most people thinks that the game is cheating but in all fairness, WE ARE CHEATING!!!!

how? cuz when we adjust the sliders we up our shooting and various other sliders more than the cpu. am i right? then we start the game and move our controller over to the cpu side and change their dbl team and pressure options. next, we make them run the offense we think is suitable for the team.

is that cheating? maybe.....but if we are winning then no it isnt but when we lose then yes it is.

whatever we set the cpu for, the user should be set at the same or at least +/- 5 slider points.

I agree with you about us cheating ourselves. What we all must realize is no matter what a programmer does to make the game come as close to a simulation and as close to real life as possible, it still will always be a VIDEOGAME.

Many have complained that seasons and franchise are just not worth it in many sports games because you always go undefeated throughout the season, especially in basketball games; But as soon as a game is release which offers a challenging but yet fun experience in which you cant WIN EVERY GAME then theres a problem.

I say just take it for what it is and make adjustments. I must admit for the first time ever in playing a basketball game I can say i am happy to take losses at times. To fill like I made all the adjustments I could possibly make and played the best I can only to lose a game that was a thriller throughout all 4 quarters. I have to say it's all worth the challenge the CPU Al gives. Once again, its possible to maintain as well as control the CPU hitting threes either early in the game or late to close the gap. It's also possible to get fastbreak points as well(the key being to use the direct passing button and know all of the positions that correspond to the buttons). Once you've gotten that down along with alittle bit of basketball knowledge and some good sliders, I think alot of people that have complaints about the CPU Al will find that this is a great basketball game and will also go down as a classic

To the people arguing that "we are the ones cheating"... How can you make that inane argument? To be perfectly honest, I'm not a big proponent of using sliders. But with Live, you almost have to. On default, most people admit that it's frustrating, at the very least. Sliders help some of the issues, but not all. Like someone else mentioned, there's no fastbreak slider. HOW IN THE !@#$%!! can you justify Shawn Bradley being able to get back on a break faster than Allen Iverson?

I don't know why it is, but many of EA's consumers are the most UNDEMANDING people in the world. Live is a good, very fun game - but it has many issues. It's by no means a "classic" - c'mon, be realistic. All some of us are trying to do is bring to light some of these issues, yet you always have people saying that we're "crying" because the computer is competitive, or "crying" that we can't go 82-0.

I don't mind losing to the computer - I just don't want to be CHEATED, and that's what we're talking about. If the computer can do something that you can't, it's cheating pure and simple. Can you make illogical speed bursts when you want? NO. Can you go on runs when you want? NO. Please, quit giving EA a free ride and demand more of the game. It kills me that some are willing to sit back and HOPE that EA's programmers recognize a flaw and fix it in next year's version of whatever game. Then they act shocked when it's not. You only have yourself to blame.

Case in point, Madden. Bump and run is as unrealistic as it gets in that game. Yet year after year, it's holding at the LOS. A few people complain; some call them out to be crybabies, all the while hoping the issue is addressed "next year". In NBA Live, watching the computer go nuclear is not competitive - it's faulty AI that exists just to keep games close. But what it does more is frustrate.

I've gotten to the point where I end up quitting games in Live as I've done in Madden - you get so frustrated you want to throw your controller. I don't expect perfect AI - heck, I expect the computer to cheat/know what you're doing somewhat. IT JUST SHOULDN'T BE SO BLATANT IN EA SPORTS GAMES. ESPN Football was the first game I could honestly play and not be frustrated that I lost on total BS.

How would you like to play an opponent that you were outsmarting, outplaying, outthinking - only to lose because your opponent has a button he can press that instantly causes all your hard work to be for nothing. That's essentially what's occurring w/Live. It's sad that comments and thoughts that this game is already "a classic" will probably keep it from being as good as it could be.

I'm not feeling y'all as far as the fast breaks..... after I turn Crash Boards off, on Superstar level, default everything except 45 game speed and 50 fatigue, me and the computer get roughly the same amount of fast breaks.

I can get them with much slower guys such as Cuttino Mobley, Eddie Griffin, Bostjan freakin Nachbar. Surely if I can get a couple fast breaks with Mr. Nachbar, y'all can get some with AI.

And the turning off of crash boards for the user can make sure that your players don't even try to get an O-Rebound unless you tell them to. They'll make sure to get back on D, but you can still get a semi-respectable amount of offensive rebounds.

I'm not blasting y'all, but just saying maybe y'all are doing something wrong..... it depends on when you pass to the fastbreaking player.... pass it too early and the defense will use that "catch-up" logic.... pass it too late and the defense will already be on their side of the court.

So don't pass instantly as u see the fastbreaking player, wait for him to sprint a little down the court before passing it to him.
