Re: It's not that bad
dickdalewood, I see what you mean. It doesn't really detract too much for me though. Oh yeah, I finally got the game fellas. I've only gotten to play 1 full game, but overall, I really, REALLY love the atmosphere in the game. The announcing is great as well in my opinion. Steve Kerr does a great job, as does Marv.
So far, I still haven't fiddled with the camera, and I've played only on default broadcast. I actually don't find it too difficult to play with. There have been occasions where my guys would be led out of bounds by a pass, but that doesn't happen often.
The CAP, however, is VERY deep. It's just as deep as the Smackdown series games. There is only one complaint from me, and that is that it doesn't use numbers, so there is no way to share your CAP's. That, and in the hair selection, they don't have any flat tops or fades. Only a shaved :y4: That's alright though, I remember when Pippen had a shaved head, lol. I've made a Pippen that looks dead on. My Jordan is almost there, and the Rodman looks pretty good. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. Considering I only bought it for the CAP option, I can't say I'm dissappointed.
I feel that with some tweaks, this could be a really good game. Only one question though, how do you get the play diagrams monk? Like in that one picture? Have you made any slider adjustments other than speed?Twitter - WTF_OS

Glad you got it bro and will be very interested in your impressions as time goes by. With a really good set of sliders...I really feel this game will be pretty cool.
Re the play diagrams...when you're playing, go to team management and plays. Simply chose them from there and you'll see the diagrams. It's very cool to watch one play out on the diagram...then run it in the game.
I wish the players moved a bit faster...but at least the plays actually work. I've had Lamar Odom running a point forward led triange offense...really good fun
Sliders...once PM's is on board, we should make a combined set / help him. A the moment, i've mainly put blocks down to 0-10, speed to 100, shooting all at 50 (default 65 for mid range is wayyy too high).Comment

I don't do online games. I just play with buddies and we always have like a little pool on weekends with the winner taking $25-40 during round robin tourney play. It's great if you can get like 3-4 guy's on a friday or saturday that like to play a realistic way.
I quit online play about 2 years ago because of the cheaters or the cheesers.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Re: It's not that bad
I thought I'd put this in here because it seems pretty fair and honest. He also talks about the camera's and which ones help a little. I prefer Press Cam as you all know because it allows me to see most of the court and the plays being executed.
Not every critic is the same. Metacritic offers aggregated game reviews from the top critics, and our own METASCORE pinpoints at a glance how each game was reviewed.
Stunning is the only word I can think of when I see the digital likenesses of stars like Kobe, Shaq, A.I., and Yao Ming on the court via Xbox 360. Okay, maybe stunning isn’t the only word. I can think of a few others as well... like incredible, unbelievable, and flat-out jaw-dropping. Games have come a long way in the past 25 years, but seeing a near-perfect Allen Iverson -- tattoos and all -- on screen in real-time is amazing. The sweat beading down players’ heads, the stadiums so full of life, and the real-time cloth simulation that accompanies their jerseys... all simply mind-boggling. (The only downfall is that when close-ups are shown, the game actually loses framerate and lags a bit during these dead-ball cut-scenes.)
Xbox 360 is sure to get rave reviews for the graphics in the coming months, but I can honestly say that no other basketball game that I’ve played sounds like EA’s NBA Live 06 as well. Aside from the great anthems that play as you do, and the on-the-court sounds that accompany the round ball, the commentators have finally made the leap from annoying to colorful. While they do still suffer from repetition, the announcers do a bang-up job of giving extra tidbits of information about star players, and seem to remember a comment they just made and actually ADD to the comment on an upcoming play. Kudos to the developers for finally getting it started in the right direction!Last edited by Playmakers; 12-17-2005, 07:59 PM.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD
