In the offseason, my alma mater, the Auburn Tigers, fired head coach Tony Barbee after back-to-back losing seasons. I don't know how they did two years ago exactly, but the previous year they went 8-25 with their wins coming from non-conference cupcake games and the occasional SEC win. They made the tournament my first season as an 8 seed, but since then the wins have come few and far between.

The Tigers, looking for another coach, sent an offer my way. Ever since I started doing career legacies, it's been my dream to coach at my alma mater, regardless of how crappy they were, just to get a chance to build them into a powerhouse team. Only once in a previous legacy did the Auburn job become available, and it was right after my first year at a new school, so I couldn't get it.

So needless to say, I took the job. If this were real life, I'd be considered crazy to take it because I had a great team coming back, and after two years, I was finally getting the team the way I wanted them to be. Well, I know I'll have more fun coaching Auburn than I would at GW, simply because I've never seen Auburn play in the NCAA tournament so it's a personal goal.

However, this is going to be a rough transition. Auburn has some big holes. The starting five can hang with some good teams I believe, but their bench is weak, and Alabama is a tough state to recruit in. I'm having to battle UF, FSU and Miami for recruits in Florida. Tough to get a 4-star guy interested when you go 8-25 the previous year.

When I took over recruiting, I was able to grab one guy with the last scholarship I had. He was a 4-star PG that other teams passed over. He's a tremendous gunner and doesn't ever seem to miss.

I've played two games so far and am having a blast playing as my alma mater. I hope I can keep from getting fired in 2 years, but if I do, it's at least worth it to coach the team I love the most.
I had something similar happen to me in my franchise. Not my Alma Mater but a huge Michigan fan since 85. I lost my previous franchise when my PS3 crashed. So I started a new with default rosters.
After 5 years at UC Riverside which saw me make the NCAA's every year I moved on to UTEP. While there I had a winning record every year but only made 1 NCAA tournament. My last year there I won the NIT tournament. I didn't have very high hopes going into the offseason with getting a better job but low and behold when I went to job offers I saw, Syracuse, Duke, Michigan and Minnesota all where looking for new coaches. I wasn't offered the Syracuse job but I was with Duke. Before I accepted I scrolled down to the Michigan job to see what was going on and I was #1 on their list as well. So I had no choice but to pass up Duke and take over the Wolverines. they were coming off of a 11-17 season and hadn't made the NCAA tournament since 2011 or 4 years ago. I was so pumped. In year 1 we are 12-1 so far just getting ready to hit the Big Ten trail and I can't wait!

Yea it is, I run a 10 man rotation. So every injury hurts because I dont have a backup for backups, they always transfer any time I try to run with more than 10.

Ended my 2018 season with 5 straight losses but still managed an RPI of 35 and no losses to teams over an RPI of 80.

I still didn't get into the NCAA Tournament. Yuck.

As I bring in one more five star recruit, I FINALLY win the National Championship, against Kentucky, won 110-100, in a game that was tight as a butthole for nearly the entire thing. My lone senior, whom was my first ever recruit at Idaho, dropped 31 points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds from the small forward position, my 3 star Junior C put up 26/10/5(blocks), my first five star, a Junior PF put up 21 points and 5 steals, and a four star sophomore PG put up 17 points, 8 assists, and 6 steals.

No idea who's leaving, or if I'll even stay, but here's to my first with Idaho, a mere four years in!

1st season in LIU is over. Everyone came back from injury in time for the conference tournament. We beat St Francis, the lost to Wagner.

I lucked up and got a 4* PF who UCLA passed on.

The goal this year is to win the NEC! We had 3 guys graduate last year my starting SF, PF, and back up C. So with the majority of our team returning we should be able to make a little noise this year

As in HS Freshman/Soph? No, none of them, some of them started out in the final recruiting period of their junior year being recruited by Idaho(most of my recruiting I try to do in-season, and then save the off-season to jump start next years recruiting. But overall, I generally scan the five stars before I start the season, then find the ones that have 3 or 4 schools interested, and all of them with low interest, and go hard after them.

I've won six, SIX, National Championships in my sixteen years at Kansas, and last season I finally earned a lifetime contract (for the record, I don't know how I did it. I heard you have to go undefeated to get it, but apparently that's not the case). I've been bringing in amazing classes for the past decade, and Kansas has always finished in the Top 10. I'm also closing in on win #1000, which is pretty damn huge.

Does anyone know legacies last until?

I think it's close to the end in my Legacy (currently 2045, and I just got a lifetime contract), so I'll definitely finish up in Lawrence. I think they'll have to either rename the Allen Fieldhouse after me, or name another building on campus.

When I retire, I'll put up my coach's career stats.

Just finished my regular season 30-0 with my Ohio State Buckeyes in 2023-24. Senior night was actually pretty special for me, as these were the seniors that I recruited to help turn around a program that had gone 3-27 before I got there and hadn't made the tourney in 8 years.

                              They last for 40 years.

So either 2048 or 2049 would be the last one... I honestly don't remember what year the legacy starts at haha.

Well im in my 6th season at Illinois and i have had to battle every night in the Big 10 and have won two regular season titles in that time with one being split with Wisconsin but no NC yet.Right now my team is sitting at 9-2 and ranked #4 in the nation.I have had some of the best recruiting battles since ive had this game(release date).Ohio State,Wisconsin,Indiana,Illinois and Michigan all want the same 5 star guys.Throw in other Big name programs in the Big ten and our region and its a dog fight each year.

At 9-2 ranked #4 in the nation my next game is against #8 Wisconsin (10-2).We just came off one of the best recruiting battles last year trying to pickup the #1 overall player, PG Hakeem Welsh. We battled week after week going back and forth as the top schools until he signed with Wisconsin I had been recruitin the kid since he was a freshmen and he came from Chicago!!Thought i was in bad shape as my current PG, a 5 star JR, was projected as a lottery pick and i knew he was gone. But he suprised his old coach and came back for his Sr year.He is projected as a "top pick" now so i guess it was a good choice.BUT so is the freshmen PG Hakeem Welsh so it should be a nice little showdown in Madison.

So glad ive held on to this game over the years. My rotation of games is steady changing but one game has always stayed. It might get a bit dusty and not touched for months sometimes, but soon as College Ball heats up and i get that itch, I dust it off and toss it in and its as satisfying as any game out there new or old.
