    Thanks monk!

Haven't messed around with the CAP yet except for the very briefest of looks. There's a lot of depth there...shouldn't be too hard to make most players

Just be patient when you get it Will. Out of the box, it really leaves a lot to be desired. It's probably going to take a while to grow on you...and it's very, very much not NBA 2K6.

If you look at it as a preview of what the 'next gen' holds though...I think you'll find it interesting from that perspective. There's no doubt it feels more 'next gen' than 2K6. The menus, arenas, play calling, subs, sig J's etc all are the types of things I've wanted for ages. Big plus that they're in.

As a 'next gen' game...this feels much better than 2K6.

As a basketball game though, 2K6 is a much better NBA game.

Oh you know me... I'll at least give it a fair shake. Hopefully we can come up w/ some fairly decent sliders for it. And w/ playbooks saveable, then that should help out greatly in seeing a different type of game every game.

Do you feel it's worth $45? That's what I'll be paying for it. As long as it plays a decent game of basketball, that's all I'm asking. The lack of manual replays sort of gets on my nerves, but oh well. I'll give it a shake. If I don't like it, there's always eBay.

I've played it more using Press Cam and to be honest that's the best way to play the game. Use Press Cam then tweak the sliders and you have a very good game. I've spent some borrowed time playing it last week and yesterday and like the current Gen game if you combine these 3 aspects Sliders, Press Cam and Playbooks to your liking this game becomes much better.

I have'nt put in extensive work with those aspects outside of just messing around and playing about 5-6 games but i can tell you those aspects are the keys to getting it to play much better than it does out of the box. The graphics just tops it all off once the first three things are tuned. There's no debate that the game won't carry you beyond a season of play but for that one season you play it'll be a blast. I keep having to use someone else's system so that's a pain in the azz because I can't get extended play out of it right now.

          Re: It's not that bad

Thanks for the insight PM. I used your sliders for current gen Live, but the Superstar moves just killed that game for me. Hopefully you can grab a 360 and work with the sliders more for us.

I went ahead and purchased this game. Should be here by Wednesday of the coming week. After that, I'll be creating guys left and right hopefully. Does anyone know the max for created players?

Should be fun for a little while at least, while giving me a break from my 2K6 Season. 2K6 plays an excellent game of basketball, and is a whole lot of fun... but sometimes you just want to throw in something else for a game or two before moving on, ya know. That's all I'm asking from Live this year.

Will...I'd say it's worth about $30. The fact it's really in the BETA stages makes them charging full price a bit scandalous, buy hey...that's EA

Playmaker is right though...after tweaks, it's getting better and once PM comes on board with his sliders I am hopeful.

Again...the main thing going for it is that it feels next gen. After paying so much for my 360, I'm enjoying the fact it has so many 'new' things / things that give me a glimpse of what to expect in the next few years on this console

              Monk,

Did you have problms with the computer substitutions? When I had the game I found that the computer didnt substitute much even with the fatigue turned high.

You have to set the sub frequency aswell. For instance even if you set fatigue high if the CPU sub frequency is set low they will still wear down their players.

For instance me and some friends are playing head to head right now and we set auto subs in and boosted up sub freq to 60 and the our guy's shuffle in and out on 8 minute qtr's. Actually too frequently if you ask me.

Anyways got to get back to playing but head to head is an absolute blast. Just get like 4 guy's and set up a tournament like we've done it's great to dunk on someone azz feeling a lane in this game on a fastbreak. The crowd goes crazy!

                  Hi Aaron

As playmakers says, you need both fat + frequ adjusted...then it's fine.

Excellent review BTW. You got it pretty much spot on IMO.

After playmakers has some time with this...I think it will be a pretty decent game. However, there's just too much missing / seemingly broken to really recommend it...and EA really needs to get these things right out of the box. NOT rely on people to fix it for them.

I am enjoying it though, despite the flaws.

                    Re: It's not that bad

Just bought the game, I must say that I am dissappointed. I played it before release and thoght it was going to be okay and still do once PM and others figure it out. It's not even the gameplay that is killing me it is the camera. The lagging of the camera on some plays makes it almost impossible to really like this game as much as I want to. I am just wondering what I will feel like when there is 5 seconds left and the score tied and this camera lags and cost me the game, lets be real it could happen.

There are other issues that I have not even addressed, but in a positive light I can rest assured that I feel 07 is gonna be awesome!!

Just my 2 cents PM and others please give me some tips to help me enjoy this game . Thanks fellows

I should be coming up w/ some tips here soon... I just got the game for $37.00 shipped, lol. Not too bad I don't guess.

Hopefully soon it'll be here, and I can get started creating Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, etc. etc. etc.

One question, are legends in the game? Barkley (he's in 2k6)? Etc?

No, there are only current pro teams.

                            Re: It's not that bad

Played a few more games and it's really growing on me. One thing I really like is the way you can swing the ball around the perimeter to find open guys for J's.

This is the first game I can recall where you can (at times )pass it out of the double team...find someone at the top of the key, swing it fast to your shooter in the far right corner and they actually have an open J. Ie, time to get set and take the shot.

Very nice to see a game where the CPU defenders don't miraculously race over there like their turbo charged and get in the shooters face.

The spacing in this game is the best it's been in a LIVE game ever by a long way.

I'd go as far as to say it's the best spacing i've seen in an NBA game. You and the CPU can use the corner pockets and really stretch out the D.

The 'reactionary' side of the AI is good also...if the CPU has a fast break and I take my defenders and plant them under the basket, I've seen CPU players like Cassell and Mobley stop at the top of the key, get set, and take the 3 ball on offer. Nice.

NBA Live360 got it's unfinished Flaws, But the game is heading in the right directions of a Sim, and I'm a NBA 2k6 fan to the heart!! Yes I do play NBA 2k6360 alot more than Live360, But Live360 got some things that NBA 2k6 need to work on and vice or versa!!

The graphics on Live360 sometimes almost look like U are playing a Real game on HDTV!! I mean Wow!! Just imagine what Live07 is gonna be like with everything incorparated in the game!! Just Sick!!

Since I use Dallas man that's my favorite part of this game. I can actually get off sweet looking jumpers with Dirk before a CPU player converges. Also as you mentioned on the fastbreak I've seen guy's like Peja, Redd and Allen just lay back and pull up a sweet looking transistion game three.

It's not a perfect game but after playing it last weekend and this weekend I won't regret spending my money once I get the damn sytem. Some guy's will hate certain things but just give it time and mess around with settings and you'll see some very good things happening. I think EA rushed it but it's still playable and exciting once you get it rolling.
