HOLY CRAP!! They ripped them a new one within the first 100 words. I'm laughing hard cause it's the worst review I've ever read for a game basically. Words can't describe what that 5.9 says to me. I'm totally shocked too cause it's IGN!!, the undercover EA site!! OH MY GOODNESS!! I definitely want to try this game out now to see how bad IGN was smoking or if EA just made those dumb moves and made the game that horrible.

in the end trading gameplay for graphics works about as well as trading Shaq to keep Kobe, it's just not a smart decision.

Live & yet not....

Forget Live 360, this is more like Live 180.

There are even spots where, after a foul, the camera zooms in on a player to show how much he's dripping sweat, and the camera will get lost, showing players bumping into each other, walking into the basket support, or losing them altogether.

Those are some interesting things on the real. This review is lacking, but it's definitely funny.

Now this one was truly classic.

There are leaderboards, lobbies, and chat, but that's about it. But what did you expect? There aren't any features in the regular game, so why should online be any different.

Another low blow ROFLMAO!!

And to top it off:

Sure, it looks like a top prospect, then again, so did Kwame Brown and you see how that turned out.

A lot of hate on Kwame Brown, so what's all this about IGN being in EA's payroll, and being biased towards EA games? I guess this disproves it. I didn't think the game deserved anything over a 7 because of the lack of features [even if I didn't actually play them], even if it has good gameplay, you can't have no features and get a high score when your peers have them.

Useless review IMO. I didn't tell me about the things I really need know like the actual gameplay. They only talked about Freestyle superstar being gone and that's why the gameplay suffered. No mention of fast breaks, offensive boards, defense, etc.

9.0 Presentation
Playable loading screen is the highlight of the game. Unfortunately, the game eventually loads.
8.5 Graphics
Amazing player models who drip sweat. It's the closest you can get to watching Jason Kidd take a shower.
9.0 Sound
The crowd comes alive after big plays, and the team of Kerr and Marv call a nice game.
6.0 Gameplay
Think Live 2005 with better player models. The loss of Superstar moves really takes the game back a notch.
3.0 Lasting Appeal
No All-Star Weekend, no Dynasty mode, no Superstar moves, limited online play and gameplay far less appealing than its competitor, NBA 2K6. There's not much here to keep you coming back for more.

You can tell they based a lot of this review off the things that were missing. To me, these thing don't matter much if any at all. I'll hope Gamespot has a better review. If they hammer the game because it plays bad, fine, then I'll know not to pick it up, but inform the readers of the actual things that pertain to the game of BASKETBALL, not just saying it sucks cause ASW is gone or dynasty is gone.

...GAMEPLAY fellas... that's what counts! It's why I was playing Live 2004 and 2005 over the 2k4/2k5 titles!

I really don't care about this ****ty review. I'm going to try the game out myself then I'll judge. I would've actually taken not of that line you underlined, if they had actually talked about the gameplay differences that make 2k6 better than Live 360. There was not one part that said that. So this review is useless to me.

Wow. I'm really actually proud of IGN going after EA sports like this because they are giving the public a half finished game and trying to pass it off as "the next-gen" NBA Live 06. The game is missing so many things that by the time NBA Live 07 comes out they will add back freestyle, franchise, allstar weekend, slam dunk contest, etc.. and try to pass it off as such an improvement over Live 06 when that stuff should have been apart of the game in the first place.
I will download the live demo and if I like it rent the game but buying the game for me is out of the question because with all of the missing features the replay value is near zero.
