    smh..... i really hope this new control feature is second to none!!
    cause its looking a lil ruff right now....

      Once you get your hands on the controls you will understand what we're talking about. It's one thing for us to tell you guys what the control scheme brings to the table but when you experience what the control offers the game then you will understand why we have been talking about it as much as we have.

          Couple quick questions:

          1. I assume you can still call for a double team on defense? The last couple years it was by holding B.
          2. Are you folks adding any new Defensive sets or are they the same as last year?

            Don't know if this has been touched upon, but, allow defensive sets to be selected during dead balls. It's very annoying when its 3 seconds left and i cant call a press to foul

              Yes, double team is still one of the face buttons (I forget which one).

              Not sure about the defensive sets. stepsix will know the details on that.

                How exactly does the pick and roll work in Elite 11? and is the stealing and the pass deflections more responsive this yr?

                  Is there any progress on being able to pass during a gather? From what I remember, passes could only be made after the gather animation was completed. Gotta have that fluid drive and dish game.

                  What about left and right pass fakes during gathers? It could work by mapping it to a left or right flick of the right stick. I don't think it would be that hard to implement since you have the upper and lower body animations separated.

                    Not sure, if this is the right thread, but will the excessive momentum be in Elite like it is in Live 10? In Live 10 I can stand about 8 ft from the baseline tap the left stick towards the baseline and not be able to stop before I am out of bounds! I hope this is addressed.

                      it was said that allyopps where manual on pass and catch. but what about in team play. i think it would feel way more manual if in team games players would have to communicate and once the pass is lobbed then the receiving player could manually jump for it. what do you think reanimator

                        I had to try it out to confirm...and no you currently cannot pass while in gather (although you do pass as soon as you leave the ground).

                        I pointed this out to the guy who owns passing and he's going to fix it up.

                        Thanks for bringing it up.

                        As for the pass fakes, sadly not this year. Next year for sure though. It wasn't that we couldn't figure out how to do them with the control scheme, it was a time issue.

                          Oh yes, this has definitely been addressed. The improved responsiveness of locomotion both on and off the ball with probably be the thing you notice first when you play the game.

                            Smaller, agile guards often use this because they're agility is good enough that they can stop on a dime. It's especially deadly when you've got a big man covering you on the perimeter.

                            Would there be any way to allow you to pull off this kind of shot by letting go of the left stick just before pressing shoot? Say you're running full speed, you should be able to let go of the left stick completely and then immediately hit shoot (while the players momentum is still carrying him) and have him pull off a quick pull up. Agility should also play a role into how quickly the player can stop and go up for the shot.

                            It would be great if this is already in the game, or would be able to be put in. It's such an effective shot, and a go-to-move for many players (Russell Westbrook off the top of my head).

                            Thanks for all your feedback. I'd become disinterested with the Live series over the last few years, but I really like what you guys are trying to do and I'm really impressed with the amount of discussion and information you're giving out here. Keep up the good work.
                            I actually have a better example of this type of shot.

                            here is michael jordan doing a really explosive pull up jumper to perfection.



                            watch at 8 seconds, 1:04, 1:20, 2:02, 2:09, 2:26, 2:39, 2:53, and 3:10.

                            this move is a move that jerry west and michael jordan used as a go to move when they really needed a basket. no basketball game has ever had this move and i can guarantee that nba 2k11 will not have this move even though they have jordan on the cover. If nba elite had this move it would be a first for basketball games, and this shot is definitely needed because you can't play like jordan/jerry west without this move.

                            so i have 2 questions for you reanimator.

                            1. is it possible to have this move in nba elite 11, or will this have to wait for nba elite 12. im not sure if you guys are done with your motion capture or not.

                            you had talked about being able to control your player after the whistle is blown, but please remember that if you foul a player with the ball during their continuation (after the whistle has been blown) it is a technical foul tacked on top of the personal foul. This is why you see so many times in the nba that the other defenders let the player with the ball shoot the ball uncontested on their continuation. if players in nba elite 11 are allowed to control their player after the whistle is blown and foul the offensive player during their continuation this is going to get very ugly.

                            2. question 2 is, if you foul a person during their continutation do you get a technical foul tacked on? if not this is going to end up like last year when their was no clear path fouls and we are going to have every cheeser just fouling your player during the continuation every time.

                              HI DEV TEAM WE APRECIATE YOUR FEEDBACK

                              i have a couple of questions to ask

                              1) since there is no turbo does that means is touch sensative? if it is how many stages will it have on the stick? in live 10 it had 3 not including turbo. -if u push up on the left stick slowly, he walks- .- push up to the middle he jogs- push up all the way he runs. WILL THERE BE 3 OR 4 STAGES?

                              2) i was just wondering, on past games (on offense) when u were around 10-15 feet from the basket if u pressdown on the left stick the player backs up which is fine, but sometimes i dont wanna back up like that, since is touch sensative if u push the left stick down slowly does he back up? and when u push the left stick down hard, does he break away from the back up dribble and u can move him freely to any spot on the court?

                              3) i heard that the blocks are automatic like if u press up on the right stick ur player tries to swat the ball automaticly, i feel like since u guys are giving us total control it should be, if u push the right stick up, while u are in the air u can move the right stick LEFT or RIGHT to try to swat the ball with the left or right hand. WILL U GUYS CONSIDER THIS OPTION?

                              4) last but not least. my question is, will you guys include the camera angle that you guys had in the (HANGAR) in nba live 10? i really hope u guys put that angle in this years game, because u can see the facial features better and it looks so real up close like that, i was dissapointed in live 10 cause they didnt have that cam angle in a regular exhibition game. no matter how much i tweaked the camera i couldnt get that angle. i know alot of people agreed so can u guys please try to put it in?

                                i'm also concerned about the turbo. but not as concerned as i should be because in past 2k and live games, you never could blow by a defender with the turbo button so the turbo button was pretty much useless accept as being a dunk button. however, i would like some clarification on the lack of a turbo button.
