Let's not call ppl "idiots" for buying what they want. Free world = buying what you want. I understand your point. NBA2k7 looks like a no-brainer......but ppl will always buy "Live". Their Choice.

Can you imagine if EA bought the exculsive rights to the NBA? We would have never seen the glory that 2k7 is bringing us in two weeks. And not to say that Live will be a crappy game BUT if EA has the exculsive right to the NBA we would have been regulated to play NBA Live 07 ONLY!

Now that we've seen what 2K sports has for their basketball game, EA better come with the fire or next year you're going to see sales go down. EA is going to make their money one way or the other BUT keep putting out mediorce basketball games year after year AND let 2K Sports put out excellent games and pretty soon EA will feel the lost in their profits.

This is why WE DON'T NEED EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS!

Exactly! I love EA Sports, but the chance of having 2 good b-ball games would be fantastic. So so glad there's competition. One thing I've learned is that you can't underestimate anyone. EA, hopefully, is just finishing up their game while looking at all the great reactions of NBA 2K7. I really don't think EA has just given up, but I hope and pray that when they decide to give us a feel of how the game really is, they come with some heat. Right now, 2K7 is that game not to be messed with. We'll see what happens next week. I'm a fan of both games, but if EA drops the ball, at least I'll still have a great b-ball game in 2K7. Come on EA, get with it.

Ive heard two things: 1. The 2K team is bigger than the Live team now 2. That the basketball teams for both games are actually smaller now and that alot of the resources have been moved to that yet to be announced may never be released football game. Dont know which rumor is true though.

The only problem I have with that, while it's probably partially true, is that 2K wouldn't pay all those salaries to work on one game... or maybe they would, who knows.

But I bet only a few members from each team made it over to the NBA team.

I just got done reading a very honest review of Live 07 over at NBALIVE forums. A guy named Andrew seems to be more fair and honest in his review about the game then what I've read in this thread. Based on his time with the game there is some serious negativity about the game that is either uncalled for or he is lying.

But he seems like a well respected guy over there and his impressions have changed my thought process on Live entirely now. I was expecting a game that wasn't much of an improvement over Live 06 but according to this guy the game looks great and players move much better than the videos that were being shown. I wish someone would have posted that review over here along time ago then maybe some of this nonsense wouldn't be heard everyday. I'm going to take his word on the game because he answered alot of questions and I don't think the guy would be pulling strings knowing that he told so many guy's the game was very good when he played it. I was shocked that someone was actually giving a thumbs up on the game especially when you read all the horror story's over here.

This sounds better. A couple of things I like is for the 360 you see emotions from the players, something others have reported wasn't in. Also the game itensity meter and fourth qtr buckle down on defense. As well as the rivalry games being intense from the start. Nice

Yeah I read that same review by Andrew over at NBALIVE forums. Andrew is pretty straight and up front from what I've known of him. It doesn't gurantee the game will be great but Andrew is a pure SIM guy and he usually tells it like it is regarding Live. If their is something about the game he doesn't like he'll let it be known.

To be honest, I was not planning on buying Live. I am probably guilty of being negative about the game. I must honestly say that the 2k7 demo is off the charts. I see where you are coming from PM with regards to the game. For some of us to be so negative and to not have played the game is unfair, but on the other hand PM all we have to go buy or judge by is 06, which was a disaster until you tweaked it. I said after yesterday I was going to reserve judgement until the game is released and some feedback is returned from fellow gamers.

I just hope it turns out to be a great game and yes I hope it is totally different than 2k7. In my opinion that would be great to have 2 to legitimate games to spend the winter with. Damn I miss Fresno, California. PEACE!!!

that sounds positive, but I gotta tell ya I am very very suspicious.. Mainly because no one other that this guys Andrew has even played the game... Not sure why EA wants to keep the game a secret, like its the Red Headed Stepchild..

Maybe for once they decided to not create a crazy amount of hype that they'll never be able to live up to. Could just be going with a Snakes on a Plane approach.

lol@snakes on a plane. I think EA knows where its market is @ and is basically saying F next gen until PS3 drops. NBA Live current gen is getting more coverage than the 360 version.

I guess EA figures its 1 system, we'll give 2k that 1, but we'll take the majority. It looks to me like they put alot more into the current gen as far as animations and gameplay. Current gen doesnt look to bad to me. I still think EA is just waiting for ps3. They dont have any competition with football so they can boast about their next gen game for football. Basketball is a totally different story........
