beluba I was really hoping you could confirm or deny that next years Franchise mode WILL have multi user franchise. I dont understand why it is that you would not leave the option to control more teams in franchise. They are enough people that play multi user franchises that this should not even be an option. We wanted to use live 09 this year but couldnt cause of the lack of this very important part of the game that has been in sports games since they were invented. LET me know either way if you can thanks.

How are you guys tweaking the jump shooting mechanic to give us more user control? In 09 it seems kinda random? Thanks

I have a couple of questions,

I want to know will NBA LIVE have a "Coach Mode" I want to be able to set my team plays and substitution, then watch them play.

I want to know will the game go to the next quarters like NBA 2K(I like coaching my teams) without pushing the button for the next quarter.

Are you guys going to add more height into the CAP mode so I can create players like Manute Bol, Georghe Muresan,etc;?

Yep. We'll be updating all of our playbooks with authentic team plays.

We're doing some interesting things with shooting controls this year. Not quite ready to release the info but don't worry, you're going to have plenty of control over how you shoot the basketball in Live 10. We've also fixed the shot release to correspond with the actual animation, so it won't feel random like last year.

I'll let iminurbase speak to any franchise-related questions. That's his game area.

Are you guys modifying the sig shots for all players, or do you feel as though you have the forms right where you want them all?

Will the DNA data feed into auto-sub rotations? I dream of the day where I can leave the subs on auto and the rotations work as they should, with high-use bench guys coming out first and no crazy rotations with guys playing out of position, etc... Seems like DNA and 365 data is made for this kind of thing...

Also, are there any plans to implement a "contest shot" button or something similar where you don't leave your feet but challenge the shot? I think both games desperately need this (the awesomely useless RS "hands up" pose in both games aside). More defensive control (maybe a "secure ball" button where you hold it in loose ball situations/long rebounds so you're not jumping for a rebound that is knee-level?) is what both games really need... we should be beyond "steal/block" in terms of "defensive moves"... Any way to deny the ball when you're playing off-ball/player lock/OTP?

Probably early for this, but will there be extra controls for OTP similar to what 2K9 has where you can deny the ball, commit an off-ball foul, juke, etc.? Basically, there was little to no extra control for OTP and you are pretty helpless on defense given that it's very hard to cover someone running around without the ball like Rip on crack with no kind of lock-on defense or additional control scheme... I love that OTP in Live is actually reliable (can always start games, no lag at all, good lobby system), but I don't play it very often because the mode felt half-done in a lot of ways, and playing defense against a wing player is basically an exercise in futility. I would love to see an evolution of this mode and the team system that goes along with it -- if Live 10 is another improvement, I could see spending 95% of my time in OTP if there was some extra control and depth added.

Which glitch are you referring to?

Steph has and Idea of what Im talking about but it's basically a glitch where a losing can quit out of a game confuse the computer and no team gets credit for the win or loss.

thanks for the fast response. I can wait to see the first info! Nba Live '10 is my most anticipated release this year besides Fight Night Round 4!

Hey i hope we can get a response to our franchise questions soon. That the one thing that really hurt the game for me this year we need more options.

Will FIBA mode have the new court layouts that are being implemented for 2010 ?

NBA style key and a slightly longer 3pt range.

I can answer that for you! I'm pretty sure half of OS could. NO!!!!

They are working on Live 10 now and Marcus and Mike both said, no more patches for Live 09.
