Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just started my 4th year at Sacramento State. We made a run and won it all last year. I was expecting another 2nd round loss like the previous 2 years, but even with our starting center getting hurt we took it home. Couple that with the best recruiting class to date (#12), I had to stay. We're are starting 3 juniors, 1 sophomore, and 1 freshman. I'll probably stay until those juniors leave, unless I get an offer from a team I can't refuse. The best offer I've had to date was Houston.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Well we beat Minnesota to get into the Sweet 16, then lost to Charlotte. But great run nevertheless!
In the off season I assembled the BEST team I ever have. I had the #3 recruiting class and it looks like we're starting to build something special in Long BeachRather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
So, I ended up only winning 9 games that season, but by some miracle we ran the table in the A-Sun Tourney and made the NCAA tournament, winning by 20 in the Play In Game against American before being killed by Michigan State. My second season was, in a word, horrible. I had a tough time recruiting and ended up paying for it as I lost my two best players and only won 6 games. I'm currently in my third season, had a decent recruiting class (brought in a 3* C in Ryan Rickert and two 2* SGs in Winston Hardy and Norris McLaren) and we have gone 13-15 on the season, but 10-6 in conference (decided to switch up my strategy by slowing our play down mid-season and that led to better results) earning a 2 seed in the A-Sun Tourney.MLB: Minnesota Twins

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Well, I was plugging along with my Auburn legacy...was 10-3 going into conference play...and during my first conference game against Kentucky...I got the dreaded YLOD. My PS3 became completely unresponsive so I turned it off and when I tried to turn it back on...it gave me the yellow light.
So I had to go out and get a new PS3, and of course I lost all my saved data so I started from scratch again. I took over Murray State to start off. The Racers were 64 overall as a team, but they had Isaiah Canaan at the point...he was 85 overall, so needless to say we leaned on him the first year.
The OVC is very easy when you have a guy like Canaan on the team. We rolled over everyone in the first year...went 25-2 in the regular season with the only two losses coming on the road against Arkansas State and Belmont, two teams that really just outplayed us. We won the conference tourney and earned a 7 seed. Sadly, since we played a garbage schedule, we were exposed as frauds pretty early on as Notre Dame knocked us out of the first round.
After Canaan graduated, the next year was tougher, but we still somehow managed a 25-5 regular season record with a conference tournament championship. The team as a whole was not great, but since the OVC isn't all that great either, we were able to put together a good record. Once again we landed a 7 seed in the NCAA Tourney, but got bounced in the first round for the second straight year, this time by Florida.
We had some good 3* recruits coming in to add a lot of depth to the team, but in the offseason Gonzaga head coach Mark Few took over the vacant job at UCONN. Several other high profile jobs were available at power conferences, but once they were all filled, Gonzaga offered me the head coaching job. Knowing it would be a huge step up, and with a team poised to make a good run next year, I took it.
Here's hoping I can fill the big shoes left by coach Few.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Good luck with that! I left LIU after winning the NC thinking that if I could produce a winner at LIU I could do it anywhere! WRONG I spent 2 nightmare years at Niagra and then I accepted the job at Long Beach St where I've been for the past 3 seasons. Last year was the first time I had made the tournament since winning it all at LIU and I currently feel like I'm building something special at Long Beach St. So I dont see me leaving for the bright lights anytime soon (not that Niagra was a great school, but it is in a bigger conference than I was in at LIU)!Rather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..Comment

Going to start an open legacy (something I have only done one other time) at Kentucky after I make UK's recruiting class + Wiggins & Hawkins who I think they will get. I will be playing every other team from this year, but oh well.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Year one at Gonzaga was an absolute success. Went 30-4 on the year, with one of the three losses coming to #1 Arizona by 4 points. I managed to go undefeated in the West Coast Conference.
With my combined loss totals...I have 12 losses in 3 years as a coach...guess it pays to be a powerful team in a crappy conference haha
We earned a 3 seed in the tourney and breezed past Loyola (IL) in the first round. In the second round we played 11-seed Georgia, a team that had a shoddy record (17-14) but managed to sneak into the tourney. I took them too lightly and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope lit us up for 22 points and the Bulldogs got the upset. Caldwell-Pope later went on to win the Naismith Award, so I didn't feel too bad about losing to them.
We were losing two starters to graduation, so recruiting was crucial in my first year, and boy did we score big. I love putting up three pointers so we needed a good shooter...and we snagged a 4* SG from Washington State, and he'll start next year. We also scored a huge signing...the #1 PF and #5 overall recruit...a 5* High School AA and Mr. Basketball for the state of Oregon chose us...so now we have a great presence inside along with our big time gunners. Managed to secure the #3 recruiting class in the country with one 5* (the PF), two 4* (a SG and a SF) and a 3* (another SG).
Our starting lineup for the next season looks like this. Bear with me, I don't remember the names off the top of my head.
PG - We have a 79 OVR sophomore who won Conference Freshman of the Year last year.
SG - Our 4* guy (76 OVR) that we signed. He's a dynamite three point shooter and will be a big asset to that part of our offense.
SF - We had a SG (74 OVR) who's a senior this year. He filled in for our SG that was injured for a month last season. This guy came in and held his own. Him, our freshman SG and our starting PG are all strong from behind the arc so we'll be chucking up a lot of threes this year.
PF - Our 5* freshman (81 OVR). Great big man with a huge inside presence. If our shooting goes cold...we may lean on him a good bit
C - We have a senior (74 OVR) that's played the last three years on teams that have made it to the second round or better in the NCAA tournament. He's the guy with the most experience and one we can count on to get us out of a jam.
We have good depth, but our bench players couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. I'll depend on them for dribble drives, but if our starting 5 can't get the job done, we may be in for some long games. I feel fairly certain that it'll be another good year for the Zags.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
And after getting bounced by Lipscomb in the conference tourney (the third time out of 3 the Bisons beat us.) I was fired and couldn't find a job. So, I started over again with Western Illinois. This team certainly plays my style (plenty of 3 point shooters) but so far we are just 1-3 with our lone win coming by 4 at home against UT-Pan American. Man I'm awful at this game.MLB: Minnesota Twins

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Well, things are looking way up for this W. Illinois team. We are now 19-8 and lost only 3 conference games, earning the #1 seed in the conference tourney. We now face UMKC, the 8 seed... who beat us by 20 on our home floor the last time we played. Needless to say, I'm kind of scared of this matchup, but we did beat them handily on their home floor in our first matchup of the season. In other news, I'm still a horrible recruiter.MLB: Minnesota Twins

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I was at UCLA for years and could never make it to the Final 4 (I sim all my games) and got frustrated and went to build a smaller school (Tulane). Couple years in I went to the Final 4 and lost to Georgia, following year I met Georgia AGAIN in the Final 4, this time beat them and went on to win the championship. I started the previous 2 seasons ranked #1 overall, last season I had a Senior C who was a 90 overall and got player of the year, dude averaged 31 points a game, and almost put up 50 a couple games (49 once and 48 another), consistently put up 40 points. Dude was ridiculous. Went to the Elite 8 and lost though, but I think 4/5 times simming, I would have won the title.. I played some 16 seed in the first round and won like 79-29, then beat 9 seeded Michigan like 82-39 or something ridiculous. Squeezed by Kansas by about 10 and ended up losing to a really good George Washington team. Luckily only had that Senior Center go pro and one JR go to the draft so still have a realllly good team, #1 to start this season. I don't know who is going to score the way my center did last year but the team is really good so someone will fill in.Comment

I started off with the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats using Vtcrb all conference sliders and the 12-13 roster.
07-08 Bethune 17-18, lost in a play in game
08-09 Bethune 15-21 lost in a play in game
09-10 Harvard 20-10 NIT
10-11 Harvard 25-6 first round exit
11-12 Harvard 22-10 first round exit
12-13 VCU 22-9 NIT
13-14 VCU 34-5, National Champions! I was the 5th seed and just did awesome, beat 4th seed Wisconsin in the sweet 16 by about 10, beat 1 seed texas in the elite eight, then probably the second best team in the nation in the Arizona wildcats, and then 3 Missouri to win, just got hired by Syracuse (who made it to the final 4) because Boheim retired, and it's going to be awesomeGig'em Aggies!Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I was just wondering if anybody had seen Sean Miller (depends on the roster you use) leave/retire/get fired from Arizona? Zona is probably my dream job at the moment, but I've personally never seen him leave the school. Just want to know if I'm wasting my time waiting for it to open up.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Wow... Just wow... Just finished that UMKC game and it was by far the craziest game I've ever played. I went into halftime down 2 and things only got worse in the second half as with 6 minutes left, the Roos extended their lead to 14. I thought it was over, but I came back, cutting the lead to 8 with 2 minutes left. I thought for sure that there was still no way for me to come back, but after cutting it to 6, I hit threes on two straight possessions, putting me on level pegging with 20 seconds left. I force a missed three, get it to half court and call time with 5 seconds left. I inbound the ball to my PG who cuts in on their zone and puts up a shot over their C... and it falls in with .6 seconds left. They don't get a shot off, we take the game and move on to face Oral Roberts in round 2 of the Summit League tourney. I'm still in shock.MLB: Minnesota Twins
