In dynasty it only effects the rosters you start with so you won't have to deal with that players real life hot/cold streak while playing dynasty mode.

Re: Live 09 - On the Spot (Gamespot)
From Producer Matt Lafreniere:
"Marcus, regarding the PG domination thread being talked about in the Gamespot vid:
I played a game with LA vs. Cleveland, default roster, default settings. I played the game straight up (no cheese); I guarded the ball carrier at all times the best I could. Boobie took a couple shots in the 1st, then was largely quiet (2-5 overall). He called a lot of plays early for Big Z; LeBron only had 5 shots at half I believe. Then in the 3rd/4th they really started looking for LeBron and he picked things up (finishing with 9-20). On my end, I ran some pick and roll and a lot of triangle iso’s for Kobe (I jacked with Kobe admittedly, 11-19). Pau was just off today (played weak).
Essentially the PG will call plays for the best players on the team (based on DNA). The thing to note in the Gamespot vid is that I intentionally didn’t guard Boobie so he could get the ball back on offense so Brent Nielson could talk about the different features. I also wanted to point out that I was sitting on the ground beside the couch with a big truss in front of me and I could only see about a third of the screen when I played. The second shot was just a fluke. This is where DNA Tendencies come into play… if you leave a shooter like Gibson alone, he will take the shot. Here's a screen of Cleveland's final stats for the game."

Re: Live 09 - On the Spot (Gamespot)
Sounds good. I really hope super PG is not back.
One thing that did cross my mind but is unlikely is that maybe since the human player sagged off and gave Gibson that wide open 3 on the first play of the game like 3 seconds in, Gibson had the "green light" to chuck.Highly unlikely I know, but just something that crossed my mind.

Re: Live 09 - On the Spot (Gamespot)
Thanks for that bit of info stephensonmc
For one thing i know it was default settings for showcase but it really has/had alot of people worried because of the past games.
I also think it was a such a short sample to really be able to tell if it was prevalent or not.Comment

Re: Live 09 - On the Spot (Gamespot)
That's a fair explanation. I'm still a little worried though because there were a couple of instances where gibson didn't pass the ball, from the inbound pass, and drove the ball to the basket or took a three after a dribble move. It was a short video so I won't read in to it that much and I'll take your word for it. I'm really excited about the game and the practice court looked really nice.Comment

That's when they ran the test for you guys. 2-5 isn't really PG dominance.Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/stephensonmc

Re: Live 09 - On the Spot (Gamespot)
That's my point though. You saw that video and you saw the game the dev played. They basically wash eachother out but i think thats an answer more vids should cover to give people a better view for themselves. Just my opinion.Comment

Re: Live 09 - On the Spot (Gamespot)
stephensonmc,
We certainly appreciate you trying to alleviate our concerns, but the gamespot video featured an unstoppable, ball-hogging boobie.
The game the developers played certainly didn't. The only way to know for sure how big/small of a problem this is is by getting a look at more footage. Preferably CPU vs. CPU footage. I think that will give us the best look at how the AI plays and how it is influenced by DNA.Comment

Re: Live 09 - On the Spot (Gamespot)
The drive was legit. The first 3pt. shot was because Matt took the PG completely away from Gibson who's tendancy is to shoot a 3 pointer.
As a Cavs fan and someone who watches them regularly, if given the opportunity, he'll shoot if wide open (and he was wide open).
The other three pointer was the "fluke" Matt was talking about.
If PG dominance is in the game like many say it might be, he wouldn't go 2-5 in one game and dominate the other. It'd be consistent. Glad we could help clear the air though guys.
Love the enthusiasm and questions.Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/stephensonmc

Re: Live 09 - On the Spot (Gamespot)
I haven't played any of the recent next-gen Lives, so I can't say how often the super PG showed up. Was it every game? Most games? Every other game?

You saw three shots in a segment. I get the concerns, but over the course of the game, it isn't so.Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/stephensonmc
