The more I've played the demo the less I've enjoyed it. I won't be buying but I'm glad they're back in the game and will rent it for a weekend eventually.

After some extended time with the demo I'm leaning toward passing.

It's too frustrating playing 5v5 Live Run as a big man. Dumb guards are always setting immediate picks instead of spacing the floor, driving into traffic every possession, crowding the paint to grab the board, etc. When I'm wide open in the post I rarely get the pass due to ball hogging, it's almost as if I'm standing around just watching everyone else play.

If we had the ability to play 3v3 this game would be much more enjoyable for me.

The mid-90's? It's STILL a thing in sports games. Just not in NBA Live.

So it wouldn't entice me to buy Live in 19. Live needs to work on depth and customization
          huh???

Yep, casuals will have a hard time adapting to NBA LIVE 18.. It'll take more than that just to learn your crossover mechanics!

Again, I know.... I'm just saying it's almost a thing of the pass! If they do, they do.. If they don't, then they don't! Good luck with that happening!

The funny thing is with the talk about the frostbit engine in madden this year and about NBA live maybe going with it next year is that even though NBA live is not using it I think right now NBA live has better graphics then madden. I really wish they would give use some franchise news. I am enjoying the game and think the controls are a lot easier then the controls in nba 2k but I want some franchise news. Franchise doesn't have to have like the most stuff in it but I want good sim stats, trade logic, FA, draft etc?

But it's not a thing of the past...almost all other sports games have it, it's a very basic feature.

True enough... I believe a dev at E3 saying that it wasn't happening this year but it may be something they wanted to hold until now... News has to be coming about LUT and FRANCHISE MODE this week so you might get lucky! We're all waiting to see!

Re: After Playing the Demo, Are You Buying, Not Sure or No

I was going to wait until '19 to give it a shot, but after playing with it for a while I'm leaning towards getting it early next year if the full game plays like the demo and the franchise mode turns out to be OK, since I only play that and "Play Now". I've been a 2k guy since the Dreamcast days, and while I logged an insane amount of hours on 2k17, it was a difficult year with all the shooting and defensive issues. The player off ball and defensive movement on this demo is leagues ahead of 2k17 and I really dig it.

With that said, 2k18 is looking a LOT better than 2k17 with the engine improvements they did as far as off ball movement so I'm getting that on launch day as I always do, but Live 18 is definitely on my agenda after playing the demo. Its crazy because I wasn't even going to try it at all given that what I had seen from the previous years didn't look good to me, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. At worst, its a great building block for what can they do going forward and improving the series if they can resist the temptation of trying to reinvent the wheel (I'm looking at you, EA) as they did before.

I agree. I play both games since the beginning.2k is always really good but seems kind of "same thing" latest years probably due to the fact that there was no competition & it had some big game play flaws that could brake your nerves. After the demo, live seems for the first time as a game with very good game play , new ideas & a lot of fun & satisfaction after the end of a game no matter I win or loose from the cpu. This I think is the most important aspect of the game.
I really enjoyed playing it. Can't wait for release date
