I actually have am HD 7850 looking to go 7950 next I guess. Not sure if my mobo handles the RX series or not.

You mobo should be fine, check your power supply though. That would most likely be a bigger factor. When are you planning on upgrading?

Yeah that'll have to be upgraded too. I think its a 650 or 700w

Not sure exactly, as soon as I get the dough Ill do it. Hopefully early next year.

Using an i5 4670 and R9 280x and it runs very well on max settings. Although probably going to upgrade the 280x soon but for now, it's fine.

Not really necessary at all. A quality 550w will be fine for that type of GPU so if you have higher, leave it unless it's of really poor quality.

Okay cool, was gonna say it'd be better to wait if you're for sure gonna stick with AMD. If you were gonna upgrade before the year was out and brand didn't matter I would have said go for the 970. Your PSU should be fine too so you might not have to spend money on that.

Game works very well on Radeon 7850 1gb. Even with just 1gb vram its quite powerful gpu still.

Only texture quality on medium (see no difference from high) and rest are high/on/msaa4x.

What I have runs 2k just fine on high I just want more power and yeah I think ill sick with and for now.

I've had no issues honestly. I don't know what I'll buy in the future but I want to be future proofed

I have a good standard PSU so it's worked well. I just wanted to use the PC for working surfing and a little gaming not so much make it my home media hub so initially I wasn't looking to rock out

The game runs silky smooth in 4k with 970 sli.

I've tried everything, run as admin, priority in task manager, settings in nvidia control pannel, and everything failed for me. The only way I can get steady 30FPS in game is notching down shader level to low, and setting crowd to medium (with everything else at high settings).

At this point I don't know, if my expectations are to high for my laptop, or the fact that I'm playing on laptop is the problem? Let me know if I'm delusional about my computer, and I shouldn't be able to run it with medium/high details... With the shader level on low the glitch with hair is still present, and it's frustrating as hell.

                      My specs:
                      Lenovo y580
                      2.3-3.2GHz Intel Core i7-3610QM
4 GB DDR3 PC3-12800 (maybe low RAM is the problem?)
                      GeForce GTX 660M 2GB VRAM

Sorry man but you can't expect to have much success with a next gen console port on anything but very high end mobile hardware. Eg. Gtx780m at a minimum. It will be a few years before laptops catch up to these new consoles I think. I have a 2011 dell xps with a 555m and I stick purely to 360/PS3 ports as stuff like watch dogs or black flag run like absolute dog poop.

2K14 should run at a locked 60 for you though.

It all depends on what you're willing to settle for. If you want high settings then yeah, only high end mobile cards will do. I'm using a piddly 840m though, and am getting a steady 60 on medium settings. I'm not much of a graphics hound so I'm pretty happy with it, though it is a bit disappointing that running 2k14 on the same machine looks much better minus the player faces.

Agree that setting shader detail to low looks super ugly. I don't know about you, but the special effects delivers a greater hit to my framerate than shader detail. By turning special effects off (really wish it was split up into different categories we could toggle, sucks not having reflections) and turning crowd down I can handle shader detail just fine.

As stated I'm using an 840m, weaker than what you have but maybe the newer models can handle shaders better? I'm just spitballing, I really don't know all that much about PC gaming :P

                            Re: Your GPUs?

Thank You both for the information, I'm content with setting all on high, except shader level to low (in my opinion disabling special effects is much more visible during gameplay, there is no lightning, shadowing etc. and the impact on my FPS from both settings is the same). Only drawback I've seen is the fact that the hair glitch is still present on the low settings, do You know if there's possible workaround for this? It's not that annoying, but this is one of the small things, that take away from the experience...

BTW. I was aware that my laptop might be one day outdated, so I've taken the laptop with resolution 1366X768, and not Full HD option to postpone those kind of situations...

Hi I have problems playing NBA2K15 Exibitions games.

                              My specs:
                              i5 760 @ 2.80 GhZ
                              RAM 4.00 GB
                              AMD Radeon HD 5700 - GDDR5 1 GB

The game slow down when the ball is in the paint.
Also with all the details at min and with a low resolutions. Nothing change.
                              The game is update.

                              BUT
If I play Blacktops 2vs2 or Shooting training with one player, the game goes fluent. No slow down.

                              Could you please help me?
                              Thanks!
