There's only about 45 seconds of in game footage. I know this because I tryed to make a vid like I did for the NHL game and have nothing to work with.

I know 2K will be better I just expect this to be more fun and flashy so I'm still going with it unless a horrible demo convinces me otherwise.

If creeping up the court in zombie like fashion and watching every player on your team wave their arms in an in-sync way is flashy, then I think I'll still pass. The fact that many of you admit the game looks no good, but still decide to buy it, make me wonder. You're the same guys who complain that the game doesn't improve, but you assist in that by buying every one of them. The fact is, EA has hardly ever put a lot of improvements in their games on a year to year basis. Madden still plays like Madden with the same animations, worse commentary, same cutscenes (I think Madden 07 has 4 cutscenes for 360), and no real gameplay improvements. However, we're still expecting a huge leap with NBA Live? Well, maybe it's that I live in reality, but 2K7 has leaps of improvements all over it over 2K6, and from what we've seen of Live 07, I have to squint to maybe see one improvement. That's not effort, that's laziness. So congrats to those who continue to forward their money for the rehashed game, because when you're whining next year, no one should care.

As for me spending my money on Live, the competition is making me. Basketball is my favorite sport and i have to have a basketball game this year. 2K7 clearly looks like the better game but it doesnt have the ability to play or watch any game on the schedule and thats a must for me. If 2k7 had that feature I wouldnt even look at live. Live does have this feature so I will buy both games.

Wait In NBA Live you'll be able play other games in dynasty mode or CPU vs CPU? If so that another plus for Live for me.

CPU vs CPU and playing other teams games in season mode not franchise mode but thats more than 2k7. 2k7 only allows you to control 8 teams in season and franchise mode.

I don't visit this forum, because EA is losing my respect quickly. I didn't like last years NBA Live and after Madden this year, I don't think I trust them to put out a good game. So for the first time ever I am buying NBA 2k.

I think this forum is so dead because I think a lot of us hardcore sports gamers are realizing that EA is moving in the wrong direction with its next gen games...

EA Sports has started to appeal to the casual gamer more than the hardcore sports gamer...

For instance in Madden evertime you throw the deep ball you have to hear that annoying a$$ Bomb Drop sound.... I mean whats next, the old double dribble sound when you shoot 3pointers in Live...

This game is a RENT at most for me..

For some reason, I suspect that we'll start getting some informatin starting tomorrow. Call it a hunch, I don't know.

Will it be worth the wait? Doubtful... but we'll see.

I'll still end up buying it, just because I buy both games every year. Just like Aaron said, for the fact that I can watch other games in a season. That's the type of thing that I enjoy doing. It's a nice change of pace.

If only because the situation shows just how far people will go to support the title, and EA in general. This has been on the level of what happened with Madden when Gameday came out in the PS1 days and Madden was punked into not releasing a title that year (ironically VC was the developer for Madden that year if I'm not mistaken).

The game releases in less than two weeks yet there's been no extensive gameplay video to date - what reason have they presented that speaks to anything positive? Just shows the ridiculous lengths some will go to ensure the title succeeds. The title was poor at best last year, and EA's done next to nothing to sell the title this year. The game releases in less than two weeks with little to no tangible information yet you say they shouldn't be counted out lol? You're right, they definitely shouldn't when they have the fans they do. unfortunately true, but excellent post nonetheless. I mean these die hard EA fans are the reason EA had the money to buy the NFL exclusive license. (Which is a bitch move IMO, EA is scared of any type of competition) If this trend continues EA will soon scoop up the NBA exclusive License and thats when I will kick down EA's door...

Im wit u!!!! If that ever happened I guess Id just have to give up basketball videogaming. I can handle Madden(just barely impressed me this year)but basketball, Live is too garbage for it to be my only option.

It does make a person wonder - would Live seem as horrible if there was no 2K7/if Live were also our only choice? Imo Live isn't all that different from Madden - goofy dribbling anims/goofy QB/running anims. Both games have some nice animations mixed in with weird looking ones. Both are more shallow than their current gen counterparts. Both focused on glossy graphics (namely player faces and stadiums) and have similiar issues (Madden w/it's ape-like models; Live with it's anorexic models). Crowds are even the same - well, hard to say with Live since they haven't shown enough of it to glimpse the crowd lol.

Just goes to show how much Madden benefits from no competition though. Imo both games are eerily similiar. Personally I think EA cut their losses on the 360 game and are concentrating on polishing the PS3 version. They know their game looks horrible in direct comparisons to 2K7 so they're not even trying.
