I ended up making it to the Final Four (defeating #14 SE LA, #6 Duke, #7 Wake Forest, and #1 Pittsburgh along the way) before getting blown out by #3 Maryland (who shot 66% from the floor and 63% from downtown) 86-70.

I started out this season 13-0 making it to #4 in the country before getting blown out by a mediocre California team in Berkeley and losing to UCLA on the road.

entering my 4th season at Texas State. I've mostly simmed up to this point, I play most of the conference game though. played all the tournament games I had(NCAA and conference). I was the #1 seed last season in my conference tourny, but lost in the championship game and that ended my season(no NCAA or NIT bid). the year before that I managed to win the conference tourny and get into the NCAA tournament, only to lose to Duke.

now in my 4th season, after recruiting about 4 3*s and 2 2*, I now have 4 true freshman starting, and a Jr SG. young team, but overall, it's a better team. my FR PF name is Grizzard. lol awesome name.

To make a long story short, Im 24-2(11-2) Ranked 9th in the country(RPI is 1, Bracketology is #1 seed) while teams with 4-5 losses stay ahead of me. Im 3rd in my conference(at 11-2!!) With 9 Big East teams ranked in the top 25, I lost to #18 Louisville by 13 and #4 Marquette by 16..The thing that stands out about those games, they both shot over 50% from deep, and they shot ALOT of 3's..I just couldn't compete vs that. Im having alot of fun right now, I cant wait for the NCAA Tourney and next year, which will be a rebuilding year. Probably NO starting seniors next year. CUSEEEEEEEEE!

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Well I in an Open Dynasty. I chose Syracuse to start with, Year one we finished 17-14 and played in the NIT.

I stayed with Syracuse year 2 and we finished 25-14 a game away from the National Championship. After My Second Year with Syracuse, I felt I put them on there feet you success. There Last 2 years in my Dynasty They finished 21-7 and 22-11

After year Two I took the Job at USC and Coached there My 1st year, We finished 21-14 and were blown up Round 1 buy Duke

We came back strong the Next Year (31-11) and Lost the Championship game to West VA

And are past two year We finished 31-7 and 34-5 and We won Back to Back National Championship beating West VA and Texas Against Texas My Freshman Center had the best game of his life dropping 43 points. Also He had 6 steals 5 blocks and 5 rebounds. After 1 year He has beside to leave for the draft. Along with 4 other teamates (1 Freshman, 1 Junior and 2 Seniors)

I think it time for me to move on to another school My Top 5 Options are... Duke, North Carolina, Florida St., UGA, and Wisconsin

I decided to go with North Carolina, They finished 21-16 (6-10) Conference Play They played in the NIT Last Year and Lost the Championship game by 2 to Ohio ST. (62-64) We have 2 Seniors Leaving this year, So I feel really good about this year

If you are wondering I just finished my 2012-2013 so I'm entering my 2013-2014.

          Wish Me luck I'm recruiting

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Played another game vs Mount St. Mary's.
Lost 74-73. I SHOULD have won this game. I was leading pretty much the entire game and with 2 minutes left was up by 7.
However, I don't know what happened. Let me just say, I think there was a little bit of a CPU cheat code going on. No, I'm not bitter, it was a great game...but it seemed that there were just some convenient things going the CPU's way in the last 2 minutes that hadn't happened all game.

I was up 7, when I foul their guard shooting. Ok, he goes to the line and sinks both FT's. No big. I'll go down and nix those as I had done most of the game anyway.
Nope. On the inbound pass, my player throws the ball DIRECTLY to the defender, who was nowhere near my guard. That was the most ridiculous thing I have seen since starting this dynasty. He gets a free layup to come within 3 points.

With 1 minute to go, he starts fouling me(and I'm well into the FT bonus) The score would be tied at 71 with about 16 seconds left(MSM had just hit a 3 to tie it up)
So they foul me right off the inbound. Ok, I hit both FT's. However, several possessions ago, I had missed one FT. Keep that in mind.

73-71, 15 seconds remain. MSM takes it down and works the ball around to find their guard who was well defended and makes a crazy 3 point shot. 6 seconds and I trail by 1. I quickly advance the ball but miss a buzzer beater from about 15 feet away.
            Frustration and heartbreak.

So I'm now in year 5 with my legacy with Coach Falls...I'll just give you the resume for Falls, for those of you who like reading about ch2k8 lol.

2008-2009 (Northern Colorado) 26-7 NCAA First Round
2009-2010 (Northern Colorado) 26-5 *16-0 in conference* Championship Game...lost to Texas

2010-2011 (Northern Colorado) 31-4 National Champions

              2011-2012 (Got hired at Gonzaga)

I just finished the regular season and watched the Selection Show...I finished #10 in the end of the year poll with the 2 RPI.

My record was 30-2 [13-1] after the conference tournament.

I was expecting to get a 3 seed, 2 seed at the most in this coming up tournament, but to my surprise, Gonzaga came up as one of the #1 seeds in the tournament.

I feel like I have a real good shot at going all the way this year, and repeating as national champs for Coach Falls.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I finished the season strong, Losing to Louisville again to finish 29-3(15-3) Winning the BE conference regular season championship. I was ranked 9th in Coaches and 15(WTF) in media polls. My RPI was 1, and I ended up losing 83-81 in 2 OT vs West Virginia in BE championship game, Whom I beat in the last game of season 68-60. I ended up getting the 4th 1 seed(you pollsters can eat it!), and I reach to the Elite 8, Taking out (16)Charleston Southern,(9) My old team Valpo,(4) Memphis who had a 13pt lead at halftime, they went cold. I then faced off against (2) seed 31-4 Maryland. They DOMINATED me. I don't know whats with this game, but this is my 3rd Elite 8 in 3 years, I just cant make it!

I got a GREAT Recruiting Class but like I said, my PG-86ovr,PF-86ovr,C-82ovr and 6th man(PG)81-ovr all left as they were Seniors, which leaves me with a very young undeveloped team.

SG Brett Hipsher is a 81ovr SG with 84 3pt shot, and some nice ball handling. He'll be my 6th man off for about 18-22mpg.

PF 6'6(LOL) Dajaun Coles 80Ovr with 80ORB 793pt 76BLK. He'll be 7th man, Hes actually rated higher then my starter but I feel starting the JC Transfer I redshirted my first year was fair. He's 6'10 79ovr. Plays good.

C 7'0 I totally forgot my name, but hes a rebounding defensive powerhouse with a 80overall rating. He's an IMMEDIATE starter. BEAST.

PG 6'3 from Croatia. He actually was my last option for PG, and scholarship. I almost didnt use it but the other team(Maryland) dropped off and I was only one left. Hes 76ovr and Im red shirting him.

Im Unranked to start the season and scheduled vs #4 Georgia Tech who had the #1,#2,#5,#16 and #23 guys in recruiting class LOL. FAB 5! 3 of them are starting, one is a 86 overall center.

I have a very young team, but talented. Im gonna slow the tempo down, get at rebounds and play a tight 2-3 zone. Keep scores low. I have a great defensive team, but scoring could become a problem, specially in a packed BE once again. 8 ranked teams to start the year..and Im not even one of them.

With Eastern Illinois I have been bounced out of the first round of the tourney back to back seasons. My 2nd year I signed a 5 star all-american SG, a 4 star juco PG, and a couple 3 stars. Next season I added another 5 star SG and a couple more 3's. I can recruit pretty well with them and I think I could make a run in the tourney will all the talent I have been getting lately.

Just finished season 2 at Texas State. Finished the regular season with a 20-9 record, won the regular season conference title by 1 game over UTA. Won the conference tourney and much to my surprise got a #10 seed against Notre Dame. Beat them 61-50, then faced Illinois in the second round and got beat 67-61. I was down by as many as 18, but made a late run to no avail. Getting ready to start season three and have decided to beef up my non-conference schedule (finally). Got Tennessee and North Carolina (winners of the last 2 national championships), plus USC and Washington State for a little PAC-10 flavor.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Just finished season 3 at Nevada (season 5 overall), finished 36-1 16-0 WAC (all hoopcast sim). Won WAC reg season and conf tourney titles (3rd consecutive season winning both), had the #2 RPI ranking, entered the tournament ranked #1 in both polls and got 1 seed in the NCAA Tourney. Breezed through the first 2 rounds of the tourney beating 16 seed VMI 136-40 (largest margin of victory in NCAA history) and 9 seed Hofstra 110-71 but in the Sweet 16 got beaten by #4 seed Texas (rated 88 opposed to my 94) 104-91.

This was the second consecutive season Texas upset me in the tourney and much like last season we had no answer for their 3 point shooting (they hit 16 out of 35) plus they made me foul more than usual, turn the ball over much more than usual and put up runs every time I went to my bench making my superior depth useless. Changes in defensive pressure and match-up adjustments did nothing to slow them down which was really frustrating because on paper we matched up really well with them. Texas is the only team to put up 100 points on me in my 5 year career.

This loss was much more disappointing than last season’s because I had the best team in the nation, made several schematic and philosophical changes designed to make my team more stout on defense and was aiming for an unrivaled 40-0 perfect season plus I really wanted to send my 3 standout seniors (Dawan Swift, Keon Ma and Kennedy Woodards) out with a national title to cap off their amazing careers (their class finished with a 135-7 record, 74-2 record versus WAC opponents, 4 regular season WAC titles and an NCAA record 85 game regular season winning streak). We averaged 106.8 ppg (24 100 point games) during the season and had a 44.2 average margin of victory (NCAA record).

The season featured a 36 game winning streak (from 12/3/11 to 3/23/12), we finished ranked #1 in the Mid-Major Poll (ranked #1 in 36 straight polls), #1 in the Media Poll (#1 in 8 straight polls) and #5 in the Coaches Poll (reached as high as #1). My coach Matthew Graves won WAC Coach of the year for the third consecutive season and I had 5 All-WAC players, SG Dawan Swift (1st team), PG Kennedy Woodards (2nd team) SG Keon Ma (2nd team), SG Lewis Conroy (Freshman team) and SF Isaiah Sorrentine(Freshman team). Sorrentine was also chosen WAC freshman of the year.

The WAC enjoyed a great season finishing 3rd in conference RPI and had 3 tourney teams; 1 seed Nevada, #9 seed Idaho and #10 seed Boise State all of which won tourney games. Nevada and Boise State both advanced to the second weekend, Nevada losing their 1st game of the weekend in the Sweet 16 versus 4 seed Texas and Boise State beating 3 seed Rice before losing in the Elite 8 to 1 seed Florida State.

As mentioned before I have 3 seniors departing (all starters; Swift-92, Woodards-91, Ma-89, all drafted into the NBA) but return 7 players rated 80 or above so my team will still be very strong and will contend again for the national title. I had 3 coaching points and used 2 of them to improve teaching (now rated A) and the other to improve discipline (now rated B). My overall coach rating is now B+, my overall career record is 149-17 (.898) and my NCAA Tourney record is 4-4. I retained assistants Jim Yarbrough (B-, former SE Louisiana HC) and Mike Adras (B-, former Northern Arizona HC). Due to Mike Krzyzewski’s retirement I got the opportunity to coach a very talented Duke team (rated 94 with 4 returning starters) but turned it down wanting to remain at Nevada and turn the program into a national power, Akron coach Keith Dambrot got the job.

I signed yet another excellent recruiting class featuring the #15 and #19 players in the nation as well as a 5 star JUCO PG so my team will continue to have great depth. This will be my first Nevada team composed entirely of my recruits. Though we will take a step back we’ll still be national title contenders and should still finish with another dominant 30 + win season.

My former school Dartmouth (coached by former Georgia HC Dennis Felton) continued their Ivy League dominance finishing 28-2 (14-0 Ivy Champions) got a 4 seed, won their 1st round game versus 13 seed Norfolk State (the only team to beat them during the regular season) before eventually losing in the 2nd round to 5 seed Houston 76-67. They finished #2 in the Mid-Major poll (reached as high as #2), #16 in the Media Poll (reached as high as #14) and #15 in the Coaches Poll (reached as high as #12) and also had a 20 game winning streak from 12/24/11 to 3/15/12. Dartmouth loses 7 seniors (2 starters) but return their 3 highest rated players (Blackett C-84, Elder PF-81 and Sweetney SF-76). They should be able to win the Ivy League title one more time before taking a big step back and having to rebuild because Dennis Felton hasn’t done as well as I did in getting good talent to Dartmouth (only 1 3 star out of 9 total recruits signed). A run like Dartmouth’s won’t likely be seen in the Ivy League for quite some time (4 straight Ivy League titles, 114-31 record).

Felton’s former assistant D’Jamal Rhode got the Princeton job last offseason and using my system turned around the team from 4-25 (2-12, last place Ivy League) to 16-14 (8-6, 3rd place Ivy League). Princeton will return 3 starters (including 1st team all Ivy SF Bradley Worthington and will be bringing in 3 3-star recruits so good things look to be ahead for them and they could possibly supplant Dartmouth as the dominant Ivy League power starting in 2013-2014.

                        The Nevada program’s current streaks:

Regular season wins: 85 in a row, started 12/22/09 (NCAA record)
Conference wins: 57 in a row, started 12/30/09
Home wins: 60 in a row, started 1/27/09
Road wins: 40 in a row, started 11/13/08

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Launched myself into a new dynasty (open legacy) with my alma mater, Western Kentucky. I simmed my first season (with 2009-10) rosters and unfortunately finished 14-14. I did not receive an NIT bid. However, I am doing a great job with recruiting. I landed a 6-6 wing guard named Corey Bradford - I believe a guy with the same name played for Illinois about 8 years ago - with my first scholarship. I played some ABL games with him and he can flat out stroke it for a 3-star recruit. I have 5 additional scholarships opening and am in good position to land a 5-star JUCO point guard, a 4-star seven foot center, and a 5-star JUCO power forward. I'm also in the mix with a 3-star point guard and a 3-star shooting guard. I'm hoping to land 2-3 of these guys and then maybe use another scholarship or two should I come across a solid player late in the recruiting season. I plan on spending a lot of time editing the rosters to reflect next year's rosters. For example, I plan on taking the top 100-real life recruits and adding to their real-life teams. Some may find this odd but I still play the heck out of NBA 2K8 and love the import draft class feature. In my dynasty, Duke just signed a 5-star point guard and I plan on changing his name to Kyrie Irving....Syracuse signed a big-time center and I will change his name to Fab Melo. And so on....I don't change the ratings, however, unless I have to change a guard to a forward, center to a guard, etc.

Oh, and the best thing of all is that I just bought an HD TV. This game looks ten times better in HD....feel like I'm playing a brand new game!

CPU vs CPU(AD mode) Legacy with Southern:

Finally won my first Conference Tourney championship after 10 years with the program

It felt sooo good to win, I didnt even care about how badly we would get blown out in the 1st round of the NCAA's, winning the SWAC was my Championship!

It was a crazy season, we finish our non conf schedule with a 5-7 record with 2 big wins over a power conf school and a mid major(neither of those schools had a post season)

About one month before the Conference Tourney, we lost our star player and leading scorer for the season(Sr, 13ppg 40% from 3)

At that moment, we were in a race for the regular season title standing at 7-6 and trailing 2 games for the #1 spot...

All of that went down hill when we lost our leader...We lost our next 5 games resulting in a 7-11 conf record and barely made it into the tourney thanks to a tie breaker we had over a fellow 7-11 team in our conf...

Tourney gets here and after playing in our worst game since our 0-25 season( came off a 36-60 lost to a team in our conf, we shot 20%)

I had no hopes off defeating the #1 seed(There was a 4 way tie in my conf, 4 teams finished the season with a 11-7 record...A wide open tourney)

We ended up winning the first round of the tourney defeating Alcorn St 67-61, everyone on my squad stepped up as if they learned something from that 36-60 loss a week before...

2nd round match was against the #5th seed defending champs Grambling St...We took the out 66-58

Championship game(our 2nd in 10 years) was against the Fav #2 seed Alabama St(coached by Doherty)

                            we won 67-56!

As I'm jumping for joy watching the selection show, we get invited to participate in the play-in game against UTSA, a team we defeated during the regular season(73-45)

We go into the game without our best player again(which we looked clueless offensively during the first 5 games without him; I love the team unity feature!) and look fantastic on the offensive end defeating UTSA 63-55(we shot 46%)

Next up, #1 seed 25-7 Syracuse!

It was a close defensive game, we almost pulled off the biggest upset in sports history but just like a great team, Syracuse pulled away with the victory with 2min left in the game, going on a 10-0 run defeating me 71-65

WOW was that a crazy year, after march madness started, I did not miss my key player at all!

We finish the season with a 16-20 record, shooting 39%(29% from 3; went down after our star player got injured)) while our opp shot 40% for the year

We lost 6 players(1 tranfer) from that team this year, 4 of our 7 player that's returning were key players from last year..

I have two decent players which are my starting guards, Verdell Jones and Maurice Creek. Creek is a pure scorer and can fill it up. He's averaging 21 ppg for me. Jones is my PG. Good passer and very fast. I always drive inside with him. Other than those two, just a bunch of mediocre to very bad players. I don't have any player higher than a 76.

Ok well, for some reason I was ranked 18th in preseason. No idea why. I made my schedule as close to IU's real 09-10 schedule as possible. I've already played 7 games. Just lost my first game. It was to Maryland. I lost 73-64. I'm 6-1 now ranked 11th in the nation. But don't be fooled. This team really isn't that good. I have 6 wins from a bunch of horrible mid majors. The only team that was rated close to me that I beat was Ole Miss. So I'm off to a good start, but I have Pitt and UK the next two games. I fully expect to lose.

My goal for the season is to make the NCAA tournament, but in reality I probably won't. I expect to lose quite a few games in Big 10 play. We'll see. I do have a lot of pretty good shooters, particularly 3 point shooters. The problem is, I have NO inside game what so ever. If my perimeter game gets shut down, I'm toast. We'll see how it goes. Should be fun. Looking at my schedule, I realistically expect to win about 14-16 games.

The good news is, I just landed the #2 overall recruit in the country. A PG named Samuel Reese.

BTW I'm playing with updated rosters and my own personal sliders(sliders are on 2k share if anyone wants to try them.. they're called "Revis' AA Final Sliders").
UPDATE: Finished the 1st season like a week ago. I gotta say, I had a much better team than I thought. My guard play was excellent. Maurice Creek averaged 25 ppg. Verdell Jones averaged 15 ppg with 7 assists. And I had several good outside shooters. My perimeter game is what saved me. Shot 40% from 3 for the season. After that 6-1 start, I went on to get to 16-3 ranked 5th in the nation. It went a little downhill from there. I finished the regular season losing 7 of 9. Finished the regular season unranked with an 18-10 record. In the Big 10 tourney I beat Minnesota and then lost to Ohio St. by 17. With a 19-11 record and a 10-8 conference record, I got a #8 seed in the tourney. In the 1st round I barely escaped a Louisiana Tech team, beat them 61-59. Next game - #1 seed Ohio St. I thought for sure I was going to hammered, but the Madness of March was in my favor. I upset the Buckeyes 81-74 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. Next game was Michigan St. Got drilled and I mean DRILLED. Lost 87-56. So I finished with a 21-12 record and a trip to the Sweet 16. Not bad.

The Final Four was weird.. #4 MSU against #10 Purdue and #1 Clemson against #3 UCLA. Purdue and UCLA won. Yes, a 10 vs 3 in the Title game. UCLA won 76-70.
