It's not just the graphics of the cover, it's really in the game. And I'm sure that by Oct 5, most, if not all, people who think about buying 2K11, know it.

Sure, some people will ignore this mode and buy the game because they want a new basketball title, and maybe bought previous 2K's, but I'm pretty sure that the Jordan impact is much bigger than that.

When you have a specific mode that concerns the guy on the cover, it's totally different than just having the guy on the cover/have him as your spokesman (among others).

It will only have impact on the older crowd and they already buying the game anyway..

Seriously... Have you not read the forums at all? Many posts of people saying they had no intentions of buying a basketball game and they will now.

Even if it leads to more sales than last year for them, that's all I'm sure 2k really needs at this point.

As we know the forums don't represent the masses... 2k10 sold 2 million copies so are you saying 2K11 with MJ mode will sell 4 million?

So considering you've already attributed any interest that Jordan will generate to the older crowd that already buys 2K, it's safe to assume you consider that group already accounted for in that 2 million? Should they do 4 million what will you have to say? Will you proceed to count that extra two million as the older crowd?

Based on what? You're pulling numbers from thin air and saying thats its all older crowd.

Where are you getting your stats from that says people that buy this game will only be older crowd minded, that will relate to MJ?

That's all that we need to know. So the guys that you've been saying will care about Jordan being in the game are people that you have said are already going to buy the game every year anyway. 2K10 sold two million copies (according to you) so the guys who are going to buy the game anyway should already be accounted for in that two million, if they do 4 million then they must be coming from the someone other than the older crowd that's going to buy the game anyway cause they've already been accounted for in the first two mil.

With 2K being down and Live being up the last couple of years, it's entirely possible that Elite could be a better basketball game than 2K11.

But to think that Elite will outsell 2K at the registers is extremely naive, especially with Jordan on the cover of 2K this year.

2K is going to win the sales this year, regardless of how good Elite turns out, because 2K is a long-established brand and Elite is just starting out fresh.
