Re: NBA Live 2010 GamePlay Wishlist...
I really enjoy this game alot even though 2k9 plays a more realistic game overall .
I really dont play online and The problem I have with most EA games is the lack of any offline replay value . NHL/NBA need a Control all teams/play all games mode and a how about a PLAYOFF mode .
Im not saying ignore online cause that is their future but dont take away options that were basic in last genOptions are good for eveyone

Re: NBA Live 2010 GamePlay Wishlist...
I got a problem with how big men move near the basket. This should be fixed in 2010. It's been a problem for awhile. There is no reason that someone can catch the ball under the backboard and walk BACKWARDS then dunk it. How many times in the NBA do you ever see players walk backwards with the ball? NEVER. Especially big men walking as fast as they can run backwards. This is something that needs to be addressed on the perimeter, too, but it's more annoying inside. I propose a 'step back' between the legs crossover when you try to walk backwards when running forward. Of course, this would be harder to do with big men.
Also have a problem with charging. They should tone down the charging and make it so that you can't keep trying to stand in front of people and take charges... especially when they give a player no space to move off of an inbounds.
Further, they need to change the inbounding online because it leads to a lot of stolen passes and charges unless you go way out of your way to avoid it.
Add a BLOCKING FOUL. Add more defensive non-shooting fouls overall. I was playing last night and I crossed someone who was playing BS D and he rode me from the back and got in front of me again. That's a foul and should always be. I remember before in Live they had it where if someone was running and they collided with someone who was standing it would knock them down. I liked that. I'd love to see some Chauncy Billups type moves where you can draw the foul from an out of position defender by causing contact opposed to having an all out hump-fest on the perimeter. This, when used correctly, would help combat those people who like to run lineups with no player under 6'9.
Make steals easier and increase reach in so that you can almost always get contact with the ball but if it's poorly timed then you get the foul. I get tired of reaching especially on big men when they are dribbling right in front of me and getting nothing but air. Also, as much as they help get rid of cheese, you guys gotta get rid of those flying one handed steals.
Oh, and add in the ability to draw the foul off the pump fake again!

Yeah those in your face dunks where hot back in the days, beluda are you guys trying to bring them back I remember Live was actually the first b ball game to to really pull it off even though some times it was a little arcadey lol.Last edited by kwas676; 01-30-2009, 02:54 PM.Comment

Re: NBA Live 2010 GamePlay Wishlist...
I agree. I loved how these dunks looked for the most part. Especially with high flyers and big men like Tyrus Thomas, Stromile Swift, etc.. Made the game feel much more realistic, but had too much of an arcadey feel. If they could implement some of those dunks in and not make them so unstoppable it'd be great. I also loved the shot blocking playmaker. It's very rewarding to be able to stop some of these casual layups and dunk attempts with a known shot-blocker.
However, I hope Live focuses on the gameplay and fluidity of the players before incorporating anything drastic and "cutting-edge" ... it's all about basic fundamentals, Live still has this arcadey feel; but I have faith in Beluba and the Live crew to make Live a sim basketball game, like he did over at 2k prior to joining EA.
I had an idea too...If any of you have ever played Smackdown vs Raw, and you can argue with the ref, by hitting triangle, on a pinfall count..what about adding some type of arguing a call for certain foul situations, etc... Arguing, waving emphatically that you don't agree with the call, etc.. It'd obviously be a cut-scene animation; but I think it'd add to the realism. Each of the face buttons can determine the severity of the mannerism. Disagree, argue, walk away - stuff like that...Comment
