Yea this what I do also! I do get random injuries..but hey its part of the game. Ive built Howard into a 80 ovl rated team and the rest of the MEAC is 55-66ovl. But I doubt I'll leave while my twin towers are in school. Then I just realized that my PG has grown into a 6'6" beast of PG. All 3 players came in together so it'll be interesting to see what happens at the end of next year.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Well, I lost to UW-Green Bay, 102-99, in what turned out to be my last game at Pacific. I accepted the job at George Mason, so I'll be moving on to the CAA, and hopefully better recruits.
Holy ****, I just looked at the roster and they actually have some good pieces. Two freshmen over 70 (one a walk-on!), and every other starter is a 70 or over. I might be able to build something here.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just won my first NCAA tournament game 81-56. Expected as I'm a #2 seed, but it was still nice to see my team play so well after our loss to LSU in the SECt.Writer for Operation Sports

3PEAT! 3PEAT! 3PEAT! Just beat UCLA in a tight one for our 3rd consecutive NC! UNC, St Johns, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Mississippi st, Georgia, have all offered me a job! But my twin towers didnt leave so I dont want to leave them for their SR year. I think I'll stay for the 4peat!Rather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
George Mason has been incredible. Two conference championships, we've gotten better every year (2nd Round year 1, NIT Quarterfinals year 2, and Sweet 16 year 3). Plus, this is the second straight year signing multiple 4* players. I was this close to being offered jobs at UNC and Syracuse. Next year, though... next year.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I play as UConn because it is my home state and they are my beloved team. This game frustrates the living sh_t out of me! My first year I was 15-14 and missed the NIT. It was similar to what the expectation was for this season but Kevin Ollie has them playing out of their skulls. True to real life I get dominated on the boards and I am wildly inconsistent from deep. Year two everyone stays and I add no major pieces and I finish 20-10 and make the sweet 16 as 3 seed. Funny thing is my talent level seems to be going down but my team rating is going up and the game is easier. I am having trouble adding major talent and the 3 and 1 or 2 four star guys I get have the worst form when shooting it is impossible to make baskets. Oddly enough in my third year I make it to the sweet 16 and I am destroyed by eventual champion Texas. Daniels averages 23 points a game and is conf player of the year but I am burnt out on using fake players and I am starting back up again in season one with the current rosters.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I read these forums and this thread all the time. Figured I would post some stuff about my legacy, so I made a new account (forgot the info for my old one.)
I started off at Florida Gulf Coast and spent two years there, going 18-17 and 21-15. Made the tourney both years losing in the first and second round.
I then took the head coaching job at San Francisco. In my first six years (137-65) we either couldn't make it past the second round (five time) or went to the NIT (once, runner-up.) In my seventh year we went 27-9 and finally made it past the second round, but we lost in the Sweet Sixteen. I was lucky though and had an 86 overall senior transfer who was ready to play going into my eighth year. We went 32-5, made the tourney as a four seed (highest ever) and got to the Final Four, but we were eliminated by Minnesota.
During the off-season I was offered the HC jobs at Louisville and Minnesota. Part of me wanted to stay with SF to see what more we could accomplish in March, because in my last few years we really started to dominate the WCC by winning the regular season and tourney championship in back to back years. And I was also starting to bring in better recruits. But I figured leading SF to the Final Four was probably the best I could do there so I accepted the Louisville position.
I'm still in my first season and am currently ranked 23rd with a record of 11-1. I'm starting a new rivalry with Louisville and South Carolina. Mark Few (Gonzaga HC) took the SC job awhile back in my legacy, so now that we are both coaching at top schools I figured I would schedule a game against his team every year. I won the first match-up 76-71.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just went 12-15 in my first year with Wofford. Recruiting was horrible. I had 5 open scholarships and offered all 5 only to have a 2* PF from Arizona who is 6'11 248 accept. My highest rated player is my starting PF who is rated a 74. Most of my players are rated in the high 40's to low 60's otherwise. Gonna be a rough 2nd season. Decided to turn off the recruiting assistance and do all the recruiting myself . Gonna be tough because Wofford is not in an area with a lot of talent anyhow.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I finished my first season at Louisville our record was 26-5, ranked 12th, won the Big East regular season title, but lost in the Big East tourney. We entered the NCAA tourney as a two seed. Having this high of a seed exceeded my expectations for the year as I didn't even imagine winning the Big East, because it was so tough (more on that later.) In the tourney we beat some very good teams before being knocked out by Syracuse in the Final Four. Final record: 30-6.
The reasoned I was shocked that we won the Big East was because of how many great teams there were. Almost every game we played was against a ranked team or a team with a good record. The Big East ended up getting nine teams in; five among the top 16 seeds and two were number ones (Georgetown and Notre Dame.) Going into the Final Four three out of the four teams were from the Big East; Louisville, Syracuse (6) and Villanova (3) Cuse and Nova went on to the NC game and Nova won.
I also kept note of what went on at my old job, San Francisco. They ended the regular season 25-6, WCC regular season champs, ranked 10th and went into the tourney as a two seed. They were upset in the second round by Boston College (7) and their final record was 26-7. Seeing as how their first year went without me at the helm I feel like I left them very well off haha
And an interesting side note that I saw in the off-season was a year after taking the Minnesota job, the guy who took it retired. I can't remember his name but they finished the season 17-15.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
it'll take about 4 years to get decent 3* players and that all you really need. I've been coaching Howard in DC, theres tons of talent but also tons of competition. I've won the NC 3x's in a row with 3* recruits. Just recruit guys who fit your style ( plus it cant hurt my PF is 7'2" and my C 7'5" my PG 6'6" and wings both 6'8") They're all 3*s with my C having won back2back NPoY. Bottom line is 3*s are all you really need. Its your style of play and who match up with in the tourney that means more at least IMO.Rather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
This afternoon I'll start what will probably be my last season at Howard. The Twin Towers and they're comrades will all graduate this season sending Howard back to mediocrity! If we win the NC again, that will be 4 for 4 while they were here. It'll also be the perfect opportunity to leave before I get attached to new guys coming. And I've been wanting to coach in a power conference to see if I can still dominate (Big East is my preference). My in conference games were so boring it would take me a forever to push through to the post season. My perfect destination is the last place team in a power conference to see if I can bring them up to the topRather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..Comment
