Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
Live just plays a better game of basketball to me.
Based on the demos, the only thing 2K has going over Live is its animations and post game.
I'll take Live's superior controls, AI, player tendencies and play calling system all day.Comment

Live for me.
I just like it better.
Can't seem to get into 2K. Don't like the feel. I'm sure it'll be great for those who are into it though. Just not for me.
Personal preference.Comment

Before playing the demo today I planned on getting 2K. Now I've decided to go with NBA Live.Comment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
After being able to play the demo I'm going with Live on game day. There's just not enough there in 2k to make me want to spend $60+ on another bball game.
It's about the controls, gameplay & playbooks for me and IMO Live hits the nail on the head with those 3 things.
The post game, presentation before games are really nice in 2k but, not enough for me on day one. Maybe down the road during the holiday or something I'll pick up 2k.Moderator

I'm getting both but LIVE has more of my attention this year. The 2K demo just didn't do anything for me.Comment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
2k only, i thought the Live demo sucked and EA sports games have a tendency to be hyped up big time by the marketing people so they get everyone all excited and thinking things are changing and much improved only to be disappointed once they get the product or find out another company's product is better. 2k hasnt disappointed me the last few years. Switching from Live, which i had been playing since Live 95, to 2k (2k7 was my first 2k game) was the best decision ive made in terms of basketball games.Comment

Alright, been playing the demos a bit more and definitely Live is better, IMO. We'll see if that's true with the finished products.Comment

i thought the Live demo sucked. People also thought the Madden demo was great and then within 2 weeks of the game being out people were bored with the game and thought it was overrated.Comment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
Alright I finally came to my final decision and it's gonna be Live for me this year. Played the demo a bit more last night and it's just flat out fun, even playing with teams I don't really wanna play with. Watching the 2K videos nothing really makes me wanna play it outside of the new presentation features. My Player is cool but if I don't actually have fun with the gameplay that wouldn't get me anywhere. For me I wanted to kinda pick 2K because it was the safe pick, but I'm not playing it safe this year. The video I saw of 2k with Grizz vs. Knicks kinda made my mind up for me. The movements and **** just don't seem that realistic to me.
