Re: Ask the devs a question
If there was more info from the official game website then I'd not need to ask here. There is absolutely no mention/answers to my questions pertained to the game website. It pertains to whether I need a gold account just to get rosters online from users ea locker but there's more from post #401. Thanks!NCAA- GO VOLS

Re: Ask the devs a question
I understand you can't catch all posts. I'm trying to be as patient as possible to getting answers to my questions. I bought this game a few weeks ago used. I just want you or another game producer to answer something very important. It has to do with XBOX Live & what's needed to get rosters. PLEASE GO BACK TO POST #401 OF MINE & READ IT FULLY & PLEASE GIVE ME AN ANSWER.

I'll be the first to admit the UI in this feature is dismal... you have to go to online files, upload a roster, set the permissions of the roster to 'friends'. Then your friend has to go to online file, press X, select you from the friends list, and finally see the roster to download. Sad but true."Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/stephensonmc

"The feature works with two gold accounts. I'll check tomorrow if it requires gold or is functional with Silver.

I have been accepted by a couple friend's with roster files. The problem is that I don't have an option for "rosters" from their EA Locker. I only have settings,created players,& scenario. I don't mind having to push X to bring up friends & go through that process but my problem is that there is no place from xbox live to download rosters.
Getting rosters for NCAA Basketball 09 was similar but I was able to get mine online with only a silver account. If this takes gold for NBA Live 09 then it's unfair to make people pay for this feature. Why not take a page from NBA 2K9 & implement something like their 2K Share? It's all FREE & globally. No need for a gold account + you can download their 2K Living rosters for FREE as well. Global content for NBA Live 09 is limited.
Where from xbox live is there an option for "rosters"? I don't see it unless you have to have a gold account to have this option to appear. I only have those 3 previously mentioned options so there's a problem somewhere. It makes me feel like I have a totally different game with this option missing. Help me get this figured out please! Thanks!Last edited by tonybologna; 02-27-2009, 09:45 PM.NCAA- GO VOLS

This is weird! I've seen other talk about having "rosters" as option but not me. Maybe it's to do with account type but this makes no sense to me at all. Where or how do I get this option available? Geez!NCAA- GO VOLS

@Stephensonmc:
This caught my eye from your quote. When I try to upload files(RT button,360) all that I have for options are settings,created players,& scenario. Am I the only NBA Live 09 gamer to not have the "roster" option for this game? Am I playing the same game?

So did you ever get a new 360 so you can play online?Comment

Re: Ask the devs a question
I think the issue is you need to have 365 to be able to share rosters. If we hadn't done this, each daily update would have been posted for all 2nd hand users to download who didn't have the feature.Comment

Re: Ask the devs a question
Or, you could make this feature FREE & global like NBA 2K does with Living rosters. This way we could have global rosters available for everyone to share whether it be 365 rosters or user provided rosters from EA Locker. This way there would be no worries about people that's paying for a service & others getting those rosters for free. Actually, we aren't paying for 365 service unless buying used & that's $10 extra.
I still don't understand why I don't even have the option for "rosters" even showing up from online content. Shouldn't there still be an option but when trying to use in which a message about not having proper account show up? Maybe you need a 365 roster for "rosters" option to show up but I wouldn't have thought so originally. Thanks!Last edited by tonybologna; 02-28-2009, 09:30 PM.NCAA- GO VOLS

Re: Ask the devs a question
PLEASE READ BELOW VERY CAREFULLY
Sorry. Now you have let me down once again.
I bought a brand new NBA LIVE 09 (PS3) for my friend's birthday earlier today. My friends and I gathered together and started playing the game and downloaded the latest NBA LIVE 365 roster update,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but only to find that NONE of the problems which I addressed many times before STILL have NOT been fixed. (read below)
Please please please....fix these two bugs listed below asap;
The problems are;
1. The date of birth of Jason Smith of the Australian national team in the game is incorrect. (NBA Live 09 STILL says he was born in 1950, which needs to be corrected)
2. The bodyframe of the in-game character of Jason Smith is somewhat faulty. In the roster menu, he is correctly listed as 193cm and he stands at 193cm in reality. HOWEVER!!! when you actually play him in a game (nba live 09), his in-game character is about 7 ft tall (SAME HEIGHT AS Andrew Bogut). This is a bug. and This is extremly annoyingand makes the game very unrealistic.
Please....fix these problems.....I still have faith in the EA developers and NBA Live 09 producers altho I have been disappointed a little because of delayed attempts on sorting out these bugs mentioned above.
I am a PS3 as well as XBOX360 user living in PAL region.Comment

These changes will be taking effect this Friday. When a manual update is pushed through. NBA LIVE 365 does not automatically update international teams. That needs to be fixed manually, which it has. Since manual updates go out every Friday, this wasn't done b/c if you look at my post, it was done ON Friday.
1.) Date has been changed.
2.) His bodyframe is correct at the exact height he is in real life. When you check Friday and if he's not to your liking, there's really nothing else we can do because the height he's at gives him the body frame he gets.
No need to be "disappointed." The changes have been made and you'll see them on Friday. Once again, if your requests have been missed, it's nothing against you and you shouldn't take offense. It's simply a fact that we can't be here all the time and seeing every single post.Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/stephensonmc

Re: Ask the devs a question
Haven't read the entire thread but..
Will I still be able to hit somebody with the UTEP 2-Step with Corey Brewer in '10?
In other words, will players be differentiated via dribbling mechanics.
A bit messed up when I'm breaking ankles with Walter Herrmann.
Maybe not that extreme but you get the point.

Re: Ask the devs a question
What's you guys plan in regards to getting the blogs for Live10 going?
I really like what the Madden team is doing in regards to getting 'early' but important, non- back of the box stuff out via their weekly blog.
I know you guys have direct competition and may have to keep your progress/plans a little more under wraps.
I was just curious how soon before you guys get your blogs rolling.
Should we expect something before E3/June?
thanksComment
