNBA2K16 Dev Diary 1
A contract only effects the number of cards you need to make a Pro. For example, a Pro created from a Rookie contract is identical to one made with a Star contract.Comment
