But we just finished our 2nd year past receiving that Kansas State offer and we finished 28-4 and won conference champions ... We have Georgetown as our first game in the NCAA Tourney and they finished 22-11 in the regular season so hopefully we can take them out!

Still pretty upset about losing a five star recruit I had about 98% interested in my team to Houston but who cares lol.
No prob, good luck! Buffalo just signed three 4* guys! One from Canada, one from Niagara Falls, NY, and what looks to be Pennsylvania's Mr. Basketball. One of our 3* targets decided to go to Seton Hall instead......dumb move on his part, but oh well, LOL. I have three players in the Top 100 coming to Buffalo next year.......but, have fun at Seton Hall, kid.

Simming ahead to Selection Sunday........and the Bulls manage a 25-3 record and finish the regular season at #16 in the polls. Guess who is #1 and no doubt looking for their first national championship? Yep....the Texas Tech Red Raiders. I'd love to face them again in the championship....or the tourney in general, hah. We WIN the conference tournament (FINALLY.....I THINK THE FIRST TIME I'VE WON A CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT), and we finish at #12 with a 28-3 record, and Maryland jumps to #1.

Number 1 seeds are: Maryland, Vanderbilt, Texas Tech, and Ohio State. Buffalo enters the tournament as a #4 seed, and we take on #13 seeded Vermont. Let's get it done, boys!

Also, Duke got in the tourney as a #3 seed....first season without Coach K.

Lol Buffalo sucks in my game lol, I mean they're terrible and I think we beat them by over 40.
We also managed to beat Duke but we're in 2022 so they're not too good and doesn't it seem like Maryland is always eventually the best team in the game

Yeah, it's funny because Ohio isn't doing particularly well in my game. Duke isn't doing awful in mine....I mean, I'm surprised that their new coach got a #3 seed in his first year. Maryland..... I don't know how they do it, LOL.

I'm not sure how Vermont managed a #13 seed in the tournament. I'll give them credit that they scared for me for the first few minutes of the game when they really put up a fight, but from there they had no chance to get back in it. As they students chant it, "Drive home safely."

After an 90-54 blowout, we'll go on to face #5 seeded Illinois who blew out #12 seeded Wisconsin by 30 points. I'm a Big Ten guy, so I can't lose this game, LOL. I'm also a Purdue guy, so it's good to see the Hoosiers getting beaten by Duke in the second round, but sad to not see Purdue in the tourney.

So....some odd things in the 2018 tourney here.... Saint Louis received a #3 seed, and they'll take on #6 Arizona after beating Princeton 83-38! DePaul also has a #3 seed and faces Pittsburgh in the second round. And also, the IPFW Mastodons have been run right back into the ground thanks to their coach who replaced me in 2011-12.

In these last 4 years at Buffalo, I've managed to get 20+ wins each year, single digit losses each year, and I've gotten myself a national championship. Last year was a disappointment when we got blasted by Louisville in the first round. We're past that now, so let's go with the momentum from the big win over Vermont!

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

"Drive home safely!" The chant fills the Honda Center again as Buffalo defeats the Fighting Illini 81-59. Onward to the Sweet Sixteen where we face the 8th seeded Stanford Cardinal. The winner plays the winner between Duke and UCLA. In the bracket above mine, we have two interesting games: Maryland/UTEP and Arizona/Arizona State. In the other areas, we've got Vanderbilt/USF, Pittsburgh/Texas, Texas Tech/Boston College, Tennessee/UNC. The worst team left in the tourney (based on seed) is 11th seeded Pittsburgh.

Stanford put a good beating on Ohio State last game. What will become of the Buffalo Bulls in this game?

EDIT: UCLA dismantled Duke 82-58, and Tennesee and Boston College stun UNC and Texas Tech respectively.............

          ....

And now....the Buffalo Bulls take on the UCLA Bruins with a trip to the Final Four on the line! Tennessee has already punched their ticket to the Final Four, and they await the result of the Vanderbilt/Texas game. Do the Buffalo Bulls have what it takes to defeat UCLA?

Lol we're in 2025 now.. Ohio Bobcats started out like you know what and four weeks in we were 2-8! Haha
After that we were in our conference matchups schedule and went un-defeated before losing W.Michigan 15 points and we finish 21-10 and we will be in the NCAA tournament for the 3rd straight year.
I seriously can't wait to leave this team for a decent power conference I almost got a job offer at UNC last year but they hired someone else. #NoobMove !
            Haha

            EDIT:
The hell, George Washington just won the National Championship -_-
Andddddd , my game just froze, wow

Wow....my game froze too, LOL, no joke. I just got eliminated by UCLA and they won it all. I go to check awards, my game freezes. I reboot and sim, we lose still, and UCLA still wins it all. Our point guard Ricky Ravello graduates, and our big time center, Dean Caulibaly enters the draft! It's my second 30+ win season as a coach.

Off-season, coaching carousel...... there are openings for some power conference jobs. The last power conference job offer, a job I'm actually given a choice for, is for St. John's. The Big East.....arguably the best power conference. But St. John's? I'd rather coach a power conference team that I'm familiar with and know things about.....and St. John's isn't one of those programs....so, Buffalo will be keeping their head coach!

Lol mine was the awards too.
But yeah I had the same thoughts on switching to the high conference team but low caliber team, basically starting from scratch but having more meaningful wins going up against higher competition.
I think I had Purdue, DePaul, Kansas State, and some other teams but all of them needed a total rebuild so I just said forget about it...
I hate that I didn't save before it froze, now I have to restart from the current season but the pro of it is that I know why we kept losing at the start of the year.

I would've been all over that Purdue job if it was actually offered to me. I thought UNC was going to actually offer me a job, and I would've dropped my controller if they had....and then accepted. But they didn't, nor did Northwestern (I might've taken that job too). Only St. John's, and I really know nothing about their program. We still have a huge chance to make the tournament this year thanks to that Michigan transfer kid (I forget his name). It's odd... I looked at Michigan's roster, and they had some good guys last year....they just couldn't make any noise during the season apparently. It must've sucked to see their old recruit tearing it up at Buffalo, haha, and they'll have to see it again this year. We start in the Top 25!! It looks like we're the headliner in a pre-season tournament as well.

How often does everyone else export teams? I usually only export a team if they win the national championship....so, I've only got one exported team, lol, 2015 Buffalo. I thought about exporting last year's team with the duo of the Michigan kid and Dean Coulibaly.....but....I decided against it. I hope I can export this season's team,, lol, or maybe I'll just export them anyways depending on how high of an overall rating the Michigan kid gets. He comes into this season as an 89...

I exported my team from the prior season, turned out to be the best them I had. (My current team is looking to be that through) It had my all-american center on it, he was a senior.

Cool. Yeah, I prefer only exporting championship winning teams just because I don't have to think too hard about why I exported them.....what makes them special.

The coaches must really have something against me! In the media poll we're ranked 7th in the coaches poll 20th. C'MON SON! We have the #1 RPI ranking, we're 6-0 vs the top 25, 3-0 vs top 5! And the coaches put us 20th?! Serious HATERAID! Its OK, its conference tourney time then the dance. We'll have to prove it AGAIN we're the champs! As long as my twin towers stay in school I think we'll cruise to the final 4 every year.

Ouuuuuuuuch! That's terrible! Seriously, that's awful! Who are you with again? Maybe they just have a curse against them, LOL.

The coaches gave us a respectable rank (in the top 20) last season, considering we had a player who could've been national POTY for sure...and he won conference POTY. And this is the University of Buffalo we're talking about! Even with another possibility for national POTY on our team this year, we'll have to really prove who we are once again. It would've been nice to make another title run last year (for the sake of recruiting), but it ended in heartbreak. We still have a strong team this year, and I think if we pull in some more recruits for next season, we'll really be rolling.

I really have to think about the three 4* guys we committed last season when I look at the coaching carousel.

Im at Howard University in the MEAC. Thats why I scheduled such a hard non conf schedule, because the MEAC is terrible, Im talking 50-60 ovl rated teams who ALWAYS have losing records. I almost left Howard because of how easy the conference was. Now Im to attached to the players I have & that makes leaving just about impossible.

The only reason I could see the coaches ranking us that low is becuase of our conf schedule.

I love Howard U., met the coaches of the womens team a few years back when the NCAAWBB final four was in Tampa and we clicked and they hooked me up with tickets to the games!

Are there any changes as far as conference alignments in game? meaning any team that's just dominating their conf. get an invite for another one or could U change it yourself during offseason?

Are there any changes as far as conference alignments in game? meaning any team that's just dominating their conf. get an invite for another one or could U change it yourself during offseason?
You can change it yourself if you set it to that before you begin. I wish it would send conference invites like in NCAA football.
James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."
