Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Wow, I just got fired after 3 years at UPenn and nobody will hire me. That's never happened to me before. Pretty pissed because I had almost every player coming back next year and a really good transfer ready to start playing. I don't even have a save far back enough to try and reverse my fortune.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Conference game between a team that, while not my rival, is still constantly in contention for the top of the conference. To be top dog in the Big 12 with KSU, I really need to defend home court.
Yet the run and rolfstomp all over me in the first half forcing turnovers and scoring on the fast break. I make some adjustments and by the end of the half I was down 5. Not great, but much better than where the game was hitting.
After allowing them to hit about 60% of their shots in the first half, my adjustments slowed down their scoring. I managed to get some shots from beyond the arc and in transition and ya de ya de ya da, I'm up 8 with 2 and a half minutes to go.
All is well. I'm at home. My 6th man is red and nearly full.
Then the other team forces three straight turnovers. I try and slow down the clock, and they just strip the ball out from under me. Constantly. My 8 point lead becomes a 1 point lead with 15 seconds to go after my opponent misses 1 free throw.
So one of my best FT shooters gets fouled. Surely I can hit the one and one, right? WRONG. Other team gets the ball back and goes for the last shot. Their star SF gets a relatively clean look but fortunately it's a long jumper and it bounces off the rim.
I get the defensive rebound. Same player who took the 1&1 gets fouled, and once again missed the front end of the 1 and 1. Fortunately, there is only 1.5 seconds left.
Great to escape with a 1 point win. But not so great blowing that kind of lead in the closing minutes. I actually benched my starting PG after he put us in the penalty with a stupid foul.Comment

I can move up the ranks, Texas/UCLA, but even when I get there I can't get into the top 25 recruiting wiseComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Started a legacy simming most games using 2007-08 rosters and took the job at St Francis (PA). Had some bad seasons, but ultimately in my first time in the NCAA tourney had some amazing luck. Came in as the 13th Seed and upset West Virginia, and luckily enough for me Hawaii (12th) was my opponent. Fairly even teams and I got through, losing horribly in the Sweet Sixteen.

08-09 - Saint Francis (PA) - 22-11 - NIT 1st Round
09-10 - Saint Francis (PA) - 12-17 - N/A

11-12 - Saint Francis (PA) - 26-10 - Sweet Sixteen
Took the job at Akron after Mike Dambrot went to UCONN. The program was really bad when I got there and I had to do a lot of rebuilding, took me about 3 seasons to actually get a good team out there. Spent a long time at Akron, 9 years in total. Made the NCAA tourney 5 out of the 9 seasons, 1st round once, 2nd round three times and Sweet Sixteen once. Had my first Pro player as well, Bryan Tsagaris or something along those lines. Amazing player, 7'2" PF rated 87. Came in as a 7 footer when I recruited him but grew to beast. First rounder.
12-13 - Akron - 9-20 - N/A
13-14 - Akron - 15-16 - N/A
14-15 - Akron - 21-10 - N/A
15-16 - Akron - 26-7 - Second Round
16-17 - Akron - 17-10 - N/A
17-18 - Akron - 21-12 - Second Round
18-19 - Akron - 26-8 - Sweet Sixteen
19-20 - Akron - 27-6 - Second Round
20-21 - Akron - 24-7 - First Round
At this point I was content being at Akron until John Beilein retired from Michigan and there was a job opening. I was their first choice and took the job.. however the program was absolutely horrible. The only good players on the team were the 3 seniors that were leaving the season that I got there.. and who did they replace them with? A 2 star and two 3 stars with no potential. Great, another rebuilding project. Had some really rough years with Michigan but I finally got them to where I wanted them to be.
21-22 - Michigan - 16-16 - N/A
22-23 - Michigan - 21-14 - NIT Winner
23-24 - Michigan - 18-14 - N/A
24-25 - Michigan - 14-18 - N/A
25-26 - Michigan - 15-16 - N/A
26-27 - Michigan - 29-8 - National Champions
It was all worth it though, first season with Michigan in the NCAA we won it all. Beat San Diego State with a buzzer beating layup from my point guard. My starting PF and my sixth man left after the Championship however all my best players remained. Michigan is ranked 13th in the pre-season media poll and I have 3 seniors projected to be drafted (Lottery, and 2 first rounders) and a 7' 2" C Sophmore that is a Lottery pick atm.
There is absolutely no way I would have gotten through this many seasons without simming and that's probably why the records aren't the best, but I do like how far this has gone. The moment the Georgetown job comes up though, I'm taking it in a heartbeat.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Followed that win with a (more comfortable) 9 point victory over Oral Roberts and a 15 point win over NDSU to win the conference tournament. We have a 12-Seed in the NCAA tournament (before the conference tourney, we were projected as a 15.) and will face 5-seed Alabama in the first round.MLB: Minnesota Twins
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles
NBA: Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves
European Football: Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion
NCAA: UNI Panthers, Iowa Hawkeyes

I'm looking for a new challenge now, might start a new legacy with the hopes of making it to an SEC school.

In year 4 of my UNC Pembroke (created team, began year 1 as the worst team in the game) Legacy, I wound up with my first 4* recruit who was a local kid from Winston Salem. He is a SG and a complete BEAST, came in rated 70 overall which puts him tied (with my SR PG who has started all 4 years) as my best active player...I say active, because I also got a transfer from Kansas who is a 75 SR SG, who is sitting this year due to the transfer. I also got a solid 3* PF who starts along with my 69 rated JR SF and a SR C who is in the low 60s. It'll be tough losing my C and PG, but next year will be fun with the 2 SGs, SF and PF hopefully I can snag a C that can come in and make an impact right away. I plan to use one of the SGs at PG.
Back to my 4* kid though, he can jump out pf the gym, is a 79 rated 3 pt shooter, and so far through 6 games has been unstoppable. Its so much fun to finally have a kid that can finish strong at the basket and actually finish alley-oops! I just hope he stays around.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Started out with the 2012-2013 roster at UPenn. Stayed there for about 9 years where I slowly built them up from being middle of the pack Ivy League team to easily the best Ivy League team. Ended up landing a few top 100 recruits and became a 90 overall team and went on a miracle run to reach the NCAA Championship game against top seeded Indiana. My 6'2" senior SG led me there averaging around 25 a game. Ended up being a back and forth game, but Indiana made a run and took a 10 point lead with 2 minutes left and I thought I was finished.
My 6'2" SG ended up hitting 4 3's in the final 2 minutes. I tied it up with 18 seconds left and then forced a turnover with my press, held onto the ball for the last shot and got to the hoop for a buzzer beating layup to win the title.
With that shocking win, and the fact that basically all of my best players were graduating (2 were good enough to go to the NBA), I ended up taking a HC offer at Duke to make the jump from a Small program to a Power conference team. I didn't reach the tournament in my first 4 seasons at Duke, but ended up having 5 and 6 scholarships to give out in back to back years, so I'm now to the point where those 11 guys are seniors and juniors. The entire team is 80+ overall guys and I'm once again in the Championship after beating #1 seed Indiana to get there.
Not sure if I'm going to stay at Duke long-term, but I just couldn't pass up an offer like that. Before Duke, the best offer I had received was to take over at VCU.NFL: Bills

Wait you can create a school in this game...? How did I not know this?Comment

You can, I don't recall right away where it is in the menu though. Its pretty basic and limited...but you can swap them for an existing team at the start of a Legacy.
We (UNCP) play an extremely weak schedule (beat Gonzaga in a pre-season tourny, and caught UK on a down year...all others are horrible small schools who may never make the tournament) and am sitting undefeated with about 7 games left. Had a couple scares from teams I should have beaten handily. My star freshman leads the nation in scoring and assists, the few games he has been held in check my FR PF has stepped up. I expect to run the rest of the regular season and conf. tourny since I have already played each of them once and had no real issues. We will see what happens come NCAA Tourny time.
I was sure this would be my last year with UNCP, but I am having too much fun and cant imagine what next year might be like with my Kansas transfer playing too. I think the only way I leave is if Clemson or Appalachian State offer...and even then I'll have to think looong and hard.Comment
