Beluba do you ever plan on adopting the shot stick feature and having the ability to use "Freestyle" on the left stick?

I think this will help folks that want to make the jump feel more comfortable

The mechanics are being re-worked significantly to allow users to have more control over several different aspects of gameplay. I'd like to go into more details but you'll have to wait a bit. I'm pretty confident that you guys will like it though.

Will there be real help defense in Live 10?

For example, will I be able double team stars by leaving the worst shooter on the floor only?

In NBA games, when you double team in your settings, they always come double regardless of who they leave open. And the defense never rotates over away from the man they'd prefer to leave open, or the shooter on the weak side.

I want to tell my team before the game when to double and when not to. For example, I want the guy guarding the Cavs PF to step up on penetration against LeBron, and I also want the guy guarding Delonte West to come try to double LeBron on the perimeter, but NOT the guy guarding Mo Williams, etc, and if Mo's man comes helps, then Delonte's man has to rotate over to pick up Mo.

Will we ever see this kind of defensive rotation?

Real team defense. Is it in the game?

Pick and roll- either trap or fight over or go under
Post team D- staight up or double on catch or double on dribble
& how to play your man like "deny point to post" or "front" or "play behind" and even a mix it up setting.

Or even "force ball middle" or " force to baseline"

Now that would be slick.

nice ideas ... we haven't had a clear discussion of this looking back at Beluba's posts. I hope we can get some Ian-like detailed discussion on this issue.

How about
1) The floater. By far the most unstoppable move. Absurdly unrealistic it doesn't miss, and they'll make like 70% contested too.
2) Pick and roll, open to the screener 90% of the time for a dunk.
3) Baseline move, just run wide and down the baseline, foul or basket almost ever ytime
4) Fast break, your big guys don't seem to like running back, even switching the slider to get back seems to do nothing, and if they score and celebrate the guy they were covering is open for a dunk almost every time.

I understand that Devs are working on the real gameplay elements and don't sit there looking for cheap ways to play but still. Seems like to be good you have to stop playing like its real basketball and start playing like you want to exploit the game.

This is for any developer that's able to answer. I was wondering if this year PS3 owners would get Live 2010 in 1080i resolution? Some of us only own 1080i only HDTVs and have not been able to play your past and current EA games on our televisions because up to this point they have only been 720p at the highest. I actuallly posed this same question in the Madden forum and one of their developers confirmed that their game would indeed support it. I figure since you're all part of the EA family maybe this would be the year the majority of your major titles support 1080i resolution for the PS3?

The number one goal for us as a team is to make the best hoops sim on the market. I wouldn't be here otherwise.

My dream is to one day penetrate, kick out to a shooter and swing it to another shooter in the corner for 3 while the defense is collapsing and then rotating.

Have yet to see that in a hoops game. Is it in Live 10?

Honestly I've done that many times in Live 09. Drive with Odom who is on a hot streak, defense rushes to double pass out to Fisher, defender rushes towards Fisher, Kobe is waving from the corner quick out to Kobe for a 3. Seriously I've done that...look at a few videos in my Arena and you'll see I'm being honest about that remark!
