I started a new career legacy with American where I mainly sim and just see how the NCAA seasons go and recruit a lot. I did so-so with American but good enough to be offered a job at USD, one of my favorite teams. I accepted the job and had some good seasons and building them into the new Gonzaga. I had a miraculas final four run one year and just last year with my best team and 3 seniors, I won the big dance.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
son of a biscuit!
Had played my(Elon) last two games of the season, losing to both College of Charleston and ETSU, but then when I went to load my first round conference tourney game, the game froze!
Bah!
Still, sitting at 14-12 first year isn't too bad. I usually struggle the first season...and then also the seasons after that. This one is looking good!"There's nothing more embarrassing than to have earned the disfavor of a perceptive animal." - Michael ChabonComment

Just finished year 4 at Texas State (coach mode) and won the NT. I wish I was happy but I'm more frustrated than anything else. I've read a lot of people saying coach mode is too easy and I believe it now. My team beat absolutely loaded UNC and Villanova teams that should have stomped us. This kind of sucks. Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just finished season 4 at Nevada (season 6 overall), finished 37-2 15-1 WAC (all hoopcast sim). 98 game regular season, 57 game conference, and 40 game road winning streaks all ended on the road versus Idaho (rated 78 to my 91, 1/3/2013 lost 78-70, missing 3 players due to injury) it is my only WAC loss to date. Won WAC reg season and conf tourney titles (4th consecutive season winning both), had #21 RPI ranking and entered the tournament ranked 7th in the Media Poll and 10th in the Coaches Poll and got 2 seed in the NCAA Tourney.
Results (all played without the services of starting center and leading scorer B.A. Frey)
1st round-defeated 15 seed Winthrop 116-77
2nd round-defeated 7 seed South Carolina 89-80
Sweet 16-defeated 6 seed Dartmouth 84-74
Elite 8-defeated 1 seed Marquette 104-74
Final 4-lost to 2 seed Duke 91-75
This tournament was by far the most interesting one I have been a part of to date, the intrigue really started in the Sweet 16 where I was matched up against 6 seed Dartmouth my former team who still runs my system. It was our first meeting since I took the Nevada job, we both entered the game on long winning streaks (18 for them, 22 for me) and were both missing starting big men for the game (83 rated PF Raymond Elder for them, 84 rated C B.A. Frey for me). Despite being without a key starter and getting very little contribution from their bench Dartmouth stayed with me the whole game before falling late 84-74. The win was bittersweet as I had to beat a team I am very fond of who gave an outstanding effort and it ended a golden era of Dartmouth basketball (more on this later).
More intrigue followed in the Elite 8 as I was matched up against a #1 seeded Marquette team that was virtually identical to the one I defeated 84-64 a season ago in a non-conference tournament. They were without 2 key contributors (O’Neill C-79, Battle SG-77) for the game and it affected them as I began to jump on them late in the 1st half then blew things open in the 2nd half before winning 104-74.
By far my most compelling game of the tournament was against 2 seed Duke in the Final 4. Mike Krzyzewski retired last offseason and I was first on Duke’s list to replace him, after a lot of contemplation due to the outstanding condition of Duke’s roster (4 returning starters, rated 94) I decided to decline their offer as I wanted to continue to build Nevada into a national power, they settled on Akron HC Keith Dambrot. By the time we met up in the Final 4 Duke had improved to a 96 rating (compared to my 92) and had 10 star players, they also had breezed their way to the Final 4 (35.8 margin of victory in 4 games previous games). I hung with them for the first half and the beginning of the 2nd half but they started to make a run midway through the 2nd half and I couldn’t keep up and eventually fell 91-75.
As was the case in my previous tourney losses, I got lit up from deep (16-40), turned the ball over more than usual, didn’t get to the foul line enough and fouled more than usual though this loss wasn’t nearly as disappointing as the others as Duke was better and deeper than me and I was missing 2 key bigs. Duke lost in the national championship game 91-89 to the archrival North Carolina (#1 in both polls, #1 overall seed and rated 98). I don’t regret not making the move to Duke and consider the season a success due to the Final 4 run.
The season featured a 24 game winning streak (from 1/5/2013 to 3/31/2013) we finished ranked #1 in the Mid-Major Poll, #5 in the Media Poll and #5 in the Coaches Poll. My coach Matthew Graves won WAC Coach of the Year for the 4th consecutive season and I had 3 All-WAC players, SG Steffon McLeod (2nd team), C B.A. Frey (2nd team) and PF Allen Thompson (2nd team and Freshman team), Thompson also won WAC Freshman of the year. His accomplishments were astonishing as he only played in 12 games before succumbing to a ruptured Achilles. We averaged 104.4 ppg (27 100 point games) and had a 38.6 average margin of victory.
I lose no players so I should enter the 2013-2014 season as the national championship favorite and will again aim for the 40-0 perfect season (11 players rated 81 or better including 3 star players and 4 coaches on the floor) those ratings will get better before I begin next season. I had 1 coaching point and used it to improve teaching (now rated A+) My overall coach rating is still B+, my overall career record is 186-19 (.907) and my NCAA Tourney record is 8-5. I retained assistants Jim Yarbrough (B-, former SE Louisiana HC) and Mike Adras (B-, former Northern Arizona HC).
My former school Dartmouth (coached by former Georgia HC Dennis Felton) continued their Ivy League dominance finishing 28-5 (14-0 Ivy Champions) got a 6 seed, won their 1st round game versus 11 seed William & Mary 60-50 and their 2nd round game versus 14 seed Drake 72-62 before eventually losing in the Sweet 16 to my Nevada Wolf Pack 84-74 They finished #3 in the Mid-Major poll and also had a 18 game winning streak from 1/19/13 to 3/24/13. Dartmouth loses 4 seniors (4 starters) and will likely take a huge step back next season but should still contend for the championship in what promises to be a mediocre Ivy League.
Dartmouth’s run these 5 seasons has been astonishing (5 straight Ivy League titles, 142-36 record, 3 NCAA Tourney wins, 1 Sweet 16 appearance, 3 conference players of the year, 5 straight Ivy Coach of the Year winners, several weeks ranked in the Mid-Major, Media and Coaches Polls).
Felton’s former assistant and current Princeton HC D’Jamal Rhode finished 22-7 (9-5 2nd place Ivy League) and got a 5 seed in the NIT where they lost in the 1st round to 4 seed Kansas 72-55. Rhode completed an amazing 2 season, 18 game turnaround which will certainly have him on the radar of bigger schools in future offseasons. Princeton will return 4 starters and their top 6 scorers so they look to be the Ivy League favorite heading into the 2013-2014 season.
The spread of the Dartmouth Way continues as Felton assistant Kaylen Lidzius got the HC job at Binghamton. The Bearcats (rated 68) only finished 8-20 but do return 4 starters so they’re poised for a big turnaround and could figure into the America East title race as several of their conference mates will be losing many key contributors.
The Nevada program’s current streaks:
Regular season wins: 17 in a row, started 1/5/2013
Conference wins: 18 in a row, started 1/5/2013
Home wins: 78 in a row, started 1/27/09
Road wins: 7 in a row, started 1/5/2013Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
For the next few people who see this....
Setting: NCAA Tourney, Sweet Sixteen, 5 MARQ vs 1 UGAR (created school)
I just called 3 straight TO's and made the trey to force the Double Overtime. With 4.3 sec. to inbound the ball I called for the 1-2-1-1 press to stop them for getting up court. He ended up falling (taking the nap) and turning the ball over. I could have won but the controller slipped out of my hands and I hit A as he was going for the wide open layup. He passed the ball and I didn't get the shot off.
Bold for emphasis. Wish me luck.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Still rolling along with my Radford legacy, last season we finished 24-5 (simming). We had the Triple Towers, 3 PFs with 77, 79, 82 overall ratings respectively. One game they had 79 points and 37 rebounds combined. We rolled through conference play (undefeated) and the conference tournament but lost in the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament 55-54 to West Virginia.PS4 Username: grismosw7Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just finished season 5 at Nevada (7th season overall) completed perfect 40-0 season (all hoopcast sim) by winning national championship in 97-95 nail biter over 1 seed Georgetown. Came back from down 93-84 with just over 3:30 left and took the lead for good on an And-1 by best player Isaiah Sorrentine (rated 91) with 16 seconds left. Typical season novelization coming in a week.Last edited by Jenkins; 05-10-2010, 01:32 PM.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Getting ready to play the National Title game in my 4th Season at UC Davis. I have already won 2 National Titles (Year 1 and Year 3) (I lost the National Title in Year 2 against Duke). It's the end of my Fab 5 (Created 5 players from guy's here on the boards who follow my legacy), now I have to decide to stay at UC Davis until a Power Program comes calling or move on to a Mid-Major for a couple of years..I do have a FR 5* PG returning (another created player from a board member) as well as a 7'0 4* SO C (Also a created player from a board member) plus 6 incoming freshman so it's tempting to just stick it out even though the Big West is getting sorta boring to play. I have gone 30-2 the past 2 years.
I am excited to play the game, I am going up against Georgia Tech which has 2 created players from board members and they have beat me early this year and last year both by 2 points..Comment
