I'll probably be trading NBA 2K8 and CH 2K7 in at the end of the week toward CH 2K8.

Yeah, I play both 2ksports b-ball games in coach mode and I'm finding that I cant even complete a game in the NBA because its so boring compared to CH.

Is this 360? Do you mind posting the settings file on 2kShare?

Or anyone else that has settings they are happy with. I would like to download some of these sliders and test them out and yes I am very lazy I could look in this thread, go to the link for OSUPiper's previous 2.5 settings, then plug them into the game while making the changes from cad4life, but then what good is having 2kShare if I have to do it all manually?

If you can't post it on 2kShare, I would love to see the entire settings posted instead of partly here and partly in another thread, if you don't mind.

The main problems involved excessive steals and excessive 3-pt shot attempts. My closed legacy took over Nevada in the third year where the WolfPack averaged between 120 - 130 points per game. It didn't seem as bad with a weak shooting team like Morehead State for two years. However, once I moved to a good shooting team, the game became unplayable.

It does seem that with 2k7 (don't know about 2k8) that a different set of sliders were required for 360 users and ps2 users. Don't really know about ps3, though.

It is 360 and I can post the settings as soon as I take a look. I will try to do it tomorrow. tonight is poker night and won't be at home long enough. Wisconsin is one of the fortunate states that have tournaments in bars and things like that

I don't know. I still say 2K7 was AWESOME on default All-Conference, game speed at 47 at 18-minute halves.

Yeah, I remember that discussion now. It is no surprise, b/c the VC team most likely spent their time working on the next gen game, so the sliders would end up worlds apart considering that.

As I recall, that is why my posts last year just went through my general slider strategy rather than posting #s. I agree with you. It would be better for next genners to start from scratch, building on last year's successes. NoleFan seems confident that the sliders were pretty good out of the box anyway.

I do recall that problem last year as well regarding the differences between the next gen and "old" gen. I think that we decided to cut the 3pt slider down to around 35 or so. My guess would be that the ps3 would react the same way that the 360 did because it is also a next gen machine. I would equate the ps2 with xbox and the ps3 with xbox 360.

BTW, I'll be picking up the game this Friday, the 30th.

No problem. I find it helpful too. There have been many times when I pulled out NCAA 2004 and couldn't find sliders. It's nice (not to mention efficient) to keep all the good info close at hand.

yea it's pretty much the norm current-gen does not translate to next-gen

so PS2 sliders aren't really meant for 360/ps3

...it'll still be good because the game itself is good, but I hope we get coach mode sliders for us next-genners sometime from 360/ps3 owners

I played around with a couple sliders this morning and really loved the results. it was just amazing. I put Drive tendancy at 75 and three point tendancy at 40 and got really good results. I actually felt like the teams moved the ball well and got everyone involved. so after you test the first one if that don't get try the 75 drive and 40 three tendancy. it worked very good and I may stick with this one. I really don't agree that we should reinvent the wheel. I think Piper settings work really well with 360. just a tweak here or two but for the most part Piper settings create balance in the game which is great. you can always lower or raise a tendancy here or two but I don't think starting from scratch is neccessary.

just a note. with my settings I have no problem with my guards driving. i have plenty of pump fakes and guys taking guys off the dribble. its pretty cool to see actually.
