If they didn’t get the most requested feature in i would bet they didn’t get anything in. You’d think with such a barebones mode they’d at least accomplish something so many people want.

Easy pass for me this year. I’ll be going back to 2k. I bragged all year to my friends about lives product trying to get them to buy it and have been repaid with streetball 2018. I really love the gameplay but I’m not giving my money to a company that totally disregards franchise fans.

Exactly. I read (i think on here, WTF’s write up on the state of nba live franchise if I’m not mistaken) we keep getting 3 year plans that are scrapped after year 2. We never get to that third year which typically is where the franchise improvements would be. It’s clear with the lack of info and communication (devs won’t even respond or engage with franchise questions on Twitter, but say “cant wait to play live, looks so good!” They like it and RT) that it isn’t in their plans to improve franchise. They are focused on the streets. That’s fine, it’s a big market. But they aren’t getting my money when the other company that has a stellar franchise writes up 5000 word blogs on improvements to an already INCREDIBLE mode. They can’t even manage the top requested feature.

This is just strictly for franchise right? We are still able to add remove shoes and accessories on players in standard roster editing like last year?

Yes, roster editing is still in but not in franchise. Which as WTF pointed out earlier in the thread means that jerseys numbers may be all wacky after trades & you can't fix them. I remember Markelle Fultz was #50 in franchise mode for whatever reason last year & you couldn't change it

this is strange since player editing was also included in the live 18 patch, smh

I won’t be purchasing at the $60 tag. My guess is that there will be a quick price drop on this title like the last few years.

Same as last year fellas. The roster editing portion from last year is in, which means you can edit rosters and then import it into a NEW franchise. Once you start that franchise however, you're locked into those rosters. So if a team makes a trade, and the guy it #38 or some junk like that, you're stuck w/ it. Or if you want to change accessories, etc, you're stuck with it. Shoes, stuck w it. Unless you want to start a new franchise after making the changes, and importing the roster for a new franchise. Stinks.

while it does stink, its somewhat tolerable. I just hope franchise has some sort of upgrade. they had to improve something. There's no way this game is "The One 2019" Right?

It looks like I’ll be without a basketball title this year. Love the feel of Live & some of the things they’ve implemented game play wise but this is unacceptable imo. Either rebrand the title as “The One” or focus on the NBA portion as well.

That's fascinating and I'm wondering the reasoning behind that. Not even changing of numbers or accessories?

                            Nope, unfortunately not.

Not saying something won't come in a patch, but I wouldn't get my hopes up much at all about franchise day 1.

Seems like something that should be an easy fix, but I'm not a game developer who knows. I would lean on the side of them making those changes in a patch though because that's insane. But then again, Franchise hasn't been given any attention and it's now late August.

I don't have EA Access but I look forward to hearing the early news from some of you guys. I'm primarily going to be playing the One, but to not have editing in franchise is crazy.

Live would have a huge modding community.. its something new and many modders for 2k at the moment started out as live guys, and moved that direct cause live stopped making pc version. It would be a well welcome game i'm sure.
