Why are constant jabs and comparisons @ 2k ok for this impression thread? lol...This game is dope enough that its not needed man.. im glad i got to experience the game myself instead of basing it of the stuff in here man...

Two questions:

(1) How do you change the roster of guys in the Hangar? Or can you only shoot around with those first 8 guys? (Pretty sure a dev said you could switch up the guys though...)

(2) Is there any way to turn off that ESPN Update? I'd rather listen to the soundtrack.

I agree Jabrony....the beauty in this game is the basketball imo lol I curl up my face @ certain visuals every game it seems like...just not my style i guess..

I just played my first full game of this and honestly it feels like a complete arcade game to me.

Really? Arcade is probably the last word i would use to descibe live 10.

I won't say if it's better than 2k10 because i haven't been able to buy it yet but i will say Live is the best basketball i have personally ever played. You have to play realistic ball to compete and it's very much a thinking man's game imo. You can't expect to play it like a 2k game because it is so different in nearly every way other than it being a basketball game.

I still feel like i could have more control when in defense but i'm improving with time so it could just be me.

Don't get me wrong I like the gameplay but I mean do better work on this role players faces too or at least make them look a little like real life. Some are flat out terrible and it turns you off at times.

In the middle of a dynasty game, watching a cpu vs cpu game, HOW do you select sides when you pause the game? The controller icon is stuck in the middle and will not let me control my team! This is a terrible oversight and needs a patch asap.

I have one major question. Do you still get stripped all the time when driving to the hole like in the demo? I turned that slider all the way down and I was still getting raked like crazy when going to the rack.

Nah the only time I really see you losing the ball is when you run baseline under the goal.

Live has never changed for me. Oh well.

What is it that you guys see in this game enough to claim it's better than 2k?

Cool if you're not into the game that's fine.

But I gotta ask... What difficulty level are you playing on?

Rookie and Pro are supposed to be Arcadey dunkfests.

All Star is the difficulty the developers designed to be "sim".

So give All Star a go, see if it makes a difference to you.

If you have already tried it, that's cool. Enjoy your bball this year.

Honestly, I agree with you 100%, there is just no way in Basketball hell you can call LIVE arcade ANYMORE, yes, ANYMORE. I have had it since Sunday and I have been back and forth between both games and LIVE screams SIM, I don't care much what anyone say's. Once you have played the game for at least a full day and really out time in it I can truly say that I'm proud of the EA basketball team this year with great application.

Sure the game isn't perfect, like we all know, and it's is always passed around like a broken record, no GAME IS PERFECT. I will say that after playing LIVE I come away satisfied every time, very satisfied. I really haven't been able to say that about any basketball game the last few years. Not even my beloved 2k has given me this feeling. Being able to play 12 minute quarters out of the box has been un-heard of man, un-heard of. Just watching players play like there real life counter parts and teams run there offense as they would in real life, is just brains of a game that I haven't seen is maybe forever. Especially in a hoops game.

I get a great feeling when I bring the ball down the court in live, and know I have to think about what I'm going to do and know that's what this game forces you to do, which is why LIVE is excellent in making the game feel authentic each and every time you play.

There aren't any real bugs in the game that I have seen yet, except the stats issue with the league leaders, and that bummed me out at first, but man as I play that **** is gone from my head now, I'm just enjoying the game for what it is and that a great, and yes maybe the best BB game around.

Anyone who plays LIVE must and I mean must treat this game as if it were real, that's why you can get the most appreciation from playing LIVE. You can't just run and gun at will, you need to setup your shots and make plays. There is no blocking issue or rebounding issue, like many have said, learn to box out and time your blocks.

The AI is very smart in LIVE and will make you pay for your mistake, so don't go into playing live close minded and think I'm so used to running and dunking and just throwing up 3's, that's not BB and not sure if that's what some of you thought it was. It's not, it's strategy and playing good D. Thats what LIVE is about.

If I could describe LIVE in one world, that world would be CHESS, that's how the game is played and you need to treat, just like real BB. So one thing left, I think LIVE this year could say Checkmate to to the other game and feel good about it.

I own both and could be looking at just one soon.

Is this a confirmed fact? Some people claim All-Star is too difficult. And I thought EA builds their games around the Pro setting.

Does anyone have any suggestions to eliminate or lessen the frame rate slow downs on the PS3 version? It's really unfortunate because I'm enjoying the game quite a bit.
