    Re: IGN's New Interview

This game looks like crap, where are the player emotions, during these dunks...

Player models are all jacked up..."Good Tiiiimmmes". Oh Sorry!!!

Back to the subject, these barely look any different or better than last years game.

And I said the stadiums looked good before. Ok I take that back...2k stadiums look much more detailed and alive than this game. Look at the bland crowds, and the shadowed out upper deck...Even the one picture showing the goal and net, looked horrible....Sorry I don't see much improving.

The who interview talking about revamping AI and blah, blah, blah...Whatever they lying...This isn't look too good to me...

and what is Rip Hamilton doing in this picture, he suppose to be on defense, but it looks like he's doing the funky chicken...

I disagree with you. I love sports updates and to be able to stay up with real life scores while Im playing the game is really nice.

Compared to how previous titles were using the ESPN liscense, EA is the only publisher who is making the most out of it.

I agree, I'm hating the graphics already, but I have to see this in motion.

Screen shots tell us nothing, we need to see gameplay vids before we can even start to make any kind of assumptions.

The thing that worries me most about this year is that in live 06 on ps2/xbox it was so easy to really dominate with any superstar type like scorer or high flyer. The 360 wasn't as bad for that but it was still too easy to dominate with the all stars. In live 2007 one player can be a combo of heaps of different superstar types so it could be even less realistic if they aren't carefull and implement it more effectively.

yup, specifically for example, Shaq's triceps were in credible hulk like.

Thats just insane to leave it as is. Thing is though, the body types did vary, that was the point.

So far these player models do look exactly the same, but im most interested in the gameplay than anything.

Looks like they got the floors right and the arena's from what I saw looked a bit brighter in 2k, but i remember them showing that video clip of the crowd jumping up cheering frmo a camera in the audience. It looked just like a tv shot panning across the arena

I dont give a ****e about any of the ESPN stuff EA is doing.... this is the biggest waste of funds I have ever seen. There is new immersion to these games at all. Why spend the money to buy ESPN from 2k and then not use it in the games. I officially fraking hate EA even more

                  Re: IGN's New Interview

I was actually not referring to 2K series at all. I was referring to this picture: http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360/...4051306240.jpg

Tony Parker and Bruce Bowen's lower leg is seriously distorted. And in the other pictures, you cannot tell if its Vince Carter if he wasn't wearing his jersey.

But if you want to talk about 2K, yeah, 2K's model are too generic as well. The calves are too big for most players not named Yao, and players are too muscular when they shouldn't be (Tayshaun), and Bosh's neck is not long enough, he needs to be like ET damnit.

I think people on both forums are criticizing the games they play themselves because they are hoping some developer will come on here, take notice, and improve/fix things (hopefully by release date for this year). Not everyone is trying to start a war.

I have issues with the player models bodies in Live and have for years, but its time to call it on both ends.

In this case in particular, Vince looks like someone else, and tony parkers tricep is flexed, which should only be that tense when the arm is extended, not bent. Thats when your biceps flex. What is EA thinking about.

As far as legs, at least they have a variety of shapes, but nevertheless, they are still off, and as far as 2k's legs, they all look fluffy, untoned, and everyone has the same type.

                    Re: IGN's New Interview

They did not buy ESPN from 2K, they bought ESPN licensing rights from ESPN. And they did so because they were behind the 2K series in terms of presentation, so they had to try something to knock 2K back instead of trying to forward their own game. And if you have the money that EA has, its no big deal to buy the rights and then not utilize it fully.

I know you were referring to that pic. I talked about it in my post as well. It looks terrible in alot of ways.

Im not sure if EA checks to see if we care about the player models, and 2k thinks its a minor thing so, all in all it doesn't matter to EA or VC, but it wont stop people from noticing.

I feel you on that one brother. It makes me wonder if they'll ever integrate ESPN like VC did for NFL 2k5. Seems like they could do a much better job immersing *YOUR* dynasty/games with ESPN, not just the online user who wants real-time updates and scores.

                                Re: IGN's New Interview

                                This is a good one:

"IGN: Will ESPN Integration be subscription content now or sometime down the line?

Schirner: The entire ESPN integration is not subscription-based in NBA LIVE 07 - you get the complete package at no extra charge if you are an Xbox Live Gold subscriber."

So they're hyping the hell out of a feature that I believe it's 65% of 360 owners can't even use without paying more. That stat was from a while ago so it might be less now but I'm guessing it's still over half. Thought I'd actually get to watch PTI on thursday and friday.

The 73 player ratings should make each player more like themselves.
