isnt that also effectd my how wel u do in the regular season too, Because I started a season with Syracuse; and i finished like 16-14 or something like that. I win my conference, and I finish as the runner up for the national championship, The job ofers I got were ok They were places like USC, Ole Miss Vanderbelt, and UGA. They were big school but not basketball schools, But went to USC and I was able to pick up alot of good players though, Is this becaue I was a good coach, because i dont think it was because the program

RIDICULOUS SEASON, might be my last at Liberty

I'm about to play the Elite 8 game, I've simmed EVERY game and we're 33-1 in one. Beat #23 Pitt and #4 Villanova in non conference play. We stumbled against an unranked Wake Forest, but other than that we were perfect. We started the season unranked, but got as high as #6 in the media poll and got a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. We have an overall rating of 88, but have to play 3 seed Clemson who is a 94 overall.

Pretty good senior class, so hopefully this will get me into the Final Four

As with the both coaching carousels some1 has to get fired for you to get hired. I spent 2 yrs at NC A&T we went 19-14 and upset the #1 seeded Alabama (how did they get a 1 seed) then lost to #9 WKU (WTF). Season 2 I went 16-15 or something like that, didnt make the tourney, but got the Loyola Maramount job. Hopefully I finish this Career cause after I found out the about the recruiting priorities, I restarted my dynasty

Me personally, i always recuit for Defense and Athletic Ablities.
I had like the 4th or 5th top recuiting class behind powerhouses like Duke UK, UNC teams like that

I usually like a solid PG so he can control my offense and I can run an up-tempo style of play. I picked up a Soild 4 star PG he no John Wall, but he is good enough to Play and start on more then half in the nastion

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Started up with Dartmouth today and went 0-3, losing 2 of those games in OT.

It really is going to be a struggle to put up points. I have a good SG and a decent PF but aside from that, the squad is very inexperienced. So, I'll probably take my lumps this year, train guys the best I can and hopefully do well in recruiting.

This game is such a blast though. Can't think of any other game you can play for 3 hours, lose all 3 games and not be upset at all.

Lost 3 starters, and my 3 main scorers so year 2 was a down year. I only won 6 games and didn't even make the conference tourny.

Year 3 was much better. I brought in a 3* PG as well as a 3* Juco SG. Also had 3 transfers all in the high 60s but they had to sit out a year. Won 15 games, 10 in the conference. Won the first game in the conference tourney but lost in the second round because I missed a three at the buzzer that would have tied.

I got offered the UNC Asheville job, in the offseason. They had made the dance 2 years in a row and their coach went to Gonzaga. I decided to take the job, mainly because they had a 3* PF rated 77 that I had recruited heavily, but lost the battle to them.

I lost my first game on a last second 3 pointer. Won my next 6 including an upset over 85 rated Virginia, before getting blown out by Florida. Got a few more tough non conference games including Duke, before conference play begins. Hopefully I can make the big dance for the first time, and get a mid major job within the next few years.
              Update:

Just finished the regular season of my first year with UNCA. I finished with my first 20 win season of my career, as well as my first conference tournament victory to secure my spot in the big dance.

I only lost one conference game all season. I ended up with an 8 seed in the tournament and I am all set to play guess who???? Gonzaga. It is pretty funny that I play them in the first round because like I mentioned in my first post, the previous coach here left the team to coach Gonzaga after Mark Few went to UCONN. So now he will be coaching against his former team in the first round of the tournament. Selection committee trying to build a rivalry?

Another good note of the season is my former team, Mercer, won the ASUN and made the big dance as well. It's a very nice feeling knowing you left the team in a better position than when you took them over.

how often do you guys get transfers when you don't fill out all you're scholarships? i usually do so i've never gotten a transfer but this year i have 5 scholly's available and i'm not sure if i can fill them with the caliber player i'm lookin for...

i'm still at Easter Illinois and i've been getting a 4 star every year as well as some top 3 stars but this year isn't looking good, also how good can i expect the transfers to be? my outgoing senior class is star-studded and the class i just brought in was 3 4* guys a point a 3 and a center...
The year that happened for me was a down year in recruiting, so I had some extra scholarships that I didn't use. I think playing time could be a big factor, because that year I had those 3 transfers, I didn't have any good small fowards, and two of the transfers were small fowards, the other, a shooting guard. So I would think your best time to get a good transfer, would be when you have an extra scholly, and you are weak at one particular position.

Starting up at Dartmouth will be tough. It was my first job in my current Legacy and I had to play some serious lawyer ball to win games (all Hoopcast simming, very weak scheduling, using a deep rotation and applying zero defensive pressure to keep starters out of foul trouble, slow tempo, all inside shots, relying on beating opponents from the foul line). I used 07-08 rosters (Barnett, Mosley and Ball were the best players).

It did work out for me though, I finished 19-9 (8-6 IVY) No postseason in season 1 and in season 2 I finished 25-4 (12-2 IVY Champions) made the tourney and lost 53-51 in OT in the 1st round to Nevada (30-3). Got my rating up to B- and got the Nevada job (premier mid-major in the country currently). I now have the talent to play my preferred style (think 40 minutes of Hell on a steroids/acid cocktail).

I can tell it's going to be tough, but that's why I went there. I wanted to play outside my comfort zone (usually use SU and run 2-3 zone and shoot from deep and fast break) and this definitely is that. I am using the 07-08 rosters. Mosley is the only guy that can shoot from the perimeter. The rest is all interior.

Their man-to-man defense is pretty good but yeah, fouls can make things difficult. I really wish I would've won those 2 OT games (I missed some FT's in both in regulation that cost me). I played VMI, which pressed me all game and I lost by 34. I'm hoping to tread water until Ivy League play starts and then try and win that conference.

By the way, was curious if most people just use Manual for recruiting? I've got it on Assisted but am thinking of making a switch.

I use manual recruiting, it's the way I have always done it and it has worked well for me. I like to have full control over the players I target, offer and eventually sign. I only use the assistants for the occasional email or phone call in weeks where my HC has no recruiting points.

An update on my 2nd year Central Arkansas closed dynasty: Conference play has gone extremely well, as we are currently 12-2 with 2 games left, 22-5 overall. We have a one game lead in the conference over Nicholls State, who we play in our next game. If we win we will be the outright conference champs, but if we lose we'll be tied, and they will own the tiebreaker. My final regular season game is against McNeese State, they are 1-21 so it shouldn't be much of a game.

My Legacy's current state is good. Although my best five are good my bench isnt that great. I have 2 7'0 C's. One rated 75 ovr and the other with a 72 ovr BUT his potential is at A-.

It's no doubt these conference games are some of the toughest games I ever played. Lost one game in overtime with the score at 71-77, and believe me that was one good game. current record is 15-3 (+/- 1 win)

Just finished regular season of my fourth season of my Elon Legacy. I won my conference championship and made the Big Dance my first year but lost to tOSU in the first round. I missed the tournament my next 2 years but then made it again in my 4th after I won the Conference Championship. I made it in as a 14 seed and I play the 3 seed Clemson Tigers. Looks like another early out for me this year, and I graduate my 4 best players, a PG, a SG, a SF, and a 7'0" C.

I finished the 5th season of my Elon legacy. I finished 25-13 and won the Southern playoffs to get a #15 seed in the Ncaa tourny. I upset #3 Drexel and #6 South Carolina before falling to #5 Arizona. I graduate no seniors so my team will be very strong next year
