Perhaps Nkredible's brother is a gamer savant. Or Nkredible cannot play defense. These are valid possibilities, along with "pro-hop" having the potential of being abused.

^or perhaps u dont know me or know how i play at all? I runs things when it comes to these basketball games (not to toot my own horn)...im a vet...im not a rookie that doesnt know how to play the game.

Anyways..i still play the game everyday..and nothing has changed...im killing time until espn comes out. But yes the pro hop is still too effective..taking charges or not...i think u guys are over estimating the effecitiveness of taking the charge..it doesnt work THAT well (one of you said it works 90% of the time if you're positioned right)..id ont think thats true at all..not on allstar and superstar defaults that is...when i play somebody ...they are gonna wanna play on defaults..not slider adjustments. My brother can STILL abuse me with prohop and he's not good at basketball games at all...that's just wrong. I also hate the fact that u can spinn off a person without keeping your dribble..the only way to spin off at all is power dribble button..which is weak if you ask me. Duncan and shaq both do alot of spinning off the defender while keeping the dribble....now i cant even use it at all in the game? I will admit tho..the game is a lil bettah the more i played it..not as bad..but as far as the pro hop..i feel the same way...i dunno...peeps are gonna feel the same way in this thread anyway..im not gonna try to change anyones opinions and thoughts..

Exactly, I have no problem defending it...you need to pick up on defense better then complain.

Well people can take this guy's opinon if ya'll want, but I'm sorry if a guy is scoring 58 out of 60 points on one move, it's not EA's fault, it's your own. The fact is that the pro hop is not as abusive as some people are making out to be for a couple reasons. First off, if your in front of the offensive player, the collison in this game is really strong, and your not gonna hop through somebody. Secondly if one guy is burning you how bout you double team him and force him someone else to score. You'd do the especially with a player of Kobe's caliber. Thirdly, you can play defense off the ball and deny him the ball, if he's forcing it to Kobe you're gonna get alot of steals. Fourth, you can adjust your defense to a zone and if you got some good shot blockers and big bodies your oponent is going to pro hop right into a block shot a good amount of times if he's forcing the issue on that one move. Fifth you can always take a charge but i really don't think that's the best way to defend, although if a guy is pro hopping every time, if your decent you'd be able to get a few more. Sixth maybe your playing with the wrong team. Is he gonna drop 60 on a great man defender like Marion with Stodmire in the middle or Artest on top and O'Neal down low. Probably not.

Overall, I'm not gonna [censored you naughty boy]. I'm winning on defense aganist alot of people. That's something you could NOT say for any Live game ever. For all the options you got on offensive with the pro-hop and freestyle, you got counters on Defense....if your good. To me one single move isnt super effective. But that's my opinon. Holla

lol @ this waste of a thread...you might as well say the plain ol jumpshot is too effective. Get it through your head man, the pro hop is something used in real basketball to create space and have a better chance at the basket.. wow just like in the game! It works no better in the game than it does in real life...get over it man or trade in your copy.
