Hey Tim. I was wondering that since shooting aspects were in your area, did you have a hand in post play for Live 15? Live 14 was not very good nor it did it give users that many options other than doing the hop step and baseline cheese. Did you guys improve this area of the game?

Re: Hello OS NBA Live Community
Hey Tim. If NBA Live 15 is as improved as you guys say it is, then EA should aggressively market the game this time. Last year, it's like Nba Live had something to hide and by the time you guys started to market the game, you guys were already burried.Comment

Re: Hello OS NBA Live Community
A suggestion on gameplay I noticed while playing, players don't get enough elevation on jump shots or even layups. Guys with higher verticals should be represented accurately. Pull up jumpers especially need more elevation. It looks like players are tip toeing when they shoot in Live 14.Comment

Re: Hello OS NBA Live Community
Not entirely impossible, if you notice, usually if you run a pick and roll or pick and pop, you will have a secondary player in the paint. The help D usually shifts over to you which leaves that guy open, try lobbing it to him. I do agree though that the roller doesn't usually catch the alley-oop.Comment

Re: Hello OS NBA Live Community
I would echo O'Brien in saying how hard the team took the reviews but how determined we were to improve in updates and make a great game for 15.
But why should you buy it and how it will be remembered is really on you guys giving it a shot and letting us know where we are as well as how much further and where we need to go.Comment

Re: Hello OS NBA Live Community
Tim, I don't know what the plans are, with release still a couple of months away, but I want to emphasize how important customization is! We really need the ability to create a player or a team, or to update rosters ourselves. I know you guys have a vision but we missed that freedom last year and it is needed along with sliders.Comment

Tim.
Any chance you guys are adding sliders this year?Comment

Re: Hello OS NBA Live Community
Steve, I'd doubt sliders and editing options will ever be added as long as Synergy is in the game. Tell you what, I could see sliders, but no to editing. A lot of people don't understand what Synergy really is. If I explained why I said Synergy is a mask in another thread, it would make people think more. Of course EA won't really tell you why, but I think I figured it out. If im wrong, ill own it, but I don't think im wrong here.Last edited by noshun; 07-23-2014, 01:28 PM.NBA Live is the epitome of Cancel Culture..

Again, Synergy already existed and was implemented in 10, yet sliders and editing were allowed back then.
Even if the implementation of it has somehow changed, I would certainly criticize them for doing this in such a restrictive way that doesnt allow editing and sliders to be possible anymore.
Nowdays it is no longer viable to provide just one solution to two markets so distinct and different as the casuals and the sim community, and to pretend to catter and conquer both at once, is just comical, specially with so few options.
The competition managed to get away with this the last few years (even if not as restricted as EA, the other company has repeatedly taken out options, steadeadly limited editing and has certainly gone the laughable route of doing compromises to appeal both niches at once) as it was the sole offerer, which is no longer the case and therefore should not be copied by EA nor surpassed, not in this regard.
I would really like to know were did they both took such a feedback (from us or casulas). This is the type of nonesense development direction that unnecessarily handcuff a game ... in my case, it just causes me to be even more critical and demanding when errors occur and when this compromises affect the integrity of the game as I perceive it should be/play as.
We need to be provided the options (as many as possible) to make the game fit our own unique perspectives and that can only be done with editing and sliders ... the sad thing is that we were provided the tools years ago, on past gen consoles that cant even be compared to the prowess of these next gen ones.
IMHO, until someone really gives a detailed and insightfull explaining, there is no excuse whatsoever to do not have exponentially improved editing options within AAA sport games ... even more so if they provided this tools to us in the past.Last edited by ffaacc03; 07-23-2014, 05:55 PM.Comment
