Honestly, anyway you look at this, this is passing out of a layup is something that every basketball game should have. That is a basic basketball move, and it is a serious flaw.

I just disagree."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Can you pass out of a layup or dunk??
If you mean to tell me, that you prefer to NOT have the option to pass out of a layup or dunk...
I honestly dont even know what to say about that. How in the hell could you be happy, not having an option that is entegral to the game of basketball!? And even still, how can you except NOT having an OPTION. You like not having that option?
Reminds me of some of the morons I play basketball with, who once they leave their feet to layup or slash, no matter how many defenders surround them. They refuse to pass out to an open jump shooter
Or open player for an easy layup, or anyone with a better look at the hoop. And thus which adds to the delcine of the sport. Everything now is isolation, me me me. Fade away shots, trying to be like Mike. Instead of good fundamental basketball which brought the league into its stardom. Showtime comes to mind, or how abou the Celtics with Bird and the gang. The Ball moved around, and open players got the ball. Hell how do you think Laimbeer scored 14 thousnad points? Because guys like Isiah could hit him for an open 20 footer. Usually passing out of a drive to the basket.
Im ranting, I know. Because im aggrivated. The people who simply find excuses bother me. Its is a serious flaw to the game. And if you could just say to me... Yea it sucks, but I love the game anyway. I could respect that. But to try and tell me its not important??? Come the hell on!!!Comment

b/c it just isn't to me.
Don't leave your feet unless you are goin to shoot the ball.
The people you play with in the playground just plain suck if they still go up to shoot the ball when people are surrounding them. This isn't a pass out of a layup problem, this is a poor shot-selection problem."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied.
