Ummmmm..... maybe they don't have a rental place near them, some people do live in the middle of nowhere.... not to mention the game has to actually be in the store in order to rent it

You are correct in stating they can express their opinions. I do not deny that at all. I am merely speaking to the many conspiracy theories people place on games. This is not a complaint about the thread.

I don't think anyone said conspiracy theory other than you. I stated that AI problems run across most if not all EA Sports games, and I gave my reasons as to why. I'm not any random Madden board creating "comeback AI" threads. It's most suprising that people would rather sit back and praise the game for what it does good, and practically ignore what it does bad.

I saw this a lot over at Maddenmania last year. Most times people had legit complaints about Madden, they were shot down as complainers or crybabies and that any gameplay problems they were experiencing was their own fault. Then Madden 2004 comes out w/half-assed fixes (for the DB AI in particular) and people act shocked a better job wasn't done.

Treating the game as a "love it or leave it" type of proposition sells the game short. It'll only get better with constructive criticism - going with the assumption that programmers "know" what the problems are because of some threads posted in the game's first month of release is a bit foolish.
