i been let it go.......

back to the game......like i said earlier, i just hope its not a big bust, cuz really, in the article, you can't really tell exactly how the dunk contest will work, i mean, they tried to describe it, but it was so technical, playin it will be the only way to figure out if it'll actually be fun.......it could be a big bust for all we know, it sounds good, and all but who knows..........it also could be real successful

They say it won't be like College Hoops where you had to press buttons...so how else can you do it? Twirl the analog stick to do a 360 while pressing buttons to see what dunk you do? Anyone know how they are doing this?

Read the gamespot preview. You have full control over your dunks. You press one of the face buttons for a takeoff and keep pressing other buttons to string moves together. You can alter the angle of your dunks or throw a lob with the sholder buttons I think.

Freestyle air is different, I think. I think that uses the analog stick only but the dunk contest looks like it uses the whole controller.

at least nba street volume 3 will be pretty good if they can add freestyle air to the game. ITs probably just a way to relax, and even though it is really fake just don't do it

having played the dunk contest, i will say that of course some of those dunks are unreal... but i think they did this on purpose, as some of you have already noted, the dunk contest and stuff like that is made more for the casual fan or the guys that like arcade style. some people dont like the straight sim game, so this was a great thing to have to attract more people to the game.
even though i like my game to be as realistic as possible, i know all you guys will love the dunk contest, not only to see the dunks themselves, but because it really is a challenge to get those crazy dunks done, its not like press one button and the cpu does the dunk for you, its very interactive and will keep our interest for a while. i feel like its a great compliment to the improved game itself.
