i never left, however i wont buy the game out of blind loyalty again. if it represents what i want out of a bball game i will buy it.

if not i am more than comfortable to sit out a year or more until a better game in the future grabs me from call of duty.

I feel bad for the Nba live fanboys who have been with live throughout these last buch of seasons, you guys are just like lebron. Will you choose to stay with Cleveland(nba live) and be "loyal" to a team thats your home state but not home town and have a good season with high expectations (ea marketing and pre release hype is cavs reg season) and lose come playoff time(once the game comes out). Or go to Miami which has the greatest chance of being the best(2k11) oct 5th is your decision time ea fans haha (or you could just buy both then trade ea game back for black ops lmao)

EA's approach to basketball reminds me of Steve Jobs (only with the I4) with their NBA games.... lol but lemme explain:

After years of gamers saying "we want more/better/smoother animations, season length options, SIG STYLE (for Pete's sake) for as many players as possible, better/revamped Dynasty"

But EA basically says to them every year, "You're holding it wrong" & offers a complete reboot that doesn't address most of what we've been asking for this whole gen (in this case this whole real-time physics thing), instead telling us "No, you want this new concept, envisioned from a different angle" when all we want is a complete, fun game. RTP may be great, but it has already kept us from having the complete game we get from the competition for yet another year.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I would've taken an improved Live 10, with a ton of more sig stuff (YES SIG STUFF IS IMPORTANT EA, down to the details) revamped Dynasty with options for season length and ability to play any game, manage every roster/rotations, tuned graphics, better rim/net interactions, improved post game... basically just building on the foundation from 10 which was solid IMO.

But, another year, another massive reboot. So I guess what would bring me back to Elite more than any "back of the box" feature, is the commitment that come December/Jan, we don't hear that suddenly Elite is being rebooted again, with a new team, new direction, etc.

Everything's riding on the demo this year, but EA, please COMMIT TO THIS, NO MORE REBOOTS!

UM thats not a good analogy man lebron was getting an increased pay to stay with Cleveland and Ea ain't paying us to play Elite were paying them

LOL, I'll have to say that is a great comparison, never thought of it that way. Other than trading it on for Black Ops because i only play sports games mine would just collect dust until MLB the show11 comes out.

If they would have done these things that you mentioned and put in game injuries in they would have gotten my money. I guess EA by not doing this has actually saved me money

They mention they have a 3yr plan to getting back to top status, or at least animation, something like that, don't quote me, Look up rEAnimator's post, he said something about that. If that's the case, no need to buy elite til Elite 13

-the big thing here is animations and real player art. Enough with these comic book surreal drawings. I"m sure the art team is very talented, but please draw more close to real life. That plastic look has been dim down, but still. The game is dark. I enjoyed Live 10's lighting..

-Another thing, Drop the Elite skeleton. It looks like a hunchback is running all over the floor to be honest.

-Don't worry about user control. I've been playing since Live 04, User control was never EA's issue. You guys have that on lock. I never played an EA game and had to worry about user control. From Live, to Skate, to Fight Night. The control is mastered

-More Immersion. The other week I was ragging about the other game having no licenses. I've rethought the process. No licenses makes the game better, giving you flexibility to do what you want. Make this Elite 11, Not ESPN Elite 11

This is actually the first year they've utilized their license fully. I think it adds to the authentic feel and immerses you in the game even more.
