I think the way DNA works is that the rosters are updated once the player has actually played with his new team. So they should be changed in the next update, since they both played with their new teams today.

I haven't been on the forums in awhile so forgive me if I'm uninformed but I'm pretty sure I had gotten an update the day after the O'neal/Marion with the trade already done. Now I have seen for the past couple of days it's gone??!! Also from what I remember hearing the players are placed on there new team ASAP but there DNA is reset to 14s and 15s. In fact I specifically remeber now seeing J.Moon and O'neal on the Heat with 14s and 15s and not in the starting line up? Now it's messed up. What gives?!

This would be probably because they hadn't had a game with their new teams yet so Synergy wouldn't have the data to give them their new DNA.

This is how I see it. A player joining a new team will most likely be given a different role to his previous team, so giving him the DNA from his previous team would probably cause him to do stuff he isn't going to do with his new team. That's why the 365 roster thing waits until they have at least one game so it can determine what that player should do ingame.

Not trying to be a jerk but I hope not live doesn't have to copy 2k that much, most people do like the dribbling mechanics on the analog stick.

What makes you think they wouldn't include different configs?

I like that you've put up new lobbys with different team matchups, but if I host a game in the Spurs/Pistons lobby, I'm stuck as the Pistons. The host has to be the home team? I've tried every button to switch to the Spurs and it won't let me.

Beluba are you guys doing anything for Live 10, to make the difference in players who play facing the basket play differently from back to the basket players?

I just played the Spurs in a play now game, and Bonner and Kurt Thomas attempted several back downs against me.

This is just one example in Live 09. I have noticed this issue for other teams/players in this year's game also. I do not think you guys have DNA tendacies in 09 for playing with "back to the basket".


It doesn't help that it's pretty easy to get sucked into the backdown animation at times. I get sucked into backing down on the perimeter with my PG randomly on offense more than I would like.

Anyways, Kurt Thomas plays primarily from the elbows and baseline IRL, and Bonner camps out behind the arc pretty much all game IRL. Neither guy, rarely plays with their back to the basket.

I was just curious to know if 'plays with back to the basket' DNA tendacy adjustments are on you guys radar for Live10.

You know what's weird, in the practice gym, Bonner 99% of the time will back up to the 3 point line to shoot, but during the game, he will never float to the arc. Even on Pick and Rolls.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything. Do guys get injured in game? I haven't had any yet and just wanted to know if this was a me issue or something that is an issue with the game.

If this is the wrong post I apologize, I recently got a copy of the game and was kinda enjoying it. Anyway Im only on a silver account for XBL so I really cant dload the latest 365 rosters, but I saw that the patch for the OKC and ASG jerseys are availabe and dloaded that. I had it saved, but when I played off-line its back to the default jerseys again. Checked my Hdd saw that it was still there but I cant seem to get it to load off line. Are the jerseys playable only during online play? Thanks.

WHERE ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DOWNLOAD USER PROVIDED ROSTERS? I thought this came from "GLOBAL CONTENT" from within XBOX Live. There are no listings for "rosters" & only settings,scenario,& created players. Is the feature to download users rosters actually not an option after all? I'm not wanting to use Live365 because it can't be used in a franchise.

I have even been accepted by a couple friends from request but I only have the option of getting their created players & settings. I assume this roster thing from global content was all just a fake or rumor before the game was released. 2K Share has this option & makes the game more enjoyable. What happened to EA Sports with getting rosters from users on XBOX Live? Thanks!

Devs I have a question.

Have you guys figured out it is when someone switches there players out of position it messes up defensive matchups causing 2 people to guard one man. I've asked this a couple of times but still have not got a answer. What is the cause of this???

If I play against the Cavs and the opponent puts Lebron at the 4 spot. When the game starts it have my PF and C guarding one guy leaving someone open all the time. I know you guys have to had tested this by now, what is the cause of this????????

An answer would be greatly appreciated.

That's sad and bad news. So many people changed there lineups online that it happens just about every game so I'm left to play zone the whole game (not to mention how broke the zone defenses are).

Let me ask you another question iminurbase, and hopefully you can answer the question honestly cause I'm just curious.

I know you guys have taken great strides in making this Live 09 and it's amazing game and a huge step in the right direction. Very fun to play and I love the basic fundamentals within the game. With that being said, my question to you or any of the other devs that may want to answer is, Is this retail game of Live 09 merely just a beta and was no where no close to being finished? Maybe you guys ran out of time, im not sure but this retail doesn't seem ANY different from the demo in regards to the bugs. Theres so many crucial bugs and there so blatantly obvious that it couldn't have been possible to miss. From the fastbreaks, to the 2 men guarding the same guy, to your offensive team running to the center of the court and staying huddled up on the sideline after a time out only to have the opposing team get a free bucket. I mean these are things that don't just happen once in a blue moon, they happen consistently every single game.

So is this retail version really just a beta or demo version that was far from complete (maybe like 65% complete)???? Once again an honest answer would be greatly appreciated.
